I always feel so much better after I get to do a class at YogaSix. They have a great welcoming staff. Anna M. Is my favorite. The cold towel on my forehead after a hot session is also a favorite of mine. They offer a free class online to check them out, they offer a class pack, or monthly setup. The app is easy to use to schedule classes. I just wish they had more evening classes, and a location in Westfield :) sometimes the classes can get a little full. But a full class is better than no class for me :) read more

Listen. YogaSix is not for the faint of heart, y'all. This is not the lay on the mat and stretch kina of yoga. (though, they do offer restore and yin which is exactly that!). This is the work your booty off and lay it all on the mat kind of yoga. I purchased a 3 month unlimited membership and I've so enjoyed my experience with YogaSix Carmel. Conveniently located at 116 and SpringMill, you can always find a spot in their parking lot even when it is constantly busy. The lobby area feels warm and welcoming with many retail options. Mats are available if you forget yours. Cubbys to keep your belongings in are available free of charge. Locks aren't needed as the front desk is always monitored by a staff member. A water cooler with electrolytes is also available free of charge. Just bring your water bottle! The bathrooms are always clean and they offer any item you may need -- a hair tie, deodorant, a body wipe, etc. So thoughtful! The studio space is just magical. EVERY CLASS IS HEATED. I didn't realize that when I got my membership. Personally, it took me a good while to adjust to the heat but after several classes, I was golden. The instructors are wonderful. They remind you that it is your practice, you're in a judgement free zone, and to just be where you are. Do what feels right. Do what your body can. That changes day to day. Just showing up is the work. But speaking of work..there are sculpt classes that incorporate both weights and cardio. OH. WEE. Those are no joke in a heated room. Highly recommend YogaSix-Carmel! I did a sound bath at this location (shoutout to Sarah Gardener!) and it was one of the best I've been to! The staff is so friendly and the space has everything you need. They supply bolsters, blankets and you can rent yoga mats if needed. Pricing is very reasonable. The sound bath was $25 and they also offer many different class types from beginner workshops to more advanced classes. read more

Supposedly, the room is kept at 90 degrees, and I could feel all 90 degrees. I'm not used to practicing hot yoga, and I don't think it will be a daily part of my practice, but it's nice to know that The Yoga Studio offers such a nice space for hot yoga when the mood strikes me. The instructor, Rick, was great. It was my first time visiting, so we chatted outside of the yoga room about what to expect: In his class, he starts with a led Sun Salutation A, then lets you go on your own, then a led Sun Salutation B, then lets you go on your own. The second half of the class is a fully led practice, with lots of variety. The room is small, but apparently they can fit 25 people in it! My class only had 12, so there was plenty of room. The room itself is clean and dark, with a couple of salt lamps around. It's a quiet, contemplative space to practice. There are showers here, too, as well as a room for cycling. The people who work here are very welcoming! Like I said, it was my first time visiting, and I got nothing but love from everyone. The Yoga Studio is a great place to practice yoga, and I'll definitely be back.

Additionally there were several poses called out with different names than what I've encountered with other instructors at several different studios or while doing yoga at home with Apple Fitness. Lastly, we went through a flow once or twice and then the instructor pretty much said keep doing it on your own without any further instructions for a few minutes. I felt bad for the two new students next to me who kept looking over to me to check their form. If you enjoy a hot space and freedom to do whatever flow you'd like, then this place might be good for you, but I was not a fan.

I attended Baptiste Power Yoga (now called Fire & Flow Yoga --…read morethey recently changed their name!) on an auspicious day: International Day of Yoga, which also happens to be summer solstice. On this very special day, they were offering a two-hour class where we would be doing 108 sun salutations. I didn't know if I could do that many sun salutations in a row. I was a little bit anxious because I not only didn't know if I could do 108 sun salutations without injuring myself or fainting, but also, I had never been to Fire & Flow, so I didn't know the studio or anyone there. But yoga people are my people, so I went with it and trusted the universe. When I arrived, I was treated like a regular, and everyone was super friendly. I got a little tour of the studio and got to check out the amenities. It's a small but very clean and functional studio, and they offer coffee and tea complimentary, and juice and other drinks to purchase. There are water stations to fill up your water bottle, restrooms, cubbies and a community kitchen where you can hang out. Because this was a long and special class, there were a few different instructors leading, and each brought a different energy to the group. They played uplifting music during the sun salutations, which helped keep up the momentum. At the end of the class, we were brought cold towels that smelled like lavender to put over our eyes while we meditated, and it was honestly the best thing I've experienced all week. I loved my first class at Fire & Flow, and I want to come back to experience a more "regular" yoga class! This place is so welcoming and warm, and I can't wait to visit again.

Revel's studio is within Primelife Enrichment in Carmel, but the clients are all ages. From my first class (Zumba with Erin) I felt welcomed and accepted. Each instructor has noticed I'm "the new kid" and gone out of their way to introduce themselves and welcome me to class. Revel is full of regulars but everyone has been friendly and many have asked my name and welcomed me to Revel. This is a community that I don't think I'd find at a larger studio or gym. Going to the gym in general has always made me feel uncomfortable, but here I can dance without worrying about how I look. I can just focus on having fun. This place checks off all the things on my list. It's close to where I live, affordable, welcoming and offers a variety of classes (Zumba, Pound, TurboKick, LaBlast). I actually look forward to my workouts and can't wait to continue my fitness journey with Revel!

