Received HORRIBLE Service by Carmen (girl with yellow necklace with huge letter "C" on it). I went into this location after not being here for almost a decade. I came to visit a friend who was in town visiting from another country and I wanted to take her to a place that is known in Modesto. I informed Carmen about my friend who had never had YM and if it would be okay if she sampled a few things. I explained how I used to work here when I was younger and loved working all the catering events and worked at multiple stores before the other two were opened. Everything was fine until I spoke a different language to my friend (non-English speaker). Her demeanor changed and she now had an attitude. I didn't think much of it and placed my friend's order first. I'm an adult and not going to give into a teenager's attitude. I started sampling a few items and then asked for recommendations (at this point my friend's yogurt had been sitting on the counter for about 3 mins) and I asked her if she could hand me the yogurt (child's cup w/topping) and was told that I had to pay for it first. I was a bit shocked but said okay I understand, I will pay for it. I was asked if I had the YM app which I didn't but told her I could download it real quick. Her response was, "Per policy, you will have to lose out on today's points and do it next time." I told her I could download it real quick as I still had to place my order. (Nobody was in line as it was close to closing time). She then proceeded to get me my yogurt and still left my friends yogurt behind the counter melting. I got my item with cheesecake bites which were really disgusting and smeared on by a spoon on the side of the cup not even on the yogurt. My friend even made a comment asking what disgusting topping I ordered since it looked really bad. I asked Carmen if she would be able to get me actual cheesecake bites and she rolled her eyes and threw my yogurt really hard into the garbage can, she turned the corner and whispered to the girls over by the drive-thru window and they all peeked over from behind the counter and stared at us giving dirty looks. She then handed me a new yogurt and my friend's now melted yogurt (after I paid). I asked her who the shift lead was and she said "it's private." and would not give her name as it was "private." I walked up to the counter where the toppings are and asked who the shift lead was and a young girl came over and said it was her and that she was unaware of what was going on (even though she was part of the girls that Carmen was talking to in the corner). I explained what happened and asked her what we did wrong and about the policy regarding the yogurt and not handing it over until it's paid. She looked a bit shocked when I said that and said "Sorry, I'll give you a refund, just don't make a big deal about it" I didn't take the refund and walked out. I didn't go to YM for a free yogurt, it was meant to be an experience for a friend who was visiting. My friend and I sat in our car and then realized we both were given the wrong flavors but at least got the right toppings. I went in the next morning and sat in the lobby and watched how other customers with children and their friends or families would order their yogurts and then it would be handed to them. I asked to speak to the manager and I spoke to a nice young lady who was very understanding and apologized for the situation. Not sure if we were racially profiled and/or if Carmen needs better training. My friend said she would not return for melted yogurt or bad service. I also reached out to YM requesting a call back and have not heard anything back. It has now been almost a week. I would not recommend this place. As you see in the reviews, you'll get a yogurt with a side of Attitude and Carmen gave extra attitude on the house. read more

Crazy bang for your buck, so good! Seth is the man, holy shit the medium is large and he packed it with Oreos! Craving some froyo? Then it's simple and this place is for you. I went with the vanilla bean gelato with Oreos. It's my makeshift cookies and cream and it hit the spot! read more

Over the past 2 weeks yogurt mill at Oakdale road closed one of the drive through lanes. This has caused such a huge long line that back ups onto the side of the road next to taco bell. I waited for a bit and turned back and went to taco bell instead. I looked over at the window and it seems only 2 workers was there. They normally have 6+ workers at yogurtmill. I also tried parking my car as r and going inside, but recently they closed their doors off, probably because there are only 2 workers there. Strange that last month there were no issues and they had indoor dining/ordering. Yogurt is good, service sucks :( read more

Love the service and the quality! The drive thru line moves quickly since they have two separate lanes. Love the flavors!

Our family go to, right on the Virginia trail after a walk or bike ride. They even have free pup treats and water for your fur babies!

Just pulled in the drive through at 10:40. Was told by worker outside they close at 10:30 on the weekends. Hours here on Yelp say 11pm and also says 11pm when I googled the hours. We drove from Escalon based on posted hours when I googled Yogurt Mill. Company should keep proper hours posted. read more

This place is a treat to go to. The frozen yogurt is always delicious. My only complaint is that the teenage staff are alwaysssss goofing off that it has affected my order a few times. Kind of annoying honestly. read more

The Yogurt Mill is outstanding. The yogurt is always delicious, and the staff is always courteous. On hot summer nights in the Central Valley, the Yogurt Mill always offers a cool refreshing treat. Five stars. read more

People in Modesto really like their drive-thru yogurt. I feel like there's always a line at this place. There are a few tables inside to sit at, but most people prefer their yogurt on the go. The peppermint oreo cookie flavor I tried for the holidays was okay. I liked that it wasn't overly sweet. But neither the peppermint flavor or oreo cookie shined through. It's not a self serve place. They make the cups of yogurt for you behind the counter. For the price, I think it's just okay. I'm not sure how this place beats a $4 1.75 quart of ice cream. If you plan on visiting here multiple times, make sure to get a free frequent buyer card. I think you get a free birthday yogurt. read more

