Heavenly Cup is one of the better coffee huts in town. This particular stand is located near the corner of Lake Otis and 88th Ave. in front of the AJ's Ribs A Go-Go food truck. The drive-thru window is fairly busy, but without a long wait if there are a couple of cars ahead of you. The baristas here are always friendly to me when I pull up and coffee drinks are quickly ready in a couple of minutes, one or two minutes longer for the larger-sized frappes. For my most recent visit, the sun was out and I could feel the temperature climbing into the mid-70's. The Mocha Shake with four shots of espresso was just what was needed especially since the car's thermometer was reading 82 degrees. The shake was awesome. The consistency of the chocolate was smooth and not too thick while the espresso provided a perfect counterbalance for the drink. I easily finished the 24oz. in a few minutes. The menu by the drive-thru window displays a good variety of drinks and food. Protein Shakes are available in chocolate and peanut butter or strawberry and banana. Frappes can be made with Butterfinger, Oreo, Reese's and Chocolate Mint as well as Iced Dirty Chais with a choice of Vanilla, Oregon, or Tiger Spice Teas are some of the notable drinks listed. Food items have the standard muffins, cookies, oatmeal cups, breakfast biscuits, and croissants with turkey or ham, but they also have a Deluxe Croissant Sandwich with both turkey and ham if you can't settle for one or the other. Punch cards are offered to everyone with their order which gives you $3 off on any drink with your tenth cup. After completing the card, you can write your name and number on the back to be entered into a drawing for a $10 pre-paid coffee card. read more

I was following directions to a different espresso stand that led me to Heavenly Cup. The stand looked well-kept, cute, & curated, so I decided to give it a try. They ad a clearly printed menu, some food items, and some seasonal specials, including using eggnog as your creamer. Their prices are low. They also have an 8oz drink menu, which is a feature I look for...8oz is all I need. Unfortunately, my latte was horrible. When I opened the lid, I wasn't too optimistic because the foam didn't look right (it wasn't thick enough). I set that preconception aside and tried it. It was hotter than I prefer, but the big problem was it tasted horrible. I don't know how else to describe it other than that...it tasted horrible. I have sampled coffee and espresso and lattes all over town and other towns and this was the pits. I tried to drink it again and it never got any better. I left it in the car while I went to my next stop. When I came out, I tried it again and it was still nasty, nasty, nasty. read more

Just wasted $20 on some slushies, that I didn't even order. I had asked for 2 redbull smoothies. Mine was supposed to be watermelon flavor, I had gotten a strawberry lemonade flavor lotus. The other one was the right flavor but it was a lotus. Completely different flavors. If I wanted a slushie, I would have went to a gas station. This isn't the first time either. Whenever I want a redbull smoothie from this place, it's always half melted, gotta chug it just to get rid of the syrup. No longer gonna be using this coffee stand. read more

The Barista was very friendly and efficient, to top it all off it was by far one of the best mochas I've ever had in anchorage. Coffee shacks are pretty similar from one to another but this is my least favorite one. I've given it multiple chances because it is close to where I live, but every time I go there I am disappointed. This is what got me through my senior year in high school. Just about every morning I would drive through to get a double shot, 16oz, vanilla latte. Depending on who made it, the latte wasn't half bad. Occasionally I would get what essentially was, just warm sweetened milk but on those days I was to busy heading over to school. The other thing I didn't like was the punch card, like are you kidding me? If I buy 9 lattes I can get $3 off 1 drink? Wow what a rip off. Yesterday I came to this location for my first experience with your coffee shop, after leaving with a burnt coffee which ended up in the trash, and giving the barista with the pink hair a generous tip, I got stuck in the snow on the side of the parking lot farthest from the road. rather than coming to make sure I was okay at the least, the barista with the pink hair not only pointed at me as I was stuck in the snow, but also laughed while POINTING at me. I understand there isn't much a barista can do in a situation like that, but pointing and laughing is absolutely unacceptable. Not only did she laugh when I initially got stuck, but she also proceeded to point and laugh when my coworkers showed up to push me out. I will never buy a thing from one of your coffee shops again. On the bright side the gentleman that plows the parking lot there was not only very helpful in plowing around my car, but he also helped push me out. read more
