What is happening here? I decided to go inside last night, and the first thing that hit me was the smell. The entire place smelled like a dog groomer's shop almost like wet dog mixed with shampoo. Maybe it's wet towels or a drainage issue, but it was definitely noticeable. The next issue was the ordering process. Apparently, they no longer take your order by the toppings glass, but no one bothered to mention that. In fact, the 5-8 staff members who walked by us including the manager in the pink shirt never acknowledged us at all. No "Hello," no "Welcome in," nothing. Not exactly the example I'd expect a manager to set. We ordered two mini yogurts with lids, two sides of Heath topping, and a couple of other items. When our order was placed on the counter, neither yogurt had a lid, and none of the toppings were included. The employee walked away, and we had to wait for her to return so we could ask for the toppings and lids. When she finally came back, she handed us the toppings with what felt like a passive-aggressive attitude. One container was full, while the other was only about a quarter full and tossed into a bag. When I asked for the lids, she smirked and said, "They're in the bag." Maybe they were, but it would have taken very little effort to either finish the order properly by putting the lids on the yogurts or simply hand them to me when I asked. Unfortunately, the lack of customer service and attention to detail made for a disappointing experience. The Roseburg Square and Pelandale locations have always been much more welcoming and professional. read more

I gave this location another chance after avoiding it for a while, and unfortunately, nothing has changed. I was emailed and told to follow up with the owner, which I did but I never heard back from anyone. I believe it's management's responsibility to proactively address concerns when situations like this occur. This location is hands down the worst Yogurt Mill in the Central Valley. The staff appeared unprofessional...a group of kids laughing and showing poor attitudes. During the drive-thru, I had to repeat my order multiple times because they weren't listening. Unfortunately, not a good experience. Waited in the drive through for 25minutes.... Only 1 car ahead of me & ordered 2 açaí bowls. I intended to order the bowls on special, but apparently ordered the wrong size. I asked to change the size. After waiting so long, as an employee, I'd say I'm so sorry for the wait, i already made these (the medium) here you go.... But no, i had to wait an additional almost 10 minutes for him to remake it. We LOVE Yogurt Mill, but this location is run by incompetent people. They have a special going on that if you buy $100 in gift cards you get an extra $20 gift card. My wife wanted to give gifts to her students and wanted 8 $10 giftcards and wanted two extra to make the $100 limit to get the bonus $20. When she got to the drive thru window she was only handed two cards, one for $100 and the $20 bonus. She then had to go inside to get it straightened out and the manager told her at first that she couldn't do it. Then finally did break the $100 card into 10 $10 cards but then refused to give my wife the $20 bonus because the $100 was not spent on one card. No where does it say you have to buy just one card to get the bonus. Now my wife is late for her gathering. read more

This is always my go to when it comes to ice cream or frozen yogurt or delicious desserts. They have a few stores around the area, but this one is closest to my home. I have a few pictures of the inside, which I normally go through the drive-through but today, my wife and I decided to go in and sit down. There is a few tables that are in the store, but not a lot of seating so usually you'll see people either picking up a yogurt and leaving or using the drive-through mostly at this particular store everything is made right in front of you and you can see just how busy the workers are. Just for reference these yogurts are pretty thick so they're very filling and don't let the cup size fool you. If you're not too hungry, then I would go for a smaller size and that way you aren't wasting or over eating. read more

This is the best place for frozen yogurt in town, in my opinion! I always go through the drive-through, and it's nice that there are two different sides, especially when it gets busy in the warm months. They are a little bit pricey but, the quality is unmatched! I love that they switch their flavors up, so you can always get a different variety. They have lots of different options to pick from, like shakes and other options, but I always get the frozen yogurt cups and mix a couple of different flavors. What's amazing is that they have frozen yogurt for dogs. They are called pup yo''s and there are two different flavors. They're super cute little mini non-dairy frozen dog treats with a little dog biscuit on top. Expensive but it's a great treat for my dogs.! I've always had excellent customer service here. The only bad part about this place is a little bit cold and not that much room. The employees are friendly and helpful. The yogurt itself is good, but on several occasions the toppings have been stale. The shop has very limited seating and you have to walk through drive through to get inside. It was clean, which was good. Received HORRIBLE Service by Carmen (girl with yellow necklace with huge letter "C" on it). I went into this location after not being here for almost a decade. I came to visit a friend who was in town visiting from another country and I wanted to take her to a place that is known in Modesto. I informed Carmen about my friend who had never had YM and if it would be okay if she sampled a few things. I explained how I used to work here when I was younger and loved working all the catering events and worked at multiple stores before the other two were opened. Everything was fine until I spoke a different language to my friend (non-English speaker). Her demeanor changed and she now had an attitude. I didn't think much of it and placed my friend's order first. I'm an adult and not going to give into a teenager's attitude. I started sampling a few items and then asked for recommendations (at this point my friend's yogurt had been sitting on the counter for about 3 mins) and I asked her if she could hand me the yogurt (child's cup w/topping) and was told that I had to pay for it first. I was a bit shocked but said okay I understand, I will pay for it. I was asked if I had the YM app which I didn't but told her I could download it real quick. Her response was, "Per policy, you will have to lose out on today's points and do it next time." I told her I could download it real quick as I still had to place my order. (Nobody was in line as it was close to closing time). She then proceeded to get me my yogurt and still left my friends yogurt behind the counter melting. I got my item with cheesecake bites which were really disgusting and smeared on by a spoon on the side of the cup not even on the yogurt. My friend even made a comment asking what disgusting topping I ordered since it looked really bad. I asked Carmen if she would be able to get me actual cheesecake bites and she rolled her eyes and threw my yogurt really hard into the garbage can, she turned the corner and whispered to the girls over by the drive-thru window and they all peeked over from behind the counter and stared at us giving dirty looks. She then handed me a new yogurt and my friend's now melted yogurt (after I paid). I asked her who the shift lead was and she said "it's private." and would not give her name as it was "private." I walked up to the counter where the toppings are and asked who the shift lead was and a young girl came over and said it was her and that she was unaware of what was going on (even though she was part of the girls that Carmen was talking to in the corner). I explained what happened and asked her what we did wrong and about the policy regarding the yogurt and not handing it over until it's paid. She looked a bit shocked when I said that and said "Sorry, I'll give you a refund, just don't make a big deal about it" I didn't take the refund and walked out. I didn't go to YM for a free yogurt, it was meant to be an experience for a friend who was visiting. My friend and I sat in our car and then realized we both were given the wrong flavors but at least got the right toppings. I went in the next morning and sat in the lobby and watched how other customers with children and their friends or families would order their yogurts and then it would be handed to them. I asked to speak to the manager and I spoke to a nice young lady who was very understanding and apologized for the situation. Not sure if we were racially profiled and/or if Carmen needs better training. My friend said she would not return for melted yogurt or bad service. I also reached out to YM requesting a call back and have not heard anything back. It has now been almost a week. I would not recommend this place. As you see in the reviews, you'll get a yogurt with a side of Attitude and Carmen gave extra attitude on the house. read more
