My go to place for the best boba drinks in town. Clean place, good location, very courteous staff too.

A hidden gem worth the hunt!…read more Be careful with Google Maps. It might lead you into a small alleyway that's easy to miss. Keep your eyes peeled! Also, note that Dim Sum is weekend-only. The menu is concise but high quality. Since everything is made fresh, they do run out of items quickly, so get there early! Highlights for me, - Rice Noodle Rolls: Perfectly chewy and soak up the sauce beautifully. - Shu Mai: Classic, savory pork satisfaction. - Egg Tarts: Delicate and not overly sweet. This is a family-run spot that prioritizes tradition and warmth over flashy decor. It feels like a home-cooked meal.

We also got steamed bbq pork bun, Chinese pork sausage steam bun, Xiu Mai, and the red bean paste steak bun. If I came here again I might try some of the other main dishes you can get on the week day but I would definitely get the red bean paste bun and the pork belly bao buns. The meat portion is really two bites and you get two in an order. We also got egg tart for dessert. They were out of a few things including the seasame balls which we would have tried. It was pretty empty when we came, only one other table occupied. The outside kind of fools you because you just park wherever and they also share the building with other tenants. Overall the food was not disappointing, and especially so because you basically can't find this food anywhere else in town.

The place can hold a lot of people. This was my 2nd time there and this time was no different from the first. I recommend. Some plates can be shared like family style. I didn't get a picture of the clay pot dish, it was good but too salty for me but really good.chicken wings were tasty. Everything was delicious.

As…read morewe were waiting, we noticed multiple people being turned away due to not having a reservation. When we were seated, there were quite a few empty tables. Even as we were leaving there were still empty tables. I figured it would be overcrowded because of the occasion. We were warned that the portions were larger and meant to be served family style and the food would come out as it was ready. The shredded chicken was not really shredded like I was picturing in my head, but small pieces. It wasn't dry at all considering how small it was sliced. The braised pork belly was a fairly large sized chunk. I feel like it was braised with Chinese five spice and star anise among other things. It was very tender. The vegetable chow mein was very flavorful and the noodles were perfectly cooked. The curry chicken xiao long bao was a little too spicy for me. I couldn't taste anything but heat. The braised short rib was served on top of green beans, onions, and carrots and a side or rice in a pot. It was fall off the bone tender. My favorite item was the clay pot rice with Chinese sausage. There was a slight sweetness to it and there were bits of crunchy rice at the bottom that was slightly caramelized with the sauce. About halfway through, we noticed there was a robot server. It kind of sneaks up on you. One of the servers crashed into it when they turned around. It might need a bell when it goes through the dining room. I hope the table the food was meant for didn't wait too long for a replacement. The interior was clean and cozy and there wasn't much noise echoing like many busy restaurants. Our server was lovely and very helpful. We will definitely be back.

Each dish was different and excellent, albeit the ravioli was essentially fancy mozzarella sticks. Not a lot of crab for the price, but it is market price after all-- hit or miss. The food was…read moregenuinely good, no complaints there, but the front of house experience left a lot to be desired. When we arrived there was no one at the host stand for a solid five minutes. Other staff walked right past us without so much as a "someone will be right with you," which set a pretty uncomfortable tone right off the bat. We eventually got seated, but even with the restaurant being pretty empty it still took a while before a server showed up to the table. Our server wasn't rude or anything, but the energy was just completely flat. It felt like he could not care less about being there. Sodas got refilled once the entire night. Between being seated and appetizers, and again between appetizers and our entrees, he was basically nowhere to be found. The thing that really got me was being asked if we wanted boxes while our plates were still full and we were just sitting there having a conversation, never once offering to top off our drinks until we finally asked. It's a shame because the food really was solid and the restaurant itself has a nice warm vibe to it. ORSO clearly has a lot going for it and on a different night with more attentive service it could easily be a 4 or 5 star experience. For now it's hard to rate it higher than a 3 when the service makes what should be a really nice dinner feel like an afterthought.

The business was sold to someone that didn't end up taking care of the quality of the food. Within the last 10 years, the business I heard was sold again and the current owners are really amazing about the quality of their Chinese food. I had their dinner special, I chose Mongolian Beef with Sweet and Sour Chicken (I rarely eat beef and about ready to give that up for a pescatarian diet). Their special was $21.95 for the two dishes of your choice, plus egg drop soup, veggie fried rice, and an egg roll. You get a large portion for what you pay. It's a pretty good deal! The atmosphere is calm and quaint. I like the booths face the windows and you can observe the cars going by. It's almost diner style. If you haven't been here in a while, I would definitely give it a chance.
