There were 6 other people in the room. The menu was well laid out and had great options for the meat challenged. We ordered our lunch at 1130. We were served water and then we waited... and waited. At 1230, we debated on leaving when I finally asked the hostess if she knew how much longer it would be, her response was curt and short, "they just started it." We thought it was odd that with so few in the room, the meal was just started nearly an hour after ordering. At 1250 the meal arrived. We had ordered the protein plate, a Thai salad and a turkey sandwich. The protein plate had an unseasoned burger patty that was crispy on the outside and raw on the inside and the steamed vegetables were barely cooked with the carrots still having the peels on them, the Thai plate had zero sauce. The turkey sandwich was exceptional, I opted for no cheese and added avocado. At 115, I went to the counter and the hostess looked very weary and asked what I wanted when the phone rang. She picked it up and immediately hung it back up without answering, then took the receiver off the phone. I said I would like to pay my bill. At this point, the hostess turned to the waiter who had been waiting on us saying, "these are yours." Three meals, only the sandwich was edible, came to $75. Wow. We were hoping that someone was just having a bad day, but seeing other reviews, our experience was similar to others. Will not be going back.

Menu changes have been for the worse. Today when we arrived we waited for 10 minutes before I had to walk up to the front and ask for menus. The menus were very dirty and we felt gross even touching them. Then we waited another 10 minutes for the server. I don't blame the server for being understaffed, but at least some communication that we were not totally forgotten would have been helpful. The soup tasted good, but it was cold, which was disappointing. I got the Thai bowl, and it was mostly all cabbage and carrots with a few random mint leafs. It used to have an assortment of veggies and tempeh that was delicious. Now it only has a small serving of undercooked tofu and very little dressing or quinoa even. My favorite used to be the vegan high protein bowl and the Hungarian mushroom soup. Both have changed so much and are not good anymore. The soup is runny and oily now instead of creamy. The VHP is missing all of the ingredients that made it amazing in the first place and now is more like a basic salad. I am very disappointed as this used to be my favorite place to eat in Anchorage. I just want it to go back to how it used to be.

Most of their options have no added sugars, and the sweetness is derived exclusively from the fruit. They also have protein based smoothies if you're looking for a meal replacement. I ordered the fit girl strawberry green machine protein smoothie, and it was so delicious and filling. When I make protein smoothies at home they never taste this good! I get the fruit based smoothie for my toddler, and he likes the coocoo for fruit one, and it has a great tropical flavor! This is probably one of my favorite place for smoothies in anchorage! I think their smoothie menu is one of a kind. It's perfect that it's drive up so I don't have to unload my child, and service is always friendly & quick! The boba is made fresh daily & they have traditional tapioca pearls as well as fruit based popping boba. They also brew the teas in house. The ownership has changed a couple of times but the coffee menu has stayed the same for the most part. The baristas are always friendly when I pull up and quick while other cars are waiting in line. The business also supports the Wounded Warrior Project which makes this place stand out from the others. I ordered an Iced Americano with sugar-free Amaretto, a refreshing and a great value at $2.50 for a 16oz. They also have some interesting and surprising items in addition to their standard coffee drink and food fare. These include an Apple Pie Latte, an Incredible Hulk Redbull Smoothie with green-colored whipped cream to symbolize St. Patrick's Day, and the Double Whammy.... (a lethal combination of Redbull and Rockstar, if you dare...) This is another good addition for the south side when looking for something quirky off the beaten path.
