I joined HOTWORX after a friend highly recommended it. It has not been a smooth experience. I wasn't told I had to buy bands or at least it wasn't clear. I was very hesitant to join, but was bored with my workout routine and decided to give it a try. I came in during the day and there was no staff. I had to turn around and leave because I had no bands and they want you to buy them there. I then decided was going to cancel within the first 72 hours as I figured out it wasn't going to be for me. Of course, I couldn't do this since there was no staff. The rooms are super small and it's a real hassle to follow the workout when you're on the ground and the tv is high on the wall. Lastly, if you're a man, it's highly unlikely you will like this much as it's 100% targeted towards women. The videos are cheap for them to just play on a loop and overall not a great experience. I will cancel and be out $300 because of the ridiculous 60 day notice. Don't join. read more

I love this place. Really convenient scheduling and the workouts are pretty challenging. A couple thoughts... the ceilings are quite low. If you're taller than 6ft, you're going to nearly be scraping the ceiling. The overall width and length make certain movements challenging for me and I'm 5' 10". You could potentially be in a cube with 2 other ppl. Finally, this has more to do with the franchise and not the location but I hate how the videos are also filmed in the little cubes. It's hard to tell what they're doing sometimes with only one viewing angle. Anyway, really love this place and the workouts overall. read more

I signed up for a free introductory work out at HotWorx this week and absolutely loved it. Great workouts in a short amount of time which is great for any schedule. Members have 24 hr access. Barre/cycling/yoga/full body work outs in a sauna. The best part: It's not one big sauna. They're small saunas that you book for whatever class you're looking to take. And the class is lead by a digital instructor. Perfect for those who don't like big groups. You have full control over sauna temperature, lighting and sound. I loved my first experience so much, I canceled my gym membership, Peloton digital membership and bought a membership for the Carmel HotWorx location. Also, major shoutout to Liz at HotWorx. After I finally went once, I was hooked. Now this non-exerciser who hates sweating is going nearly every single day, torching calories, getting stronger, and loving sweat! The heat from the saunas is dry and rejuvenating. The classes are easy to follow and customizable to your skill level. There are so many classes to choose from - it's hard to get bored. The staff at Hotworx Carmel are the kindest, most welcoming people - no matter your fitness level. Lauri the owner is as rude as they come. i just read online that she went through members bags and accused them of having Marijuana and called 911 on them. She was extremely rude to me on several occasions. As was the manager, Sheila. You cant relax in there with all the background noise and loud music. long story short, it was a very negative experience for me there. i would dread going in, and try to make it in after hours to avoid the management. Ive been to other Hotworx that are great. this one is not. Spend your money somewhere else! read more

heard of this place through a friend, and decided to give it a try. the first workout is free, so if you try it and don't like it there's no loss to you exactly. soon after my first visit i decided to get a membership . i like that the rooms are small and only allow up to three people. it's mainly diy which i love , as it cuts back customer interaction. however , the small customer interaction they have could be better . i highly recommend taking a visit here. im addicted already . read more

First time to try this studio and it was great. Check in process and orientation was excellent. Natalie walked me through all the points and i felt very comfortable with what I could do and how to get into my workout. The facility is spotless and they have all the processes in place to keep everyone safe. I felt very at ease when I saw the lengths they were taking. Now for the workout. Holy cow. I definitely had a great yoga session. I kept the temperature where i was confident but there was room to go up or down depending in how I during the workout. The lack of mask wearing is shocking and doesn't seem to be enforced. I feel lucky to be vaccinated. If you're nervous about Covid, maybe skip until you're vaccinated. Otherwise I'd give 5 stars. This place is extremely clean though and I absolutely love the workouts. I've been coming for almost 3 months and the convenience is incredible. The individual saunas work so well! After retiring from 4 years of division 1 basketball it was hard fo me to find a workout that matches that intense calorie burning workout environment. Well to say THE LEAST Hot Worx does just that. Not only have I enjoyed every single workout I have attended at Hot Worx Carmel but the owner, Laurie is single handedly one of the nicest people I have ever met. She is accommodating, professional and makes every single second in the studio enjoyable. I promise you won't regret trying this. Decided to try HotWorx out over a year ago. Needed something to help me get and stay motivated. Originally thought I would get bored or burnt out. I didn't. Great workout option in this covid world! The private workout space allows you to get a killer workout without the worries of going to a big gym. They offer a variety of different workouts so you don't plateau. And the infrared sauna creates such a unique and super effective workout.
