This is a great yoga studio, right in the middle of it all and easy to walk or bike to since it's right off the Cultural Trail at Bottleworks! The slow flow classes are super nice, low-impact sessions that still have you using muscles, working up a sweat, and improving flexibility. Great for folks who work an office job all day. The instructors are all great at what they do. Sometimes they have cool lavender towels for you during shavasana which are incredible!!! The sculpt and flow classes are a more upbeat and a traditional "workout" if that's your vibe. The app makes signing up for classes very easy. I've never had a problem getting into a class, but the weekend classes in January did fill up completely though that has not been the norm in my experience. You're never alone but it's not usually packed. A note that all classes are heated at least a little bit, so prepare for that. In the winter, that's a great plus. The flow water machine is also a great amenity. They have a parking validation policy too. read more

Great atmosphere and place to practice yoga! It is warm in the studio (even if you don't sign up for a "hot" class) -- bring a towel. Also bring your own mat, but they have them to rent. Making reservations online is very easy and they have great options. Everyone is super friendly and the practice is awesome for beginners and advanced. Parking is tricky but if you know the area, you know where the free spots are or, I encourage biking there! read more

I tried YogaSix for the first time after many months of thinking of going. I actually accidentally scheduled a class at the Indy location rather than the Carmel location and I'm so happy I did. I took Sculpt Express with Shea and it was great! There was an awesome selection of music, the class wasn't too full and her instruction was very relaxed. The lights change throughout the class to the different portions of the class. It was a heated class which I didn't realize at first but once I was actually moving, I hardly even noticed it. The class was great and I could see change coming pretty quickly with the mix of both yoga and portions of cardio and strength. The location is so cute right next to the Garage on Mass Ave. It's a perfect spot for both locals and guests staying in Indianapolis. Highly recommend and will be back! read more

I was looking for a place close to my hotel to get some yoga in while in town, and this place did just the trick. They had a cool package where you could get 3 sessions for 26 dollars or something like that. It was my first-time doing yoga in a hot space (it was HOT) which isn't my personal favorite way to do yoga, but the classes were pretty packed so clearly people love it. Super easy to schedule online and in a cool fun location. It didn't say this on the website at the time, but you will need a mat AND a towel-- they will charge you if you need to borrow either and you will definitely need a towel. read more

I was first exposed to this YogaSix studio through a local group called Canal Squad (look them up on insta!). I've had so much fun trying all the different classes and getting to know each instructors styles. I love the atmosphere, the sense of community, the staff, the aesthetic. My only wish is that it was more affordable!!! They do have 1 class per month in which they collaborate with a nonprofit called Canal Squad when classes are more affordable for the community. read more

The Sunday am class was not so packed to where you were on top of each other like some other studios. I loved the studio and the playlist! It was upbeat and a great workout overall. Great, contemporary yoga studio! I took a hot yoga class here last night and loved it. The staff at the front was so helpful and welcoming. They have lots of space for things, and marked spaces on the floor for yoga mats which is so convenient. The class itself was great (shoutout to Brenda!), a perfect combination of a challenge without being too complicated or overwhelming. They also played more contemporary music which was a nice change and had lights that followed your flow. One of the best parts was at the end they give you a scented cool towel, and that just made the experience really great. Awesome studio. read more

