One of my favorite Yats locations. Dinning room is large, clean, and comfortable. Yats food is always to die for. And the staff here are the best anywhere.

Ya'll. Just go. Everything is so good. Drunken Chicken is amazing. I got Ettoufee the first time and Chicken Creole this time - half and half both times. THEY ARE ALL STUPID GOOD. Prices are great. Service is great. This location has a cleaner atmosphere than some of their other places. Order extra bread. Just do it. You will not regret it as you use it to shovel this goodness into your face as fast as possible.

I wanted to try some type of ethnic/different food while I was in Carmel/the surrounding area, and I came across Yats. Read some reviews and looked at some pictures, and it sounded and looked delicious and inexpensive yet worthwhile. I went there, explaining how I was an out-of-towner and the two guys that were working told me their suggestions, how authentic the food is, etc...and they even gave me extra bread on the house! Very good hospitality. I ended up ordering the 1/2 and 1/2 plate: The Chili Cheese and crawfish Étouffée and the Drunken Chicken. The restaurant was fairly empty since I went in between lunch and dinner time, but the vibes were chill and anyone seemed welcomed there. I would go back!

1st time here. My son wanted Creole food today and likes this place. I was able to sample before I ordered. I went with the 1/2 & 1/2 plate. I had the Chili Cheese Etoufee w/ Crawfish and Chicken Maque Choux. Very tasty and it was served with 2 Pieces of bread. I will visit again when I am back in Indy.

I went to another location years ago and I'm not sure why it took so long (other than not living here) to return. Quick service and very reasonable prices. And of course, the food is delicious. Even the bread makes me want to go back, let alone the rest of the menu. I had the drunken chicken, which I thought about saving some for later. Nope - could not stop myself. I guess I'll just have to return instead

Half and half with spinach mushroom étouffée and white chicken chili. Also my custom hot sauce mixture.

Yats has been a favorite of mine for the last 20 years! I introduced my husband to it 5 years ago and there is no turning back. It's satisfying, affordable and feels like an instant vacation down to Louisiana. My best friends always request a trip to Yats when they are back in town. My daughter tried it for the first time yesterday and gave it 2 thumbs up. Highly recommend this magical, delicious restaurant who is consistently getting it right!

This place was delicious! The menu was unique and offered some great options. We tried the crawfish etoufee and the chorizo etoufee. The staff was very friendly. The food came out so quickly. And the food made me want to come back for more. It had a good amount of heat and that's coming from someone who loves spicy food. The garlic bread was amazing too. Everything had wonderful flavor. The portion size was good and the price was as well. We'd love to go back again. We need one of these in Louisville!!!

So d*mn delicious!! I literally did a happy dance while eating the food!! Both guys working were great and answered questions about the menu. The drunken chicken is just--so freaking good! It has so much flavor to it. We also got the red beans w/ polish sausage(wish there was a tad bit more sausage in serving), chili cheese crawfish etouffee, spinach and mushroom etouffee and lotsa bread. Portion sizes are big- had to take ours home. Everything was just packed with flavor-even the bread. Just can't say enough! Def recommend. Hope we are in the area again because I'm going to be craving this place!!

My boyfriend is a huge fan of Yats Drunken Chicken, while I'm a huge fan of the garlic bread. The servings are very generous and comforting! We always order extra garlic bread... because, well, just do it. You won't regret it. Pro tip: You can purchase a side of their cajun butter to put on your own bread at home

That's actually why I feel compelled to say something - during my visit, I saw an adult man berate a young hostess over the wait time. No one deserves to be spoken to that way, especially not a teenager doing their job in a high-pressure environment. Unfortunately, I've seen this kind of behavior more than once at restaurants, and it needs to stop. If you're frustrated, taking it out on staff is not ok. A little patience and basic respect go a long way. As someone who used to work as a hostess, I know how stressful those moments can be, and I really appreciated how gracefully the team at Juniper on Main handled everything. They deserve a lot of credit. Highly recommend this place, not just for the great food, but for the hardworking, kind staff who keep things running. If you are someone that can't control your temper and you take it out on unsuspecting people, you should order in. Your frustration doesn't give you the right to behave so awful.

My husband and I ate here for the first time today and we are SO UPSET! Not at the restaurant, meal…read moreor service but at ourselves for waiting so lonnnnggggg to try this delicious gem! We had the crab cakes and crab & artichoke dip for apps and our lunch entrees were the fried catfish sandwich with fries and the filet with mashed potatoes and collard greens. For bevvies, we tried their rosé and red zeppelin English ale. All of it, every bit and bite, was 10/10. Food breakdown: - Crab cakes: succulent lump crap meat within a lightly battered and flash fried coating. They come on a bed of arugula with a light dressing and dipping sauce for the cakes. Super yummy! - Crab & artichoke dip: ooey gooey deliciousness, perfect balance of cheese sauce too. You don't have to search for the crab or artichokes. And the fried naan chips were sliced long and thin, and could've been called naan fries actually. Perfect companion for the dip. - Fried catfish sammich: the piece of fish was huge and the batter was good. It came on Texas toast with fixins and tartar sauce. Won't lie, the only thing I wanted for was some hot sauce. That's a me problem... just gotta have hot sauce when I eat fried fish but I didn't ask for any while I was there (they may offer it) and still very much enjoyed the sandwich. - Filet: it was great... hubby got it medium and it arrived perfectly cooked. The Demi glaze sauce was so good and so were the sides. Their collard greens are seasoned up! I said does my auntie work here?! This cuisine is so comfortingly southern and didn't disappoint. Shoutout to our friendly and helpful server, Dan... our food and drinks came out quickly and so did our to-go box. His service was truly top notch. We have been living in Carmel for 5 years and this is one of the best restaurants here. If you're on the fence about trying this place, jump off and make a reservation. You won't regret it.