Yogurt Mill is mostly fabulous. But the inside is small. Not enough seats. The service is okay but I wish the place was bigger. The service is good but it takes to long inside. read more

Love the yogurt here but it's become really expensive... $0.75 per topping on a child's size, which would be fine if they were normal portions, but $2.25 extra for a measly chocolate drizzle, sprinkle of Oreos, and barely any espresso crumble is not worth it. Not to mention they put a lid on it which smushes it to the point where it's inedible and spills all over you when you open it to eat. They need to put the child size in a bigger cup if you have toppings. Like I said the yogurt tastes good, but the eating experience has not been enjoyable recently for the insane price. Guess I will stick to the Pelandale location where topping prices are by weight. read more

We love Yogurt Mill in general but I just had to write a review for this experience! I was craving some YM but didn't feel like leaving the house after cleaning all day... so I did what any lazy person would do and I ordered door dash (cue embarrassing moment here hahaha) Anywho, once our yogurt arrived it put a big smile on my face. One of the employees took the time to write a fun little message on the bag. You can't help but smile when you see that!! Kudos Yogurt Mill! read more

It was our first time and we loved it. Our order was fresh and delicious with lots of choices to choose from. Our only suggestion was the changing scree in the drive thru - we had to wait several minutes for the item we were interested in to reappear on the scree so we could read the choices completely and decide. We will definitely be back! read more

Always good but really taking advantage of customers w/ price increases! I can't afford to go by as often.

Love it here they have such cute ideas for ice cream. Thier ice cream is so creamy and light I love the gelato. I have gotten thier unicorn come omg it was heaven. I will go back and get more from them and at least try everything. read more

1) They shouldn't sell bad products just for the purpose to fulfill an order while knowing people are going to eat their products, and 2) have better practices when handling food products at their site. My kids love the chocolate chip cookie dough. I placed an online pick-up order, and the batch I received are stale and hard--like they left the cover off of the container in the freezer or let the product sit out in room temperature and tried to re-freeze it. They could've easily told us the topping is unavailable, especially after seeing the dough is hardly edible, but they willingly and knowingly sold us something that's old, expired, and stale and hoped their customers will just toss it out and not mention it. No bueno. For their credit, the product is typically good... it could be a fluke or pure laziness or an accident when handling the product or letting it sit out, but I still don't appreciate the dishonesty. read more

I would never been to the yogurt Mill in person. I know that probably sounds funny, but I have mine delivered by DoorDash. The best service ever. I wish I didn't like the yogurt so much. read more

Wow.... terrible service how long does it take you to poor yogurt into a cup and throw some toppings on it?... you have 12 teeny boppers that don't know how to do they're job correctly. The fact that I was made to leave the line and wait for an additional 20minutes while I watched 5 people get served on just my side of the drive thru is and was unacceptable. This place has terrible service and the kids here are entitled I will never come here again and will make sure everyone I know doesn't either.... terrible terrible service P.S the little boy looking man with a cheap gold chain and a girly voice got mad and threw the bag at me, it took a lot not to smack him. read more

We love the yogurt selections, great topping portions! The service is great. The double drive through is so convenient. The employees seem to be having fun making a fun and welcoming ambiance read more

I'm not sure what's happened to my all time favorite yogurt spot. I've been coming to this business, either the Oakdale Rd spot or the original one on Roseburg, for the last 30+ years. The last few times I have gone, the yogurt has had more of a whipped, mousse type consistency instead of what it used to be - dense, delicious frozen yogurt. If the consistency stays like this, I'll have to find a new spot. read more

I absolutely love this place is by far my favorite the staff is always so friendly the drive-thru never takes very long and if you choose to go in they have board games for the kids to play with the inside is always clean the bathroom is always clean and the flavors are just delicious I'm a type 1 diabetic so I have to get sugar-free which everybody knows usually when it's sugar free and means tasteless but you can't even tell that their yogurt is sugar free and they give you a lot of healthy protein options to put on it so you don't have to feel like you're not getting a topping like everybody else it's just a really good fit for my family and I and I would encourage anybody to try it read more

I went thru the dive thru today and they got my order wrong which honestly was just a simple misunderstanding and not their fault at all, they were having trouble hearing me and in the chaos of that they heard my order wrong. So i went back and asked to speak to a manger and see what they could do about it. The sweetest girl named Aubrey came out and immediately apologized for the mistake and remade the item they made wrong. These kids working here honestly are amazing! Just wanted to come on her and say everytime i come these kids are working super fast and have an amazing attitude! This was the first time they've ever made my order wrong. read more

