First time here and it was a great experience. They helped me from start to finish and even made my sauce for me. It came out amazing! Will absolutely return and and try new flavors. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

We met in Tempe for a family gathering and chose YC's for its convenient location. Parking was easy, and there was no wait when we arrived. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The propped-open doors made for an inviting entrance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] After paying, we headed to the line. An odd moment occurred when the cashier approached us as we were grabbing bowls; he mentioned it was his duty to remind us not to "compact" our food bowls with our sauce bowls due to health department rules. Despite that strange interaction, the rest of the experience was smooth. Our food was cooked quickly, the drink station was full, and the rice bar was well-stocked. They were out of soy sauce bottles, so we had to use packets instead. The staff cleared our plates promptly, and a young boy even came by to offer us fortune cookies. Overall, it was consistent with the Gilbert location, and we'd return if we were in the area again.

Staff was extremely helpful! Smiles all around. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Restaurant staff was continually working to keep everything clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food bar was fresh and full. We drove over an hour to eat here...please consider opening one in Prescott Valley

[[HIGHLIGHT]]We came here for lunch on a Friday afternoon, and it was busy but not overwhelming so.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The host was friendly and helped us promptly. The food is done buffet style. You grab the ingredients (meat, veggies, noodles, and sauce), put them in a bowl, and then bring them to the cooks. They sauté/grill everything up and give it back to you ready to eat. The only potential downside is that if you choose a bad combination then perhaps you won't enjoy your dubious creation. This place is worth checking out though!

Best Mongolian spot in Arizona!! A build your own concept with a bunch of different protein, veggie, and sauce options! Not only is the food amazing but staff is out of this world! Everyone is extremely welcoming and helpful throughout the experience and they also give great recommendations as well! Always a go to spot for me!

YC's was an absolute *staple* for me growing up, so you can probably imagine my glee when I moved closer to this location. First, the good: The service was impeccable. Fast, knowledgeable, and friendly. When I got to the end of the food line and was ready to put together my sauce for my meal, a very efficient gentleman asked me the flavor profile I was going for, and mixed my sauce for me. The food was very bit as good as I remembered. I ended up going with wheat noodles, bean sprouts, zucchini, beef, water chestnuts, and mushrooms (I belatedly realized I'd forgotten carrots) and it was the best. thing. ever. The sauce was perfect too - a little sweet and a bit zippy. It took virtually no time at all to go down the line and add ingredients to my bowl and the thin tissue they provide to pack the bowl with is really helpful. I also love how they cook the food on their giant woks right in front of you. Now, where there's room for improvement: The prices were muuuuuuch higher than I remember. My fella and I paid almost $40 - he got a large and I got a small. Granted, that includes an astronomical amount of food as well as a drink (and free ice cream!) it was still more than expected. The place was also very very loud. Plenty of seating available, but not terribly spread out and boy, does sound travel. All in all, the price being higher than I remember won't stop me from frequenting YC's. You do get what you pay for here, and the food is really really good.

Why did I not know about this spot sooner!?!? This place is a steal! I love a good noodle stir fry and I think I found my spot. For 20 bucks, you can get a large bowl and load it up as much as you want, and I mean load it up! They have chicken and beef meats as well as pork and fish for dinner. They have all the veggies and noodle choice. And then at the end you can crate your own sauce. Since this was our first time, the manager asked if we wanted help with our sauce, we said yes and he made a perfect sauce based on what you like! He was great! They also have rice and soup included with the price of your bowl, as well as frozen yogurt and a drink included. This place is amazing you can definitely get two meals, maybe even three depending at how good you are at stuffing your bowl. It is .50cents for a box but well worth it for the amount of food you can create!

Highly recommend coming here! You get a good bang for your buck! Staff were friendly and helpful! This was our first time here! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They had a great selection of options and you could add whatever you want to your bowl. I did the large bowl and paid 50¢ for a to go box. You can load up your bowl and they cook it for you. The ice cream, soda fountain and rice and soup bar were also included! I took home a full box of leftovers and was able to get 3 meals with my $20 bowl. I highly recommend coming here. I also loved they had a protein noodle option! They were excellent!

