We had friends coming over for brunch and I make a special dish with Caviar, btw I called Natural Pantry, the didn't carry any, Costco occasionally has it but you have to put a request in and hope they bring some in. To my surprise my wife googled and called here! To our surprised Sip Coffee carries 4 kinds of caviar! That's so cool! We got a place to buy caviar in a pinch in Anchorage! Excellent coffee creations and baked goods. They take pride in their drinks and it shows. Friendly staff and tips about the beauty salon behind the cafe. Geez do ya think I need a haircut or something?! I wish they had Cozy seating to lounge around and they need to learn about cleaning windows from the new Holiday Express in midtown. That guy cleaned the windows with some kind of water/chemical. All it requires is a splash of water, brush on the schtuff, and let it air dry. No streaks! This is probably more an issue with the landlord, but something that needs addressed for the entire property. God bless this review. I digress. Space is great! Nice coffeehouse. I got the special cold brew because it's 30 outside so you know it's warming up! Yams brew brown sugar, cinnamon, cold brew, with sweet and cold foam. Yams Brew was delicious. It wasn't just an average sweet potato! - mine was funny in my head. But here dad joke for ya Why did the sweet potato break up with the butter? It found someone butter! Service was great was quick and fast to take our order. Drinks followed quickly. Was happy he was super nice and walked out to us because we had our baby. Great space if you wanted to sit and chat with a friend or hang out and watch the world go by. Service wasn't great, one barista at 9am is not enough. Cocoa puff latte was bitter and the espresso was burnt and not sweet at all. If you really think about it, it sort of is chocolatey but mostly over powered by the burnt coffee. The tables were very crammed into a small space and there was hardly any room at the pick up counter or ordering counter. I was excited to visit from the looks on the website but was sorely disappointed. If you like caviar, overpriced food and mediocre coffee, this is the place for you. read more

I'm kind of surprised this place isn't more busy. We came today (Saturday) at around 2pm and there was one other person who was waiting for someone doing the workout class in the place in the back. They took down their menus that were hanging up. Not sure what food they have now as I didn't see a food list. They had their November specials out: I wanted a lotus since I had coffee at home and it was good. Green apple with cinnamon and vanilla white lotus. Both drinks were about 5-6$ which is average prices. Really nice lounge area too. We dont have too many sit down coffee places in town. I have yet to try one of their coffee flights but I want too. So the ambiance is nice, I like the layout and it seems cozy with an unpretentious attitude, that I liked. The service was a bit slow and took about 15 to 20 minutes for an iced latte. I'm guessing it's because of the dual role that the café has the providing coffee and refreshments for people as a salon that is attached. The latte was good and I enjoyed it. I think if I would've had time, I would wait here longer. read more

I wanted to try Sip because of the monthly coffee flights and I was not disappointed. Each one I've tried has had a fun variety of drinks I haven't seen anywhere else in town. The sandwiches, toast, and cookies are also very good, although the prices were $1-2 higher than what the menu said when I visited. The indoor seating is somewhat limited but there is outdoor seating in the warmer months. Service can be a little slow, especially if you order food and/or a coffee flight, but employees have always been nice. They have a rewards program you can sign up for using your email address or phone number at checkout. You get a free 16 ounce drink after 10 purchases. Nice place to visit for breakfast or lunch if you have time to spare. read more

Needed a quick spot to grab a coffee and a snack. Saw Sip on the way to my next errand for the day and popped in. The shop is cute, with a nice seating area to meet up with a group of friends to catch up or get some work done. I ordered a mocha breve and a blueberry muffin. I was hung over after a wild night of pounding shots of Captain Morgan to the point of finishing the bottle, and decided on Sip. Take the boy out of Miami... but you know the rest. Anyway, Sip -to me- is one of those places in Anchorage that will transport you through its aesthetics. And so it did. Walking in I was greeted by this fairly tall blonde girl, she was the barista. Very personable demeanor to her, and she definitely brought the energy of the place with her, as well as this other young, chipper gentleman whom if I am not mistaken was wearing a cap. I ordered a few double espressos to be made together to take back to the AirBnB, got myself a latte, and decided on going for this clever concept for a coffee shop called "Soup of The Day." As I waited on my coup and sipped my coffee, they were going off about attending a concert together in another (what Alaskans call "the lower 48") state. Could have been Alabama, Arkansas, or Nevada. She had an extra ticket, and all he would have to pay for was for his flight there. Anyway, the point is I was spiraling. Thankfully their conversation brought me some comfort and grounding, and recharged faith back in what was painfully becoming my existence. I sure hope they made it out there together! Needed a break from the hotel and working and found Sip. They offer a variety of coffee, tea, smoothies and wine. Plus they have a variety of food from savory to sweets and snacks. I had one of the quiches of the day, reindeer onion cheddar. The quiche was light and the reindeer was a nice flavor. Smaller establishment with mostly high tables but the have lower community table which was nice for working. There are 2 fabric chairs too. Nice music, not to loud. read more