We had a really bad experience at this location. We had an online order at it took my daughter at least 20 mins to get her to acknowledge her to open the freezer. Then when they opened it nothing was there so it took another 20 mins for her to get them to acknowledge her again. Finally a young male working told her. We can't find your order so someone must have taken it I will get to it when I can :so she waited another 15 mins. Finally they give her the order and when she went home she realized it was missing an item. I tried to call but no one anwered the phone. They did put an apology yogurt in there but it was in a flavor none of us wanted and the one that was missing was our dog's pup-yo so he was crying and wimpering when we got home and his was missing. Customer service is really terrible here these high schoolers need supervision they do not have enough life skills or training to be solo yet and there was not an adult supervisor in sight. read more

Yogurt Mill - Sorry yogurt in a flavor none of us wanted or liked meanwhile we were shorted what we actually paid for still. - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Modesto, California

Definitely one of the better yogurt shops/franchise for sure. A lot of yogurt shops fill their yogurts with air so it's not as thick and creamy as Yogurt Mills is, so definitely big plus for that. I think in the future if we are in the area and crave Froyo I'd rather us go to the one on Pelandale since it's pay by weight since this and Roseburgs ends up being pricey. $11.53 for two minis with toppings...kind of exuberant to me. Also, I really wish Yogurt Mill would really switch out of styrofoam cups...super bad for the environment. I bring my own bamboo spoon when I go and really hope more companies encourage their customers to bring their own because every little bit helps. read more

Make sure you have a full tank of gas, slowest service in modesto, no ever. Ther are 2 lanes but naturally I chose the guy that was sleeping, 6 people ordered on the other side and finally are guy woke up, then couldn't get the order through his head had to repeat several times. I would of had time to order a taco next door and eat it by the time I got my order. Never again!!! read more

Yogurt mill has been a staple in my family since I was a kid. So many flavors and always so fresh! Our favorite thing to order the past couple of years has been the Acai bowls, specifically the Cali Protein bowl. Although recently, we noticed the acai has changed and it is now way too sweet. Bring back the Sambazon Acai! read more

I was 2nd in line at the drive thru. The car in front of me had to wait at least 10min at the Menu before placing their order. When it was our turn the boy sd he would be right with us. We proceeded to wait 15 minutes, listening to him help 6 other cars at the other drive thru lane. I tried saying "Hello" 3x. We were never helped. We pulled forward and the Van that ordered before us was still there. We had to wait another 10min behind them in order to exit the drive thru. Finally someone collected their money. Are you serious???? 35min in the drive thru and we were never helped. This place has gone DOWNHILL. I have been a loyal customer 20+yrs and I will NEVER return. read more

So this use to be our go to place, but in the last couple months I feel they have really declined in service. We have just drove off multiple times and have finally called it quits. We go to order they repeat it back then tell us they are out of that flavor. Order another one, again out of that flavor then after the 3rd time and then being out you just take it as a sign this place does not want your business. Get it together guys it's one they to let us know your out another to take the order repeat it and then let us know. Pretty fed up at this point better options across the street that are never out. read more

I decided to go back after a not so great a experience a few months ago. I'm so glad I did! I could not resist the pineapple sorbet and the young lady taking my order also told me about about the watermelon sorbet and how I could swirl them together. How fun! I decided to splurge on some fresh strawberries and when asked I could not resist layering them. It was the perfect summer treat. I'm very impressed with my experience this time around and will come back soon... hopefully to try the green apple sorbet that one of the employees was raving about. You can tell there are some fresh kids in there who are excited about their job. Such great energy! Thank you yogurt mill (I will be deleting my other negative review, i no longer think it reflects the store that I just walked in to) these kids have got it down! read more

Yogurt Mill has always been and will continue to be one of my favorite places. Every morning I go and get my favorite, a Mocha Cold Brew Shake with dark chocolate chips added in. It is just so delish! The employees are always so kind and helpful, and even sometimes encourage me to try something new which is a risk I never regret taking. Some names that come to mind are Briana, Gisselle, Paige, and Adam, they're always there ready to serve with a smile on their face. Definitely a must try if you're new to the area or looking for a new spot! read more

One of my favorite yogurt places in town. The sorbets are always a favorite for me. Changing up the flavors is kind of a double edged sword- because you do get a good variety... But most of the time my favorites aren't there. Most of the time there's a pretty long line, but the customer service there is good and they get people through pretty quickly. Cheap for a quart too! read more

Love it! Their "no sugar added" ice cream was delish. Strawberry banana ice cream. But why in the heck was my mini serving (2nd smallest) smaller then the child's serving (smallest). My 3 yr old son got a cone twice the size of mine! Irritated the heck out of me! read more

The cousins wanted something sweet, so off to the Yogurt Mill we went, Im not a fan of ice cream or cold frozen treats, but have discovered I do love the salted caramel frozen yogurt covered in sprinkles, so I said why not. Now I am used to how Mojo works, you fill your cup, you add your toppings, and you pay the price per weight, so I was a little shocked to learn that's not how Yogurt Mill works. So after checking out the menu I went with a small salted caramel and added strawberry boba and sprinkles to it, sounds odd but tasted great! It was the perfect treat on a warm summers day. The only issue I had is when I walked In the floor was extremely wet from being just mopped, but I mean wet like puddles, I almost slipped and fell right when I walked in, I thought that wasn't cool. read more
