Rush is like many coffee stands in Anchorage: - fast service - has fast, hot food options - has some baked options - served by friendly girls - opens early (6am here) What makes this one different is that they offer keto options! What does this mean? It means you can grab a very low carb meal to-go. Stuff that classically is paired with coffee/coffee stands is usually the most carbalicious stuff imaginable: scones, muffins, bagels, doughnuts, biscuits, English muffins (where are NOTHING like regular muffins, WTF!?), and even fruit cups. Although this place has many of those, they also have some different tricks up their sleeves. You can get broccoli topped with eggs, cheese, and bacon, WHAT?! The perfect mix of fat and fiber! Coffee is about 3.5 out of 5 - not the best, but not bad. Breakfast burritos (add the salsa and sour cream!!!) are the bomb. They're also too expensive. The Lensa doesn't exist anymore. As a Norwegian, that's disappointing. But the burritos are cool so try those. read more

I decided to stop by here on a whim before resuming studies for the new school year. Rush Espresso is a small coffee hut located on the corner of Arctic and Northern Lights Blvd. next to a bingo hall. The employees were very friendly and provided fast service on placing my order. I asked if they had any specialty seasonal drinks aside from the standard Americanos, Mochas, and Lattes. The girl at the window said that they have a limited time drink called the Elvis (a white chocolate mocha with banana). I'm always up for something different at any coffee shop so I ordered this in a 16oz. I also wanted to try one of their most popular items on the menu called the Lefse (Norwegian potato flat bread with butter, cinnamon, and sugar). I only had to wait a few minutes for my order to be ready and the girl was nice enough to provide a copy of their menu for me before I left. The Elvis mocha was delicious with a strong taste of actual banana blended in to complement the white chocolate. The Lefse was phenomenal. It was a thin crepe-like wrap filled with butter and sprinkled with lots of cinnamon for a unique afternoon snack. They also make Lefses either plain or as a specialty lunch wrap with your choice of meat or vegetables. I'll definitely have to try a lunch wrap the next time I'm in the area. There is a wide variety of food items on their menu aside from just the usual coffee selections. Some worth checking out are the Green Chili Cheesy Egg Bite Croissant, the Rush Nitro (espresso with grass-fed butter, coconut oil, and cinnamon), their huge 3/4lb. Breakfast Burrito (choice of bacon, ham, sausage, broccoli, or salmon lox with eggs, potatoes, cheese, onions, and bell peppers on a flour tortilla), and a low-carb dish called the Scrambled Egg Boat (eggs, flame roasted peppers, and onions). I love discovering coffee places like this that are a little off the beaten path when it comes to their offerings. read more

With as many coffee stands as there are in Anchorage, it's hard to make one stand out besides painting it a bright color. This stand sticks out not just for its purple exterior, but also for its food, particularly the lefse, a traditional Norwegian flatbread. The lefse is simple but delicious with cinnamon and butter. The espresso drinks are pretty good too. I usually get the 12 oz latte and lefse for $4.75 (used to be $4.00, but like many coffee places, prices have crept up over the years). The lefse is a nice treat and the latte isn't too weak or too bitter. The main issue is getting in and out. The stand is on the corner of Northern Lights and Arctic with very little driving room. It's awkward getting in and out, especially since Northern Lights is one way. But that's minor, and I can deal with it for the latte and lefse. read more

Always awesome, always friendly and always perfect. Kinda pricey tho... 4.50 for a 16 oz latte. They make good breakfast sandwiches and these things called lefse that are DOPE! I really like their smoked salmon and cream cheese bagels too. Make sure you ask for a loyalty card. read more

It is extremely unfortunate that I have to leave this review. I have been to your shop three times and I have had a horrible experience twice. The one interaction that was positive wasn't even with me, your barista was much friendlier and warmer with my husband in that interaction. I don't know her name but she has piercings in her face and is wearing her hair in braids today. Both bad experiences, she did not greet me, she seemed bothered to have to be there and her attitude and demeanor was very cold. When confronted about her behavior she is defensive and immature, rather than self reflective and apologetic. She is a serious liability to you and your establishment as I imagine I am not the first person to be on the receiving end of her unprofessional and indignant behavior. I absolutely will not be spending my money at your shop again, which is unfortunate because now you as an owner, are suffering the consequences of her poor and lackluster customer service. read more

I got an egg boat once, it's not bad. The ham or the reindeer burritos are delicious! The 'reindeer rush' drink is the only drink I've tried from Rush, so far. I like the location because it's right down the road, from the lash extension place. By the time my appointment finishes, I am hungry. read more

Great customer service, but the few times that I've gone, I've been disappointed with my order. I can only remember one time where I actually liked my drink, out of the 5-6 times I've gone. So ever since I started work near by 3 months ago these girls from the start kept acting like they're better than me and because I had to ask them to add more flavor because they aren't making my drink correctly, they continued to treat me like garbage or like I'm some kind of scum because I have to ask them for more flavor. One day I asked for my drink and the girl makes it wrong and when I went back to tell her she made it wrong she told me she didn't make it wrong, like I don't drink it everyday and don't know what my drink tastes like . Now it's been well over a month since that girl made my drink wrong and i don't go there go there she's there, only when she's gone and all of a sudden they can't serve me anymore because she's not comfortable serving me? I don't really drink coffee. I love the drinks here. The varity is awesome. The baristas are super friendly and pretty much always do a great job. Been here so often that they've pretty much memorized my drink! A bit awkward getting in and out- especially during rush hour, but very worth it. Not normally busy when i go there so its pretty quick service, but the wait can be a bit if there are numerous cars. Definitly would recommend. read more

This is a great coffee stand. It is a little awkward getting in and out...but so many of them are. They have put in barriers to help with traffic flow. I have never gotten anything to eat but they sure have a variety of items to try. They have good batistas and good coffee. The espresso seems a little strong though I admit to being wimpy. They put 4 shots in their 20 ounce lattes and I always have to ask them to put less in mine - I get shaky from too much caffeine. So this is less about their coffee and more about my tolerance. This is my favorite drive up coffee place. When I used to go at the same time they always remembered my order but I see different people now. I recommend this place. read more

I ordered two iced coffees and a lefse...13.00 and horrible! The coffee was weak and I asked for whipped cream I didn't get and the lefse I threw in the garbage.
