I found Boba in Alaska!!! I used to live in Las Vegas and I would always make sure to visit Volcano Tea in Chinatown any time I visited there as I just couldn't find good Boba in Alaska. I was out walking as I dropped off my wife's car at the dealership and I just so happened to find this delightful place. Walked and was impressed with the selection. The owner was very polite and friendly. I placed my order for a 32 oz dark milk boba tea and was more than impressed with the price. Such a good deal. When I had my drink in hand, I was wondering how it would compare to all the other Boba places I've ever been to; I was not disappointed!!! The texture, smell, and taste were all outstanding. The food tasted fresh and flavorful. I got the bulgogi burger with green apple house tea. The burger was more of a sandwich, but it was seasoned really well. I enjoyed the green apple tea, although it tasted more like a green apple slush from Sonic. I wanted to try the cake batter froyo, but I was too full from my other food. The lady that helped us at the register was extremely polite and asked if we needed anything multiple times. I like the laid back atmosphere, and they have board games. Unfortunately this visit was not that great. Friendly staff as usual (hence two stars, and a star because my son loved his bacon cheeseburger). Had to drop a couple stars though because of the wait. We came in on a weekday before 5pm and no one else was there which was great because I was looking for something to bring home right away (super hungry spouse- and I don't feel like cooking!). I ordered a bulgogi wrap, bacon cheeseburger and a broccoli cheese baked potato. It took 45 minutes before I got my food. If I hadn't already paid I would've left, got McDonald's, drove home and took a nap (I have a newborn so having enough time to nap while my child naps is important!). About 30 minutes into the wait an employee did come into the store with groceries so I'm wondering if they ran out of part of my order. On top of the 45 min wait I hit rush hour traffic on the way home which was not awesome. If I'd known it would've made me hit rush hour traffic, miss my time to sleep (seriously I've been doing 18 hour days 7 days a week for over a month) I wouldn't have come here. Also the reason we hadn't been back here in 8 months is because I found hairs in my waffle I ordered (the employee said she'd give me a free one the next time I come in... I didn't expect her to remember because it's been so long). But I did want to give this place another shot. And the bathroom was out of soap. We ordered Strawberry Lover, which came in a large container and had real strawberries, boba, and candy gummies over strawberry flavored ice-cream shavings. The shaved ice would be worthwhile if it wasn't as high-priced. If there were smaller serving sizes or lower prices, I would come back for the rest of the flavors. They have brought a variety of new flavors & syrups in, such as passion fruit, strawberry milk tea, black milk tea, green milk tea, also included is my favorite: Rose Milk Tea! As for the Rose Milk Tea, as they don't yet have it listed on the menu. Emily, the owner, also brought in that bubble tea cup sealer machine, so that saves on plastic. Have been going here with my daughter for years, and we usually order and eat there however today we were not able to because of a new rule they enforced saying that we would have to pay $3 extra to eat the food they have made. This one had fresh mangoes and strawberries and i believe it was drizzled with condensed milk. Overall, it was good! Bubble waffle and shaved ice, bobba (bubble tea) ,are popular taiwanese desserts , and I must say this place is one of the VERY FEW here in Anchorage who nailed it. Ive tried tea shops here that are way too pricey plus the authenticity wasn't there at all. YoGo Delight is FAAAAAAAAAAAAAABULOUS!!! Unlike some of the FroYo places in town, YoGo Delight is unapologetically Asian! They have a large compliment of Asian toppings such as lychee, tapioca, popping boba and mochi, which are so tasty! There's less of the more traditional sweet American style toppings, which is fine by me. Unfortunately, they don't have red bean, but I'm holding out hope I can convince them to add it to the topping bar. I was very pleased with the quality of the yogurt and their toppings. read more

I've been going to this place for about a year. They have really good black milk tea with boba and food. The other places in town except for one other place use the powder black milk tea for their black milk tea drinks but this place actually makes there own tea. They brew it, steep it, whatever; it's awesome! There was only one time where it was just way too sweet and one time where I had to wait an hour ( I'm assuming they ran out for I wish the would of said something) other than that, the sweetness of the milk tea is just right. It's not comparable to the black milk tea's at specialty shops in the states like Seattle, California ETC. but really good for Anchorage. Until recently, I'd say about 2 or 3 months ago, they added the larger size which is the 32oz. They've always had the 24oz and It's been so long I don't remember but I think they had a small size below that was maybe a 20oz but i can't really recall since I always got the 24oz. Anyways, when you purchase a speciality drink you get a stamp to fill up your stamp card (i think you need 8 stamps in total) which you can use to redeem a medium size drink and at that time it was for the one that was below the 24oz. I went in today to use 2 of my cards for my parents and the lady (who by the way is REALLY SWEET, she controls the whole front area, makes the drinks, takes the orders, serves the orders, runs the register) said it only works for the 16oz (it honestly looks smaller like a 10oz). The point is, it was way too small. If I got a black milk tea with boba and ice, I could maybe have 2 sips and it was done. NOW! this is where i decided to go ahead and write a review. I gave myself a