Finally was in the Huffman area when this spot was open! I've been wanting to try this boba hut since they opened up shop a little over a year ago, but I always seemed to miss their hours. It was definitely worth the wait. I actually posted on twitter about 2 years ago that I wished there was a drive up place for boba because sometimes it was hard to unload my kid when I wanted some. Seems like the twitterverse answered my prayers lol. When I went there was only a few cars in front of me, but the line for this spot can get long considering there's only one window. The barista was friendly & efficient. She helped answer my questions, and my drinks were ready within a reasonable amount of time. The longest part about waiting will just be getting to the window. I ordered the Thai treat (Thai tea with creme brûlée) & added boba, cookie monsta (blended drink with cookies & creme & cheese cream), and the mud man (dark chocolate iced mocha, chocolate drizzle). Each drink was delicious, and reasonably priced. The Thai tea was excellent; some of the best I've had in Anchorage. The boba pearls were fresh and perfectly chewy. I loved the added sweetness of the creme brûlée. The cookie monsta was definitely a dessert drink, and so tasty. The cheese foam being blue was fun. The mocha drink I thought was going to sweeter, but it was still a refreshing sip. Definitely for someone who doesn't want a super dessert like drink. This shop has some super creative drinks, and they have a great variety of milk based or fruit teas. There are generally 2 sizes to choose from, and there's also a good list of add ins/toppings. They also offer cute reusable glassware for sale, and you can buy some of the drink concentrates in bulk. Go check out Happy House Tea next time you're in the mood for boba! This has literally become my first choice and go to bubble/boba tea business in Anchorage. They're a coffee cart that sells Boba tea and other delicious drinks. My favorites are their Joyful Jasmine & Beauty and the Beast. I've also tried their Thai Tea with cremé brûlée topping. I've had all three with boba and it's one of the best tasting boba teas I've ever had. I can't explain why...but all of the ingredients taste very fresh. I've noticed a few boba places in town don't cook their boba all the way through to where it's squishy and chewy. Happy House Tea takes their time with that process. The tea tastes high end and similar to the boba tea places I've tried in NYC. I will forewarn that they keep limited hours, 2pm-6pm about 4-5 days a week. Also, get there early because you'll have at least 1 to 5 cars in front of you. Only once was there zero cars in front of me. Give yourself time to wait in line. It's not a place to go where they make the drink really quickly and then you take off. Be prepared to wait at least 10 to 15 mins to get up to the front of the line. Believe me though: it's 100% worth it. It's also worth the drive out to Huffman Rd on Brandon street. The girls that work here are super friendly and will make your drink however you like it. They also have different types of milk. The vibe of this cart is really inviting and stands out with its pink color. I'd love it if they opened up a store front. read more

Happy House Tea is located across from Southside Grill. It's in a lot on Brandon Street called "The Yard." Currently, Happy House Tea shares the lot with one other coffee cart. Happy House Tea is still operating on soft opening hours, usually 2pm-6pm on select days. See their IG for daily updates. The employees were friendly and helpful when we asked for suggestions. They were clear about how to hold our cups so they didn't spill. They also expl'd our need to swirl our drinks to ensure they are properly mixed. While most of HHT drinks' are milk based, they do offer a few milk alternatives. We ordered their classic, their grizzly drizzle (tasted like cereal milk), and their tarot time. We added boba to each. We quickly fell in love with each yummy flavor and ended up sharing all 3. We can't wait to return to try their cloud teas, and their unique line-up of other fun drink offerings. read more

Busy little hut! Had to see and taste the excitement for myself. Good and creative choices of drinks to choose from.. Not too bad pricing for the amount and quality of their cold beverages either.. impressed. Even my 3 year old approves! This boba hut shares the same lot as a coffee hut, good spot! I'm excited for a new boba location with lots of new flavors (my other go-to is Indigo)! As of writing, they are doing a soft opening with mainly weekend hours posted on their Instagram The good - love the egg pudding and the new flavor combos. I tried the traditional black tea with boba - too sweet for my liking but I think if I asked for half sweet it'll be good. There are other toppings and non-milk tea drinks listed that looks promising. Happy to see they opted for paper boba straws! (I'll bring my own next time...) The not so good (not bad per se, just surprised maybe) - the price is a bit more than Indigo. The default drink doesn't come with boba (pretty standard for lower 48) so that or any topping is extra. So Google took me to Brandon Street, which is residential and you should turn when it tells you because there's no entrance on Old Seward Highway! Sadly, this place is a bit too south for me (live in ER) so would only stop by if on the way. read more

Taro boba was was the best of the two, it was refreshing and delicious the boba was nice and chewy and taro flavor was really good and strong, I would definitely recommend it! Dragons breath was not very good, it was too sweet and the creamy flavor did not mix well with the dragon fruit at all, wont be getting that again! Overall, everything was good. I got the brown sugar milk tea half sweet and it's the perfect amount of sweetness. My husband got the mud man, which tastes similar to a jamocha almond fudge ice cream from Baskin Robbins. The boba taste is good. The consistency is a little on the soft side for my taste. The plastic cups are a little thin and flimsy so be careful when you're grabbing it (I was warned about this by the employee which was nice).