I really like this place! The ambiance is welcoming and chic. We sat in the patio with our dogs. It does share an entrance with a beauty place so this storefront isn't very big. I like the idea of coffee flights that I saw on IG from the lower 48 and FB sent this place my way (talk about keeping tabs on me) but I'm happy it did! I'm not a real coffee drinker - I like sweet (flavored) milk with a splash of espresso - so trying these were fun but I don't particularly like any of them. Elderflower coldbrew (slightly sweetened), rose breve and lavender latte were May's menu and I'm not a fan of floral except elderflower - I wished it was elderflower breve :D The toast platter on the other hand was on point! It was all good... Too good to share (I did share though). Price points for the flights were not cheap though, while the single serving coffee drinks are cheaper than other coffee places it appears. read more

This cafe is connected to a hair salon, and it seemed like perhaps some people go to both together. My husband and I came to check out the coffee flights. There was one worker at the time, so everything took a while to come out as she was busy making our food and our coffee flights. The coffee flights were okay. They looked super cute, but taste-wise, they weren't the best. My lox toast was good, but it wasn't mind-blowingly good. The star of the show was the pesto caprese sandwich, which was toasted perfectly and was oozing yummy melted mozzarella cheese. Overall, it's not the best place but not the worst. It's not a must-go place in Alaska, but I wouldn't mind having that sandwich again! read more

Went in and ordered a large coffee with room for cream. I'll admit I was probably on cruise control because suddenly I realized I was getting a 4 shot americano. I'm not exactly sure what an americano is, but I knew it's not what I wanted. After some discussion to figure out what, large coffee with room for cream means, I ended up with a drip coffee which seemed to work fine. I also ordered an avocado deluxe toast which was decent. I wish I could show you what it looks like plated, but unfortunately they brought it to me in a to-go box. read more

I came here for coffee before a day cruise, and I was very happy with the coffee and food! The caprese sandwich was really yummy, but the salmon lox was a little on the tougher end. The flights were well made, but I was a little surprised because the "smooth" flight wasn't necessarily smooth. Regardless, I had a pleasant experience here. A newer coffee establishment in Anchorage that is brick and mortar and not another drive-through stand. I struggle with this review as I think Sip has a lot of potential, but still has some kinks to figure out. The coffee is good - I like that you have a choice of Kaladi Bros vs Black cup (the latter is my preference). The biggest selling point - and the main reason you should check them out - is their coffee flights. There are several options plus a rotating special, but you get 3 glasses (? double shot glass size) of different coffees and some sparking water. For example, there is a sweet and spicy which had an espresso (doppio?), mocha and dirty chai. The rotating specials are often fancier and a little more expensive (~$11 instead of $8-9). The regular espresso drinks are just ok - sometimes a bit weak, especially for a 16 oz. The ambiance is nice and welcoming. Numerous tables of different sizes, good for meeting up with people. The overall space is not very large, but big enough. Location is off Tudor within a shopping strip mall. They do have food options, although limited. Some bakery items in the case and several variations of toast (such as a fancier avocado toast) Staff are friendly. COVID precautions in place. I am glad they switched form having from a basket of unwrapped straws to now individually-wrapped straws. I am hoping Sip continues to grow, expand on the flight options, and further improve their regular espresso and drip coffee offerings. read more

Amazing coffee flight selection ! I must say better than Black Cup. I live in Hawaii where I drink really good Kona coffee everyday . The Latte tastes really good - not watered down nor very creamy like in other Cafes. This will be my go-to spot when I visit again. I highly recommend this place. read more

I have only been here once, but it left a very positive first impression. We came here for drinks, and the staff was very friendly and open to answering any questions, which is always appreciated when on an outing with people with dietary restrictions/allergies. Although the seating is pretty minimal, we were able to find a table with relatively no issues. The drinks came out fairly quickly, and every drink was made correctly, something that has been a struggle when out with 4+ people. I had a turmeric latte, and it was very enjoyable, with a subtle flavor and just the right amount of sweetness (It inspired me to try making my own at home, but I think I'll stick with the one from Sip. I would love to go back if I lived here to try a classic cappuccino but we opted for the pretty coffee flights. The staff was super hospitable. We tried coming our second day in ANC but they had to open later that day for some unexpected reason so the owner gave us vouchers for free coffee to use in the future. How kind! Stopped in here for coffee and found it to be a small but quaint (and quiet) little coffeehouse. On Tudor in a strip mall. If you didn't know it was there, you'd definitely miss it. I recommend you update your menu on your website. Was very disappointed when I went in for the "SouthWestern Salad" and got a very sad salad instead. Nothing about it was southwestern. The description online says black beans/ avocado/ cucumber/ onion/ tomato/ green goddess dressing, but all I got was onion/ tomato/ tortilla strips/ ranch. I definitely wouldn't have wasted money or time on it had I known what was ACTUALLY in the salad. I went to Sweet Caribou for their chipotle ranch and added my own ingredients when I got home. I even called them to make sure there should've been black beans in it and they said "we don't put black beans in our salads" that's not when your menu says! read more

I went there for a quick mocha a while back and oh boy. I saw Kelly Tshibika was conversing with some of the workers in a very friendly manner and it seemed she was close friends with either the manager or the owner? I'm unsure of the situation but I will not be spending my time or money supporting a company who is close to and supports this kind of hateful politician.