The experience was amazing: Good service Piling noodles into a bowl Fairly cheep Clean And getting to watch people using giant chopsticks cook your mountain of a bowl. 5 stars do recomend

Too excited to eat it to take any photos until I was almost done. The small was too much to finish!

In Phoenix for the Billie Elish concert. Decided to stop in for some Mongolian BBQ before heading back to the airport. Delicious, fresh, clean and a wonderful service. The man at the desk (the owner?) explained the set up and helped me make the best stirfry of my life!! Not all you can eat like other Mongolian bbq I've gone to. But I prefer it this way. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There was plenty and the place was spotless and the ingredients were high quality.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I was super underwhelmed with the options plus the restaurant was very dirty..I've had the same style food back east in Ohio and it was much better..this place's meat is frozen which was off putting then their drink machine was out of 4 different soda flavors and the ice cream machine was completely not working..all These things that are "included" were out yet we paid full price still..I wont be back..my wife liked it ok

Ask the Community - YC's Mongolian Grill

    Which sauces are gluten free?

Hello, Sweet & sour, peanut sauce, curry sauce, garlic, ginger, syrup, vinegar, cooking wine, sesame oil, chili oil, gluten-free soy sauce, coconut aminos, and black pepper.

I want to try this place but I have never eaten anything Mongolian. I don't want to look stupid trying to order something and not being able to finish it. Can someone recommend a dish? I want to try the bbq. Pork or beef? It doesn't matter. ty!

Mongonlian BBQ is kind of like you are the chef. All the ingredients are on an island like you would see at a salad bar. You select the items you want and put them into a bowl, add the sauces you want (they do have a recipe guide for sauce mixing)…

Can guests still prepare their own bowls?

As of my last visit yes. Gloves required and provided.

Do you guys accept Apple Pay?

    Yes we do!

    What are the vegan options?

Hello Shana, All veggies and noodles are vegan as well as the rice on the side. We have many sauces…

Do you guys do Fried rice as well?

Hi Yusef, We have brown and white rice available on the side or it can be cooked in with your bowl on the grill!…

Hi! just asking if whats the mission and vision of YC's mongolian grill?

Our mission is to ensure that each guest leaves with the intention of coming back. :)

Staff were extremely nice and informative too as to how it worked and how to make sure you get as much as you can as it is a one way trip. The night I went with my family there was also free ice cream or frozen yogurt which was nice and plenty of drinks to keep getting refills. A bunch of noodles or soup and rice you can get too in case you're not full. It was a good deal and price for what you pay for. The ambiance is also overall fine but can get noisy due to it being busy. The only complaint I have is it is stupid how you can only do one trip for the grill. No matter you go for lunch or dinner, you can only do one trip which is why you need to fill up as much you can in your bowl. Also the sauce recipes could be a bit confusing as well as trying to figure out where to place the stuff to make your sauce for the grill. But it still adds great flavor to your stuff. In the end it's a good place to go just make sure you don't screw up your one trip.

First off, the concept is elite--you build your own bowl like a culinary mastermind. Want noodles? Done. Extra meat? Obviously. Way too many sauces because you got overconfident? No judgment here (we've all been there). Then they take your chaotic masterpiece and toss it on a giant sizzling grill like it's dinner and a live performance. The cooks? Absolute legends. Watching them work that grill is like witnessing a mix between a chef and a DJ--flipping, chopping, spinning your food like it's a hit track. And somehow, no matter how questionable your sauce combinations were, it comes out tasting incredible. Portions are huge, prices are fair, and the vibe is always fun and laid-back. It's the kind of place where you accidentally eat way too much and then immediately start planning your next visit. YC's isn't just food--it's an experience. A delicious, slightly overstuffed, "why did I add that last scoop?" kind of experience. 10/10, would build a ridiculous bowl again.
