I actually came here after seeing a negative review about a mom working with her baby, and it made me want to support this business even more. As a parent myself, I respect and admire moms who show up, work hard, and run a business while raising a family. That's something to applaud, not criticize. My experience was great from start to finish. I ordered the praline iced latte with vanilla sweet cream cold foam, and it was amazing, smooth, flavorful, and perfectly made. I also grabbed a rice crispy treat and banana bread, and both were fresh and delicious. The service was friendly and welcoming, and everything was handled professionally. Nothing about my visit felt unsafe or uncomfortable quite the opposite. It felt like supporting a hardworking small business run by someone who clearly cares about their customers. Small businesses and working parents deserve support from their communities, and I'm glad I stopped by. I'll definitely be coming back for another latte and more treats. read more

I've been a customer of this location off/on since 2008. Yesterday the barista took my loyalty card and tore up and gave me a new one. She stated we don't use this one anymore. Then tore up. Honestly, that should have been discussed w the customer before doing that. This place is super cute and right on our way out of anchorage up north. My brother ordered a mocha and I picked up a low-fat latte. We only waited a minute or two while the beverages were being made before they were in our hands. My brother noted that there was more coffee in these than in others we had tried, and I agreed. You can really taste the coffee rather than the additives. Very good and nicely priced. read more

I did not like the employee/owner working with the no more than 6 month old baby on her chest. I feel it is extremely hazardous to have a baby next to a hot coffee machine working through the morning rush. I noticed the vehicle in front of me got iced drinks and I also did after I saw the baby because I didn't want to order a hot drink with an infant being on the chest of the person making it. I support mothers working but that is not safe nor appropriate for the setting. The child is being exposed to so many random people and pathogens, and baby labor is not legal as far as I remember so it shouldn't be clocked in. The service was notably slower and the bottles stacked to the ceiling of the drink booth also pose danger to the baby if we have an earthquake. The child was also only in a onesie, if there was hot coffee or drinks splashing it would be very easy to fall on it. I will be contacting OSHA or business licensing boards in the city to report it. read more

Coming here for coffee is always convenient especially when it's on the way home from work. You have to hand it to these guys. The location of this coffee shop is in one of the worst areas in town off of 14th and Ingra, right in Fairview, but the gutsy move paid off. The place itself gets a lot of customers commuting to and from work every weekday which makes for a smart, strategic spot for business. The baristas here are friendly and quick to help you. They are also accustomed to working in this part of town which shows with a warning sign posted on their drive-thru window stating all of their baristas are trained and armed to deter anyone foolish enough to rob them at the window. Being that 15th and Ingra is one of the busiest intersections in town, you can only reach them by driving in the far left lane heading northbound on Ingra. After passing the light at this intersection, you would have to slow down to make a sharp left turn into a dirt lot just before 14th Ave. The menu is your standard espresso selections of mochas, lattes, breves, and frappes, but the coffee here is delicious and anything is worth a try. I usually get an Iced Americano with sugar-free caramel, Irish cream, amaretto, or pumpkin pie if it is available during the season. Iced Frappes can also be made sugar-free as a mocha along with the aforementioned flavors and more on a list they can provide for you on request. If I feel like straying from my sugar-free diet (which happens all too often from time to time), they have Peanut Butter Brownies available. This is an item that a lot of other coffee huts don't carry and this is a great complement to go with their Drip coffee or a Cappuccino. There are also promotional deals during the week like any 16 oz. coffee drink, hot or cold, for only $3.00. A sign displayed by the road is visible announcing this special as you're approaching 14th Ave. Despite the surroundings, this is a great coffee shop with awesome employees. read more

I've been coming to Cup on the Run for years! Out of several states and definitely all of Alaska, I have not found a better coffee shop! The employees are fast, friendly, and efficient. Love this place! Fantastic, consistent espresso of all mixes. Always nice, friendly and get it right every time. (I was once a barista and know great coffee) I love that they are JUST selling good coffee and good service and not T&A!! All the girls no matter how lovely, are dressed appropriately. It's not a girl's fault if she's gorgeous and if it's appreciated by others, more power to ya! But I am BEYOND over trashy dress at coffee stands to get more $$ from creepy men, I won't even go to them anymore. This is the first time I've been to this coffee shop and I ordered a Red Bull smoothie, I drink one of these at least every other day, sometimes even everyday. I glanced over at the barista reaching into a cooler and noticed she was holding a 7 up can. I didn't think much of it and just assumed it was for the customer on the other side of the window, after getting my drink I go to suck it down and there was no Red Bull in my Red Bull smoothie. I drink this same drink everyday and I know that the Red Bull was no where to be found. She defiantly used that 7 up in my drink. So maybe no big deal really but these Red Bull smoothies are expensive because of the Red Bull. Ugh plus I asked for a cup of water which she charged me 15 cents for. Ok then. read more

I live less than a block from this awesome coffee shack and go there biweekly or more for good reason. They offer $3 16 oz drinks (no matter how many shots or fancy non dairy milks you order) twice a week, the girls are personable and friendly, they always remember my order and always give my dog a treat and a scratch. Coffee is ALWAYS hot (huge pet peeve of mine regarding other drive thrus) and have a rewards card for regular customers. My default coffee spot. read more
