My Dad had the Moroccan tea that was very flavorful and all you think the tea should be and more. My Dad ordered the pancakes, without bananas, but it was topped with chopped apples, peanut butter, sliced grapes and a drizzle of honey. Who would have thought how good that tasted. My Dad said he will try to duplicate it at home. Protein and flavor all in one. I had the oatmeal with bananas, drizzle of honey and apples I think. It hit the spot. The plus is that all profit goes to the local and global community. They also have some really unique merchandise. This is a family owned local business that has passed from generation. They make you feel like family with quality ingredients and a warm welcome!

I'll be back for more food, hopefully I get to try more menu items.

My burger came piled high with a freshly grilled beef patty topped with two slices of bacon, caramelized onions, tomato, lettuce, a couple of onion rings, horseradish sauce and melted gouda cheese on a brioche bun. I'm not always a fan of brioche buns for a burger as they tend to fall apart, but his held up well to all the overflowing toppings. The onion rings were super-crispy and I also got to try their fries which were a tad undercooked, but tasty overall. Make sure to ask for the "That One" sauce for dipping your sides in...kinda like the bloomin' onion sauce you'd get at Outback. Delish! We had a solid meal here, would definitely return if in the area again.

During a recent visit to Orlando, I found myself on a quest for a dog-friendly restaurant that could also satisfy my culinary cravings. After some research, I discovered Yellow Dog Eats, located at 1236 Hempel Ave, Gotha, FL. The phone number is 407-296-0609. From the moment I stepped in, the inviting and lively atmosphere enveloped me. The vibe was chill, making it an ideal spot for both humans and their furry companions. My pup, Bissy Elliott, was welcomed with open arms, receiving treats and even a piece of bacon from the friendly staff. As I browsed the menu, I initially intended to order the intriguing pulled pork salad. However, after chatting with Matt, the manager with over 11 years of experience, I was convinced to try the ribs instead. He mentioned they were a must-have for first-time visitors, and I was hooked. The ribs, dry-rubbed and smoked in-house, were available in a half rack for $17.99, served with a bag of chips and a side of their homemade Carolina barbecue sauce. I opted to substitute the coleslaw for macaroni salad, a decision I was grateful for as it complemented the meal perfectly. The ribs were tender and smoky, with a wonderful balance of sweetness and tanginess from the barbecue sauce. The macaroni salad was light yet flavorful, enhancing the meal further. To wash it all down, I ordered a half-and-half sweet tea, which struck the right balance between sweet and refreshing. And for dessert, the orange cream cake was a nostalgic delight, moist and fluffy just like the classic treat. The staff's hospitality made the experience even better. They took the time to take Bissy's picture for their social media, showcasing their love for dogs. The option to sit indoors or outdoors, coupled with a clean environment and rocking 80s classics playing in the background, made for a memorable dining experience. Great Food and Local Destination! I have been here several times, and whenever someone comes to visit, this is definitely on the agenda. It is a bit out of the way sometimes, but worth the drive. The lunch rush on the weekends does get a bit crowded fast. However; the wait never goes unrecognized by the staff and the owner can be seen going around greeting people, refilling drinks, and often acting as a carnival barker making sure everyone knows the special and why it is the special. Nice and entertaining while you wait in line to order, overall makes it a more pleasant experience. There is really nothing on the menu to recommend since everything I've had has exceeded my expectations. The best advice I always give is to read the menu; if it seems interesting to you go for it, you'll love it! And if you think it may be interesting but not sure, ask someone around you or one of the people working there. Seating sometimes is an issue during the rush and the line to order can be awkward if it's your first time. But, the people that are eating at Yellow Dog typically don't mind sharing a table and there are plenty of pictures of people's dogs on the wall to look at while you're waiting in line. Pleasant Surprises: 1. The coleslaw that comes in a little shot glass sized cup with almost every sandwich: it is fantastic! It has a crisp citrusy hint that is refreshing on hot days. 2. Yellow dog eats is one of the coolest places I've been able to discover while eating. It's not much of a secret, during out lunch time visit there was a line almost out the door. Everything here is done so well and unique, with the decor, atmosphere, and most importantly the food, miles above so many other places. I visited with my family over Christmas. My mom doesn't go out to eat too much, she has lived Windermere for years and ever visited YDE. But as we were leaving she told Fish, the owner, that she would be back. Good wine and beer line the walls of what is basically a simple sandwich shop that hones its craft with a few basic and succulent flavors. Soups, salad, and wraps round out the entire menu. YDE has some of the best buffalo sauce I've ever had. Perfect amount of tang, flavor and heat. There are so much fresh ingredients used here, and it really makes a difference. The pulled pork is tender and flavorful by itself, which not many places can do well. Bottom line: The crowds are proof of how excellent this place is. It's rare and refreshing to see a restaurant owner so happy and involved with customers. This is the kind of space that the travel of food network wants to discover/exploit. Get here ASAP. read more