The Yoga6 Indy team is incredible! I was staying in Indianapolis for five weeks and joined Y6 my first week there. The entire team was genuinely welcoming - Shea (and her mom!), Brennen, Tori, Amanda - and knew every client not only by name, but details of their lives. They asked me about myself, met my kid and brought so much joy to my time in Indy. The safe, accepting space Shea and her team have cultivated is reflected in the clientele: all ages, all body shapes and sizes, and all yogi abilities. The team uses body-positive language and encourages movement that feels good to you, including several levels of variations on every pose. I loved the range of offerings (Sculpt, slow, hot, restore) so I could mix things up throughout the week and the class times worked well with my 9-5 work day. The studio is beautiful and clean, the equipment is well maintained, and - the best part - there's a filtered water machine with the most delicious, cold water! Let me start by saying that many times before YogaSix, I have tried to get into yoga. I have had many friends recommend yoga while chatting about running injuries or intermittent back issues. Finally, on a day roaming around Bottleworks, I popped into YogaSix and they offered me an intro to get started and try it out. So I went, and I liked it. Then I just kept on coming, until now, I think I would be all out of whack without YogaSix! And, that's after I had no idea that almost all classes there are warm/hot, but I would have never guessed that I would have LIKED that all the classes there are warm/hot. Second, I was thoroughly in the "I'm going to a place where I have nothing in common with these people to do this thing that is going to stretch me" (literally stretch and figuratively too!).... I have encountered a diverse community of friendly, warm and welcoming people at YogaSix...and the feelings that I had nothing in common started to melt away. (Side note: differences still remain...I'm still striving for some of those binds and the elusive Wheel pose...but you gotta start somewhere!) They have mats and mat towels for use if you're trying it out. I had no idea about mat towels before I tried hot yoga, but it's a must! The classes span a variety of restorative, a little cardio and hiit or the balance and strength of hot. (I still haven't tried Power.... ) You can always find nearby parking if you're willing to pay $5 to park in bottleworks lots or on bottleworks streets (Carrolton or 9th), but you can get slightly cheaper street parking on Mass Ave, and for a 1-3 block walk there are some spots with Free parking! Beware if you come for an intro, you might just be here mutliple days per week for the next few months! read more

I will definitely be back. I walked in just a few minutes before a class started and was greeted with many kind faces, and was so impressed as they were greeting everyone by name. I forgot a mat, blocks, literally everything, and they helped me get set up super quickly and easily. They allowed me to do the registration stuff after class so I wasn't rushed. The instructor, Madi (hope I spelled that right my name is literally Maddie), was so welcoming and encouraging and started and ended the class with a beautiful mantra meditation. The instructor, Jessica, was very good, the room clean and I liked the different colored lights throughout, as the practice changed. Had a great class experience at Yoga Six. The facilities are clean and spacious. They have handy lockers/cubbies for your belongings, a water filtration system, and a number of handy accessories like fuzzy socks and yoga mats. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful in getting my friend and I set up for our first class. The instructor was super personable and clearly knowledgeable in the yoga practice. The experience was intimate and enjoyable, although I am not someone that frequently practices yoga this class made me reconsider. Learned about this business during the 317 Mass Ave run. Signed up for 3 free classes - even tho i live on the far southwest side of Indy. Yes it is a long drive -but i can tell you after my first class it was worth it. I was reminded via email and text a few days before class. Parking is easy - even with all the construction...choose surface or the garage. I was greeted by the person behind the desk who showed me around and introduced me to the intstructor - Kim. The lobby and studio were clean, bright and open. I took the Y6 mix class. It is a hybrid class with both yoga and some cardio/conditioning. This studio offers warm and hot classes - this one was warm. Loved the routine and light/music effects. Modifications were given and there was a lot of encouragement from the instructor and the class. Did i mention how much i enjoyed it?! At the end of class they bring around cold washcloths that have a lavender scent. In the side hallway by the bathrooms they have a water refill station with cold water. They also offer snacks for purchase. Come for a class and then depending on the time of day get an acai bowl or lunch or dinner or drinks at the food garage. read more

Local legend Katy Newton is now teaching at this studio. If you took her class at the Irsay YMCA you know what I'm talking about. The music is dope and the flow is always different. I had never done yoga when i started going to her class years ago. I thought yoga was for Carmel moms and hippies, but they way Katy runs the class attracts all kinds of different people and makes them forever students. Now I've been doing yoga 4 years and i feel like a god damned champion. Id be lying if i didn't credit much of my physical and spiritual health to Katy's classes.
