The coffee was delicious, however I would ask for it to be less sweet next time, as the sweetness was a little overwhelming. I would probably also add an extra espresso shot as the 24 oz didn't wake me but the flavor the barista recommended was good! My boyfriend ordered a 20 oz latte which was tasty as well, but a little too sweet for his liking. Also! The menu you see on their website is old- so don't order based on " cup a/b/c/d/dd" sizes; order based on the actual size (in oz).

I wish they would revert the menu back to the way it used to be. The default drink should not be a special. If I want to have an oolong milk tea with boba, it rings up as a special and they add in the notes that I just want the milk tea, and then they add the charge for boba on top of the price of an already specialty drink price. And the cashier always looks at me confused and has to ask for help to figure out how to put in a milk tea with boba at a boba shop... I like to tip but when I'm getting charged $9.50 for a plain milk tea with boba, having to pay over $10 total for the simplest classic boba order does feel bad. Also, the point system makes no sense, and the points expire. I don't live in Anchorage but I literally try to come here as often as I can. There's no reason for the points to expire considering how much you have to spend to get a credit. It's an easy fix and I would really like it if they changed those couple things. Jasmine milk tea pictured was delicious.

We acknowledged and took our seats. A couple of observations while we waited. There were 4 workers, and only one making sandwiches. All the patrons were waiting on something from the lunch counter. The tables and main counter all needed a good wipe down. The staff needs better time management training to handle the "crowd". (It was not very crowded but there was no sense of urgency on anyone's part to get the people waiting their food.) The staff making sandwiches should have their hair tied back. I watched multiple people leave without being helped and multiple food delivery people waited and eventually left without the food. After 30 minutes, we did receive our 3 sandwiches. Two cold ones and a grilled cheese. The cold sandwiches were just ok for the price. The grilled cheese was not quite grilled and the cheese did not melt. The lesson learned for me is to just buy the ingredients and make sandwiches. For $50+, I should have just done that. This business could be doing so much better with a good manager, better customer service, and tightening up the cleanliness.

It turns out to be a full-service espresso joint with in-house baked goods. Mostly cupcakes and cookies. There are a few brunch or lunch type of menu items but it is fairly limited. The food that was in the cooler looked good, there were also a few hot dishes to be offered. I was visiting with the person behind the counter and I started to pick up real quick that this person had skin in the game and a passion for baking cakes, cupcakes, pies, and she added that she could make any dessert that a person could want. I am well aware that the most important ingredient in any kitchen is passion. It is apparent that they are buying in bulk! She told me that she will be making a lot of pies for Thanksgiving, pretty much any flavor that you could want. Custom cakes are the specialty. When a gawdy, airbrushed, cake with a doll on it from Carrs it's just a little bit too tacky for your occasion, this will be your place! I wound up walking out with three different flavors of cookies. I just wanted to make sure that they were good if I was going to write about the place. They were! My doctor says that I've got no place eating cookies. But hey, if I'm going to break bad, this is where I'm going to do it. The cookies reminded me of mom's kitchen when I was a little boy.
