I remember way back in the 90s eating at Panda with my parents and grandparents. The quality was pretty awesome back then. The business was sold to someone that didn't end up taking care of the quality of the food. Within the last 10 years, the business I heard was sold again and the current owners are really amazing about the quality of their Chinese food. I had their dinner special, I chose Mongolian Beef with Sweet and Sour Chicken (I rarely eat beef and about ready to give that up for a pescatarian diet). Their special was $21.95 for the two dishes of your choice, plus egg drop soup, veggie fried rice, and an egg roll. You get a large portion for what you pay. It's a pretty good deal! The atmosphere is calm and quaint. I like the booths face the windows and you can observe the cars going by. It's almost diner style. I really love this place, but after ordering the spicy shrimp with Mongolian beef combo, I have serious doubts. Not in flavor but in their budget. I remember when this restaurant was very good. I ordered kung Pao Chicken and Hot and Sour soup. The soup tasted more like egg drop although, it was spicy. I would say out of all the chinese restaurants in town, this one is my favorite. The food is consistently good and comes out really fast after you order it. This seems like a family owned restaurant, their is a small staff and you usually always get the same lady waitress when you go in. We're two years and change into this, it's time to open the doors. Otherwise, the food was as good as I remember. It's straight up good Chinese. We made two orders and had our food to go in about 10 minutes. Lemon chicken and honey sesame chicken. Premo. I suppose they make enough off door dash and to go orders they dont have to have dine in anymore. Too bad. The food is good but I won't be back, until they open up their dining room. The point of going out to eat is to go out to eat, not find that two years post pandemic they are refusing to open their restaurant for dine in. That's my only complaint here. This is a great mid price point restaurant in the Midtown area. The lunch menu is delicious and fairly priced for the quality of food and is normally the time of day when we eat here. Just came here for dinner, and quality of our dining experience was even better. We ordered the fried wonton appetizers and they were perfectly cooked and not over fried. The vegetables in the wonton soup were crisp and fresh and not soggy like other places. For our entrees we ordered beef broccoli and the short ribs two person meal. Both were very flavorful and cooked perfectly, and came with chicken fried rice. There was way more food than expected and we expected and we had plenty of leftovers as you can see in the picture. If you get a bag from their delivery that's been opened or restapled, refuse it and call them to get your money back or order remade. First time ordering from them, restaurant called us 4 times to confirm our address; its really not that hard, especially for a delivery driver. The driver shows up, we have our food everything is good. We open the boxes and its not our order. Husband calls the restaurant to report it and the driver comes knocking on the door. We pack everything back in the bag and send it with the driver in exchange for our food. Makes me wonder what happened to that other order? Im sure the driver just delivered it to the customer unknowing that it had already been opened and sitting out on my counter. Luckily for "them" we're not dirty people. I wouldn't want food that had been opened at someone else's house, picked at and possibly sampled with dirty fingers...eww Well, the food sucks. We ordered extra egg rolls cuz..fat kid loves egg rolls tbh...the egg rolls were all cabbage with tiny bits of carrot, like leftover miso soup? Not a good egg roll. We got the combination appetizer platter, again not good. The pork was not very pork-ish I don't know how to describe it. Everything tasted burnt, greasy and really bland. I really like the teriyaki chicken. It's smoky char grilled. The restaurant is way over priced and the fried rice was half ass. Panda Express is cheaper and better quality... One time I came with friends for a sit down lunch and the food was better. But our waitress refused to sell us more than one beer each. She said we can't have more than one or we will get cancer. I don't think the flavors and consistencies of the sauces occur naturally in this world so I was a little concerned about what I was ingesting. The sauce for my vegetable dish screamed of MSG. It was a bunch of veggies, which for the most part were fresh, were covered in a clear gelatinous/glutinous liquid with red flecks, but only because I ask for spicy. My friend got the Sesame Chicken and it was overly breaded, but he said tasted good. Both meals were lunch prices of $8.95, and came with a choice of steamed or fried rice, wonton or eggroll, and eggdrop soup. The chicken fried rice I ordered wasn't even fried rice, it was plain with some sort of meat just thrown on top, the pepper steak was gross and tasted like old oil. The steamed white rice wasn't white steamed rice at all. It was yellow and tasted like old oil as well. The sesame and sweet and sour chicken was cold and tasted bad. I wouldn't recommend it. The egg rolls were also chewy and soggy. I called in and the woman just laughed at me and my complaint. And I was told I don't know how Chinese food should taste. The food is good, my friend's really enjoy eating there but the service lately has been sucky. I have two friends I usually go with, one is 6"3 and the other is 5"6, both in their 20's and my shorter friend, the waiter always gives him crap if she didn't eat all his vegetables or he didn't put all rice in the to go container or he didn't eat everything on his plate. On Monday he didn't leave a tip and the waiter paused, looked at him and said "What did I do to you? Nothing, nothing." When he didn't eat all of his veggies she told him "Veggies can make you grow taller." And it sucks being the short one, people point out my size but are okay with it because I'm Asian. He gets crap about his how tall he is by other people, you can't do much about how tall you are. By the way, my friend has a beard and she knows we're in college, so what if my friend doesn't put everything in the to go container or isn't able to eat everything, a waiter shouldn't be the one to tell you what to do.