They have a lifeguard on duty. Fill out the waiver before you go. If you have the money and bring your own food and drinks it could be a nice little outing for the family. If your not a resident of fishers though I'm sure there are more enjoyable options for $7, $10 or $27 per person. Also be prepared to bring cartloads to be able to enjoy or be comfortable.

Hazel Landing Park was reopened on October 20, 2025 with the debut of the new, and quite wonderful, Bur Oak Bridge. The bridge connects directly from the park, though if you're parking on the paved area you'll have a little bit of a walk and a gravel path you'll have to use to access the bridge. The bridge, easily my favorite thing about this park, spans 500 feet across the White River. It's 14-feet wide and is great for pedestrians, bikers, or wheelers like me. It connects Hazel Landing Park to Heritage Park in Fishers. Heritage Park is definitely a more traditional park with a quality restroom and more traditional amenities. Hazel Landing Park was originally developed in 2003. It's a 41-acre park with its only other main feature being an 18-hole disc golf course. It's set against the river - kind of cool. There's also a canoe and kayak launch, picnic tables, a grill, and lots of green space. That said, it also has a bit of an industrial feeling as it's backed by parts of Carmel's utilities and the concrete companies and a gravel pit. If you know Hazel Dell Parkway, you will know what I'm talking about. The other major negative is that the driving path is significantly rough with major potholes. It's definitely not a park you want to pull into quickly. This isn't a bad park by any means. The Bur Oak Bridge is exceptional. While there's an incline to get on the bridge, it's a gradual incline and I had no issues handling it in my wheelchair. I do know this is a park that tends to flood in poor weather (it is next to White River), though it wasn't particularly bad today. I wouldn't recommend this park for wheelchair users, though someone with assistance or someone particularly able to handle gravel could at least enjoy the bridge. With so many other park options in Carmel, this would probably be one I'd mostly pass on other than those days when I want to take in the beautiful White River.

Yoga Six Carmel has truly been a game changer for me. As a new member just a month in, I've already noticed significant improvements in my flexibility and a deeper understanding of the yoga poses--especially knowing when to inhale and exhale. In the past, at other studios, classes often felt repetitive with the same routines, which became predictable and eventually boring. But here, every class offers something new, and I love the variety! Additionally, I've struggled with hormonal imbalances that kept me from getting a full night's rest--tossing and turning until I could finally fall asleep. I was really looking forward to my first class at Yoga 6, but unfortunately, my experience was frustrating. After spending five minutes searching for parking, (which i ended up having to park across the street at a grocery store and walking) I arrived at the door at 12:01, only to find it locked. I had driven 20 minutes to get there, which made the situation even more disappointing. While I understand the importance of punctuality, I would have appreciated a little flexibility or clearer communication about policies for first-time visitors. Absolutely love this studio. I've never done yoga before and this HOT yoga studio made me fall in love with it a year ago. I really enjoy the restore and slow flow classes and they are great for beginners and people who have no idea what they're doing. Brittney's Slow Flow class was just what I needed today: A chance to move slowly and mindfully for an hour. She even incorporated some pranayama breathing at the beginning of the class to help us get grounded and prepare our bodies for intentional movement. The entrance to Shine faces an alleyway, which can be a little confusing to get to. But there are lots of signs directing you where to go. Just look for the signs!

The room itself is clean and dark, with a couple of salt lamps around. It's a quiet, contemplative space to practice. There are showers here, too, as well as a room for cycling. The people who work here are very welcoming! Like I said, it was my first time visiting, and I got nothing but love from everyone. The Yoga Studio is a great place to practice yoga, and I'll definitely be back.

Lots of windows that let in natural light, with blond wooden floors, plants at the head of the room (including a lovely monstera), and all-gray props. It's not necessary that the blocks, straps and bolsters all color-coordinate, but I'm also not mad about it when they do. My yoga class was with Kristen, the owner of the studio. She was wonderful. I love when an instructor focuses on proper alignment, and gives tips for arranging your body, like "shift your pubic bone toward your belly." That's one of the ones I remembered, because she said it when we were in plank, and I felt like it really helped me stack everything properly. The class I took was flowy and gentle, for the most part. But there were a few times where my heart rate went up. Then, of course, there was a long savasana, which is my favorite part, always. One of my favorite yoga instructors, Gretchen, is teaching at Blossom in Westfield! So, if you're looking for an amazing yoga teacher, you should definitely take one of her classes. She has been transformative to my practice, and I look forward to taking one of her classes here in the future. Blossom Yoga + Pilates also offers pilates classes -- both mat pilates and reformer. Reformer classes are a separate fee, but if you purchase a yoga package, you get to take mat pilates, too. That's quite a deal!

The instructor, Beth, made me feel welcome and comfortable and she did a great job leading the class. The class itself (yin + deep relaxation) was so relaxing and exactly what I needed. I'll definitely be back for some other classes! For other first timers: Parking is available on the streets surrounding the studio and you can walk straight back to the studio space when you arrive (the front area is a retail space, not a check-in :)).

I signed up for the free introduction class after having signed…read moreup for a 12 month contract with a different gym, so I'm not able to purchase a membership but I had such an amazing time getting to know the work out, getting to know the people that go there, and I really really enjoyed the work out. It was so hard but I know that it is an effective one. Every workout is a full body workout to make you long and lean. Parking is pretty easy despite the construction going on. You can't beat the location. They also have a great little shop in the front of the store. I will definitely be attending classes here when I can.