few hours to cool down because I actually would still recommend this place but the 16oz (IMO a 10oz) was NEVER an option for the past year I've been going to this place. I know for a fact that the free drink previously was larger. I went here so often that I basically stocked up on stamps for free drinks. I'm just a little upset that they changed the free drink size. The size is basically a small drink from the McDonalds happy meal. Not the might kids meal but the small size, a kids size. I won't really be going to this place too often anymore because of that but I will if I get a craving for black milk tea. Thankfully I know how to make black milk tea but the convince was nice and the opportunity to go out and maybe drink a black milk tea and place a game was fun for me! This place is a really nice little korean hangout. I've seen them a lot in California where they are open late for the kids so they can hangout and play games, watch kpop and mingle with their peers. It's has a nice atmosphere, the workers are nice and the good and drinks are great! Anyways, maybe hopefully they will change their option for the free drink size. If I am paying $5+ for a black milk tea 8 times, the size of my free drink option should be a better size for my reward, wouldn't you think? anyways, if you haven't tried it out, give it a go if you are in the mood for Black milk tea and good food! The wait time depends on what you order & traffic which can range anywhere from a couple minutes to 20 minutes. Which in term, it's fair. For the pricing of the food, I think its quality exceeds the price reasoning. Their menu option is quite big that range from Korean/Asian fusion to good ole sandwiches & frozen yogurt. Great food & great price in Anchorage that you can't beat. Here's a tip, the snow fluff is a must try on the menu, and it can serve up to 3. I love this place :) The flavor of the froyo is fantastic, and I do have to agree that the toppings they have are very different then anywhere I have ever been, especially the additions of the lychees. I tried the cake batter and was impressed, lots of flavor. I also had the cookies n cream which was just OK. My friend had the Pistachio flavor and loved it. It seems they are huge on the smoothies and some sort of milk ball concoction, I will have to try at a later time. As of now this is my go to froyo place in Anchorage. I'm not sure where people are getting "they have an assortment of flavored froyo", maybe for Anchorage this is so, but just four froyo machines with just eight flavors is a bit sad from my froyo experience. read more

Their chai tea is powder, not brewed and they don't do samples for their froyo. The environment was clean and friendly though. If you want froyo I'd recommend going somewhere EDIT: When I sampled a flavor WITH MY SPOON the lady at the counter yelled at me for trying a sample. This was in front of other customers and she had a very rude demeanor. I asked her why and her only explanation was no samples. And the chai tea sucked. It tasted like a pre made concentrate powder. We were visiting from the bay area and craving some Asian desserts when we stumbled upon Yogo's Yelp page. There are plenty of choices here from meals to desserts to drinks but we landed on a waffle (to which I added red bean, cheesecake bites, and fruit), coconut boba, and spam musubi. The store is clean and cozy, and I believe there was only one worker so service was a bit slow, but once the food came out we understood why; it was clear that she put a lot of effort into the quality of the food as well as the presentation. I was a bit wary that this place would be a bust. I mean it's a Korean restaurant that serves froyo and boba how good could their food be? Answer is pretty damn good. We ordered dukbokki and kimbap big chewy rice noodles and fish cake in a sweet hot sauce and Korean sushi. Some boba tea and finished it off with a shaved ice (bingsu). Food took a while but it was excellent and fresh. The menu has lots of other fun things on it and I'll definitely try most of them judging by how good it was tonight. I really enjoyed coming to this place. Yogo Delight is located in a small strip mall off of Old Seward Highway and 40th Ave. just outside the University Center Mall. The seating area is spacious yet cozy with a good amount of tables and chairs as well as a sofa set up in one corner by the overhead TV. A friendly lady behind the counter who I believe is one of the owners, gave me a warm greeting. I was looking for a new place to study for a couple of hours and she encouraged me to stay for awhile and even showed me where the available outlets were. The Wi-Fi here has a secure connection with a password and fast service with no issues of loading times. I decided to try one of their Boba Teas and ordered the Mocha flavor in a 24oz. The lady was very fast in preparing the drink and I only had to wait for a few short minutes before it was ready. The drink was delicious and refreshing with a good amount of boba or "tapioca pearls" on the bottom although this always reminded me of candy like gummy bears. Other flavors for their Boba or Milk Teas include Matcha Green, Honeydew, Taro, Rose, Peach, Thai Tea, Strawberry or Mango. They also have a wide variety of items like Snow Fluff (Shaved Ice), Smoothies, Sandwiches, Soups, and Asian dishes. Some items that caught my attention are the Clam Chowder Bread Bowl, Caprese Ciabatta Sandwich, Baked Potatoes (choice of sour cream, cheddar, mozzarella, cottage cheese, bacon, chicken, spinach, mushrooms, broccoli or jalapenos), Smoothies (choice of mango, lychee, red bean, avocado, mixed berry, banana, or pineapple), "Cup-Bop" (choice of General Joe, teriyaki chicken or beef), and several flavors of Shaved Ice (Alaskan Snow, Nutty Taro, Choco Loco, Green Tea Grace, or Coffee in the Dark). This is a great place to stop by and do some work or studying. I was very grateful and pleased when the lady told me to relax and stay as long as I'd like without feeling pressured to leave.