Don't let the weird name put you off going to eat here, it's actually a pretty great place to eat and certainly one of the best in Orlando. All the staff were amazing, they were so friendly and had really outstanding and outgoing personalities. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very friendly and casual and the prices of everything were very reasonable. I haven't been to many restaurants like this one, and it's definitely unique with its dog friendly policy which is rare. The food there was incredible too, the worst thing about the restaurant was having to watch all sorts of delicious food being waved right past us as it's taken to other tables. The menu has tons of options which is great because I don't like being limited when it comes to what I'm eating. Oh Yellow Dog Eats, how I Love thee let me count the ways! Really can't go wrong here, what healthy restaurant you know that can also dish out some delicious BBQ as well?! This swanky place is a local favorite of mine in Gotha, Fl after a bike ride or a casual Saturday. I love that they have extended their patio and outside bar area to accommodate the hustle and bustle days they have often. Fresh ingredients including gourmet salads, sandwiches, wraps, vegetarian options, and BBQ is a combination for a fantastic food joint that you'll keep coming back for time and time again. Call in orders are recommended on the weekends if you don't want to be in line. Must try's are the Blue Sued shoes, Pulled pork salad, Ahi poke taco's, Black Lab's Lunch, and the BBQ ribs! I love the fact that there's covered outdoor seating and a bar where your dog is welcome to join you (beware there is a resident kitty!) and entertainment for the outdoor seating. each member of the staff I've spoken to is pleasant and courteous. my only complaint is that there are VERY few options for individuals looking for ADA compliancy. if it's too hot or cold to sit outside, there are only a handful of indoor fables on the first floor. the second floor has plenty of extra seating, but is not accessible to a party with a physical disability. if you're in the area, go try it our, you won't be disappointed in the food!! read more

Here's a review you can use for Yelp: I had such a fantastic experience at Yellow Dog! I tried the Classic Yellow Dog Club and the Yellow Dog Pilsner, and both were absolutely delicious. The sandwich was perfectly made with fresh, flavorful ingredients, and the Pilsner was crisp and refreshing, a perfect pairing! The service was just as great as the food. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made me feel so welcome throughout my visit. The atmosphere really tied everything together! All I can say is Yellow Dog Eats is the bomb. I've tried everything on the menu and it's ALL GOOD. My favorites are the BBQ because they smoke their own meat (pulled pork, ribs, chicken). Their daily specials are always amazing - Pulled Pork Nachos, Mahi Wowi Taco's and the list goes on and on!!!! What's sets Yellow Dog apart is the LOVE they put in the food. This place has character and the staff are some of the nicest people in town!! You'll most likely find Fish, the owner, perusing through the restaurant making sure everyone is happy and yelling out the daily specials to people as they walk in the door. Have mercy. The food here is so good! From the kitschy decor to the awesome staff (and great beer) this place is perfect. Pet friendly and nestled under Spanish Moss covered trees, this is a Southern Dream. I had the Floroda Cracker which is pulled pork on White Bread with pickles, coleslaw and fried onions. The BBQ sauce here is delicious, so grab a little extra for soppin'! As a Southerner now living in the Big Apple, this place was a little piece of home that I discovered on a work related trip to Orlando. You will not be disappointed. Many reviewers mentioned crowds. I had the pulled pork sandwich. Soon after eating it my stomach began to ache and grumble so loud you could hear it over the live music. Not long after that I knew it wouldn't be long before I would be perched on the launch pad performing my impersonation of the space shuttle taking off. The chef(s) create simple dishes (sandqiches, grilled items, bar-b-q, etc.) that use fresh ingredients that enhance the plate. In the quiet town of Gotha is a place that serves some of the best food in Orlando. If you have nothing to do some afternoon, take a small drive over to the Yellow Dog. I have been visiting the dog for over 5 years. The menu has a great selection and if you follow them on facebook, you can find out about some of the great daily specials. Food was tasty but it's just a sandwhich shop that you order at the counter and pick up when ready. Highly over rated to be considered the #1 place to eat in Orlando. The barbque is average and served with plastic forks/knives. Each sammich by itself is near 10$, pulled pork is pretty much the cheapest of all barbecue meats and just can't support that pricing in my mind. Maybe the ribs and pork are worth the visit but the sanwhiches and wraps were pretty crappy right down to the cubed prefab chicken. read more

Such a great little restaurant. It is bbq so nothing too fancy, but wonderful for a leisurely lunch. The sandwiches are named witty names and all have a little twist on a typical bbq sandwich (my son in college loves this place). There is parking out back and across the street and you have to look around to find the seating, but there is plenty there once you look upstairs and out back. Really fun spot not to be missed. Fantastic place for lunch or dinner. The quality of food is outstanding. The entire experience is phenomenal. I love the decor and the atmosphere of the restaurant built in a house. Their sandwiches are amazing. Their sides are great and the dessert, well... pretty damn good too! Definitely worth checking out. The meat was tad bit salty for my taste. I had to drizzle the house sweet bbq sauce to balance the saltiness. It was not the best brisket imo. It had a slight smokey flavor but the bits of pcs of hardened meat threw me off. The house made bbq sauce had a vinegar note in the end but for me it wasn't a sparkle sauce. I can get the same taste with Sweet Baby Rays. Banana Pudding was more a trifle than pudding. The sweet tea with lemonade tasted homemade - too sweet for me though. I should have gotten unsweetened with lemonade instead. I asked for a to go of their house lemonade. For me it tasted like country time with added fresh lemon juice - too sweet not necessarily tangy. It was ok. I have no plans coming back here just on the experience and the food was salty a mediocre for my taste. Mohawk Smokehouse will be my next BBQ spot I will need to try!

Being that Super Rico is located on the ground level of the parking garage my job uses, it is a restaurant I frequent. They are pretty quaint inside with limited seating, but they do have a good amount of outdoor seating with covered umbrellas. So, as long as the summer rain isn't too heavy, it is usually quite nice sitting outside to eat. They will also set up screens outdoors when there are major games, like they did for the World Cup. So, if you're ever looking for a spot to watch sports, they definitely do accommodate.
