I'm a recent transplant to Anchorage and I have been on the search for the best chai tea latte around town. Well, good news, I found it. Chai is so often an after thought at coffee shops but this place doesn't skimp on quality. Not to mention the atmosphere is absolutely gorgeous with a multitude of houseplants to buy and little gifty type items. On nice days they open up a wall to their back patio area. I haven't stopped by the little market they are connected to, but I'm excited to try it! Needless to say I'm going to become a frequent flyer here.

This Dutch Bros Girl Found Her Alaska Coffee!…read more Let me start by saying this girl is a HUGE Dutch Bros fan, and finding out Alaska doesn't have Dutch Bros meant I needed to find a substitute for the week. I took a chance on Kaladi Brothers Coffee and ordered an iced salted caramel mocha. Let me tell you... solid 10/10. It wasn't overly sweet, the flavors were perfectly balanced, and it was exactly what I wanted in an iced coffee. I liked it so much that this definitely wasn't a one-time visit. I ended up stopping at different Kaladi locations throughout our week in Alaska because once I find a good coffee, I'm sticking with it. Safe to say, Kaladi became my Alaska coffee spot, and I'll absolutely be back the next time we visit!

The spice was nice and it was creamy. And then I also got their reindeer sausage egg burrito with beans. I don't like beans but it didn't mess with the flavors. The staff gave me one hot sauce packet, and it really spiced it up to a good level. The reindeer sausage had a good taste to it too, not weird or gamey. Inside looks like it was super chill and nice to hang out.

I am slowly trying all the items Benji's has to offer and I can honestly say I have not had anything that I haven't enjoyed. My favorite thus far has been the pistachio crumbly danish. I highly recommend Benji's Bakery & Cafe to anyone and everyone, definitely worth a visit!

The coffee was delicious, however I would ask for it to be less sweet next time, as the sweetness was a little overwhelming. I would probably also add an extra espresso shot as the 24 oz didn't wake me but the flavor the barista recommended was good! My boyfriend ordered a 20 oz latte which was tasty as well, but a little too sweet for his liking. Also! The menu you see on their website is old- so don't order based on " cup a/b/c/d/dd" sizes; order based on the actual size (in oz).

This cute little coffee shack came in clutch on our recent trip to Anchorage and being just down the street from our hotel made it extra convenient. I had an iced white mocha breve with added English toffee syrup (so yum!), it was nice and smooth, not bitter and the balance between creaminess and sweetness was perfect. I kind of wonder if Alaska's clean, glacial, mountain spring water plays a role in the coffee being so good up here -- I haven't had a bad cup yet -- but I must say, Boom stood out enough to inspire me to leave this review. I also appreciate their large cup being a true large -- it actually seemed bigger than most, which I appreciated. Our barista was helpful and had a very kind demeanor. The fact that this place is open 24/7 is a major bonus in itself. We will definitely make a point to stop by next time we're in town, and you should too. Minus 1 star because they don't have a menu posted anywhere, I had to find a VERY old yelp pic for reference.