It took some time for us all to order and start getting our drinks. However, the food started coming out pretty quickly. I ordered the Plant Power with cajun seasoning at the medium spice level with a side of boiled eggs. It was so delicious! It came out piping hot and covered in seasoning. The plant power comes with a generous amount of corn, boiled potatoes, and broccoli. The boiled eggs were overcooked, though, and they were too hot to eat for awhile, though. They burned my fingers! I loved the flavor and didn't think it was spicy at all, though. I was worried that the veggie plate would be underwhelming in comparison to the seafood boils that everyone else ordered but I think I actually enjoyed it the most lol Since they knew we were celebrating my boyfriend's birthday, they gave a gift card for $15 off his next visit. They also have a neon lit birthday sign and our server lead us in singing the Birthday song -- if you don't like that kind of attention, don't tell them lol

We are…read morenot big seafood eaters (I am vegetarian but willing to try seafood), and thought this may be a good chance to have crab for the first time! It wasn't busy on a Saturday at lunch time. Staff was friendly and we were sat right away, we were however sat in the wrong section and had to move after getting settled. But no worries, we were understanding! I loved the decor, very fitting for a seafood spot. And when we were sat we received a bucket with all the tools needed to get into the meal: wipes, gloves, bibs, plates, forks, scissors. Our drink menu was well loved, and hard to read. I opted for the flying tiger drink, and the server laughed a little and walked if that's what I wanted. I was a bit confused, but let me tell you it's delicious but STRONG. We started off with Mozerella sticks and Cajun fries. The Mozerella sticks were served with marinara, and were good but nothing special. The fries came with tartar sauce, and were some of the best fries I've had! As for the reason we came, the seafood boil. I got the Plant Power (potato, corn, broccoli) and added boiled eggs. I got it "juicy style" which is all of the seasonings, and chose medium for my spice level. Everything was great, the eggs were over cooked a bit, but good nonetheless. My spouse got the Mr Captain (Snow crab, sausage, shrimp, potato, corn, egg) with the same spice & level. He was not pleased with the shrimp overall, and could have done without it overall. I tried some of the crab, and can confidently say it was the best thing we ordered and I am a huge fan of crab now! The crab wasn't as meat-y as we hoped and overall it was a lot of work to crack open for such a small amount of meat. Since we are new to the seafood scene, I'm not sure if it's normal to have that little of meat in snow crab. Overall, we will be coming again to try more things. The must haves for us would be crab (duh!) and those Cajun fries!

This was me and my family's first time eating at His Place's newest location on the Northwest side…read more After experiencing this particular His Place, I must say that this is the best one and one of my top 5 places to go eat In Indianapolis. From the service to the atmosphere to the amazing food/ drink, 10/10!! 1. Atmosphere- The atmosphere was very modern, new, clean, welcoming, and home-y. I loved it! What I loved most was the stark difference of space between this location and their Eastside location. There was so much more space to be seated, order, and move around. I didn't feel too crowded or removed from the rest of the restaurant. 2. Service- The service was A1! Our waitress, Brandy, was phenomenal. She was timely, inviting, and nice. The other restaurant workers were also very nice and welcoming. 3. FOOD- The food?? Bussin! OMG. They outdid themselves during this last visit! I have been plotting my next visit ever since we left lol! So my son got the chicken wing dinner with fries. I got a the chicken wing and fried catfish combo dinner with green beans and mashed potatoes with gravy. My girlfriend got the fried catfish dinner with sweet potatoes and baked beans. We also got a side of macaroni and cheese and greens for good measure. We all also chose to receive a cornbread muffin with our meals. Yall... I'm not exaggerating I literally loved all of the food. The chicken wings reminded me of the homemade fried ones that I used to love so much when I was younger. My son tore his wings up, and he's a picky eater . So that says a lot. The fries were surprisingly so delish. Perfectly cooked. My FAVORITE side was the sweet potatoes!! I'm not even a big sweet potato girl but they were too good! I can't wait to slide my fork back through those smh ‍. This fish is and will always be a hit with me, and I'll always recommend it. I didn't get a picture, but they make an Uptown (sweet tea/ lemonade mix) that is soooo FIRE ! That is a must have from here forth. Lastly, for dessert we had their sweet potato cheesecake. Also, delicious! His Place easily earned all 5 of their stars.

TL;DR: This place is fantastic. You need to eat here…read more My office has catered from His Place before, so I decided to dine in with another couple. I ordered the smoked meatloaf with creamed corn and stuffing, and I have to say, it outshined the meatloaf I make on my charcoal grill at home. The smoked flavor and taste of the meat was incredible, the stuffing was fantastic, and the creamed corn was perfectly done. Everyone at our table loved their meals. We were so impressed that we've been back three weeks in a row. Honestly, we haven't found a single thing we don't like on the menu. His Place is a must-visit. This will become a Indy staple, if it isn't already.
