I thought for sure I had reviewed this spot before. We come here often, and try to arrive early during the season because we like to sit inside, but the outside seating is great too. The food and service are always on point, and the prices are really good. My favorite is the croissant breakfast sandwich with chorizo and his is the everything bagel sandwich with sausage. During our recent getaway in May to a resort in Indian Wells, California, we decided to check out the local breakfast faire in the surrounding area. Precisely 5.5 miles, a little town known as La Quinta (the fifth in Spanish), is where you will find an amazing little café called you guessed it.... YES PLEASE café & dessert shop ------------------------------------ Here is how it went down: As we walked up... The Pessimist in me was like 'ughh look at the long line. Maybe we should go somewhere else.' But the Optimist in me (my wife), smacked me in the backside of the head and said, "be patient, long lines are a good thing". After waiting in the line then eating our food... The Score was Wife:1, Lance (me): 0 While waiting in line, debating what we wanted to order, I couldn't help but look around scoping out an empty table where my family of 5 going to sit. The Pessimist in me was like, 'we are never gonna find a seat. Look at all the people in front of us, and nobody sitting down seems to be finishing anytime soon.' The Optimist in me said, 'relax, remain calm, a table is bound to open up'... Well as we took our table number and headed outside, would you believe me If I told you a table, with an umbrella, right in the shade directly next to the water misters was open as if it was waiting for our arrival.... This place was PACKED but rightfully so! It was nice to leave our hotel and grab a healthy meal. I really enjoyed the conscious effort for well sourced and nutritional ingredients at YES please. They have gluten free options here and can accommodate to a lot of other dietary restrictions. My favorite part of the meal was how aesthetically pleasing everything was. Not only are you fueling your body but you have something pretty to look at while doing so. Highly recommend the avocado toast with poached egg, my friend got the breakfast burrito and wasn't a fan. I paired my delicious toast with a golden turmeric latte which was also beautiful to look at and fueled me for another long day. Seating is limited so arrive early and be prepared to wait. Prices are higher than the norm compared to the portion sizes but that's to be expected for the area and fresh ingredients. read more

You order at the counter and find a seat and they bring the food., I had the pulled pork bun Mai sandwich. It was delicious, nice side of chips come with it. Also had the fruit Fresca , a sparkling mint infused fruit coolie. Delicious. My wife had the salmon toast with a poached egg. It was loaded with veggies, and drizzled with balsamic vinegar. I was in the area and decided to try someplace new. I went on a Saturday, there was a little bit of a wait, but nothing crazy and it went quickly. I ordered a matcha latte and a breakfast sandwich on a croissant. They were both good, but not something I'd go out of my way to get. I could tell the croissant would be really good on its own or maybe with some jam and butter. The scrambled eggs in the sandwich reminded me of the eggs you get at a hotel breakfast. We stopped in about 20 minutes before closing and had a great experience overall. I had the tuna salad, which was excellent--fresh and flavorful. My husband ordered the Farm Salad with chicken. His only (minor) complaint was that there were a lot of greens, but to be fair, he eats his salads completely dry, so that's more on him than the restaurant. You order at the register, and they bring the food to your table. Self-serve water and utensils are conveniently located by the door. While our food took a little while to come out, it was well worth the wait. We were told that since we arrived close to closing, our meals would be served in to-go containers, though we were welcome to eat in. That was fine, but honestly, not sure it was necessary--there weren't that many dishes to clean, and it made the experience feel a bit more rushed than it needed to. A couple of small critiques: * Staff began cleaning up the dining area and restrooms before closing, which can be a little disruptive when guests are still inside. * I used the restroom just after 2 PM (closing time), and there was a toilet brush left in the bowl. While I appreciate the focus on cleanliness, those final touches are probably better saved until patrons have fully cleared out. This place is so cute and I had a great brunch here the other day! I got the avocado toast with nothing extra added (they had bacon, poached egg etc as options) and it was great! Very fresh, good combination of flavors. I also had the iced Vietnamese coffee which was equally good. The outside patio area was cute with individual tables and a longer family style table. We arrived around 10:40am, and this place was packed on a Saturday morning. We waited about 10-15 minutes to order our food. There's not a lot of seating for customers besides inside, and the outdoor patio. We placed our order to go, and sat on one of the benches across the restaurant. On the inside it felt a little claustrophobic with employees walking around serving food, while customers waited inside to order. The coffee and matcha was delicious, but nothing mouthwatering to our taste buds. The brioche bun sandwich was fluffy and creamy with a touch chipotle mayo. One of the BEST strawberry matchas I've ever had. Now I have a go to spot anytime I stay at La Quinta. The food was also delicious! We got the breakfast burrito, eggs hollandaise, and a biscuit on the side, which I would say is a must if coming to this place. Leaving full and satisfied! YELP Short Answer: YES very good indeed and well worth a visit be it local or tourist. LOCATION: Old Town LQ with limited indoor seating and a lot of outdoor seating. Unlike so many, outdoor seating area is very quiet and relaxing and in the shade in the morning. FACILITY: Very nice but not fancy. Grab a menu, Order at counter, Take your number to your table. They deliver coffee and food to your table. MENU: Great for what it is, simple with nice coffee options. Breakfast sandwiches are great. FOOD PREP: Way better than most and again so much improved, this is a winner. FOOD QUALITY: Excellent looking forward to returning for lunch items. Espresso drinks are much improved. Yes Please is a cute little cafe/brunch place in old town La Quinta. I think the overall vibe is very cutesy and makes a good place for a brunch date, a place to hang out with friends or even go by yourself to enjoy a coffee. They didn't have coffee options on the menu so I wasn't sure what to order. I went with an iced hazelnut latte and it was okay probably a 2.5/5, very syrupy. The food however, was delicious! I ordered a breakfast sandwich on sourdough and subbed the bacon for turkey sausage and my boyfriend got a breakfast burrito. I would recommend both items for anyone else to try! The service was good as well! You order at the counter and then your food and drinks are brought out to you. I got a biscuit with egg, cheese and bacon. It came with ONE paper thin piece of bacon. The eggs were average, could definitely be better. The biscuit was ok. You can't eat it like a sandwich so I used a fork and knife. And since the biscuit falls apart, it was hard to eat. There was some strange sweet condiment on it. Our experience with Yes Please was mixed. The good: Coffee and eggs hollandaise were excellent. They use really good bacon for the eggs hollandaise and the hollandaise sauce was slightly citrusy which I really liked. We enjoyed the huckleberry pastry and the patio was lovely. The bad: We did not enjoy the chilaquiles - it felt like just chips and salsa. I think it needs a meat. Also, for the chicken and waffles, the waffles were great but the chicken tasted like regular lunch chicken tenders rather than a true classic fried chicken. Additionally, the restaurant doesn't seem to be set up to properly handle the volume of customers it receives. An item was missing from our order - when we let the waitstaff know, it turned out the cashier had not added to the order (which is understandable, we had a large group, but I am certain we had ordered it). However, once we had figured that out and paid, it then took an additional 20 minutes past when everyone else was done eating. We saw many other people's food go out during that time and it seemed our order just got put into the lineup instead of being rushed out. The group next to us had a similar issue where some people's food took far too long and others were done eating and ready to go before they received it. Overall, I would return for coffee but likely would not for breakfast. read more
