Ya'll. Just go. Everything is so good. Drunken Chicken is amazing. I got Ettoufee the first time and Chicken Creole this time - half and half both times. THEY ARE ALL STUPID GOOD. Prices are great. Service is great. This location has a cleaner atmosphere than some of their other places. Order extra bread. Just do it. You will not regret it as you use it to shovel this goodness into your face as fast as possible.

One of my favorite Yats locations. Dinning room is large, clean, and comfortable. Yats food is always to die for. And the staff here are the best anywhere.

I wanted to try some type of ethnic/different food while I was in Carmel/the surrounding area, and I came across Yats. Read some reviews and looked at some pictures, and it sounded and looked delicious and inexpensive yet worthwhile. I went there, explaining how I was an out-of-towner and the two guys that were working told me their suggestions, how authentic the food is, etc...and they even gave me extra bread on the house! Very good hospitality. I ended up ordering the 1/2 and 1/2 plate: The Chili Cheese and crawfish Étouffée and the Drunken Chicken. The restaurant was fairly empty since I went in between lunch and dinner time, but the vibes were chill and anyone seemed welcomed there. I would go back!

1st time here. My son wanted Creole food today and likes this place. I was able to sample before I ordered. I went with the 1/2 & 1/2 plate. I had the Chili Cheese Etoufee w/ Crawfish and Chicken Maque Choux. Very tasty and it was served with 2 Pieces of bread. I will visit again when I am back in Indy.

I went to another location years ago and I'm not sure why it took so long (other than not living here) to return. Quick service and very reasonable prices. And of course, the food is delicious. Even the bread makes me want to go back, let alone the rest of the menu. I had the drunken chicken, which I thought about saving some for later. Nope - could not stop myself. I guess I'll just have to return instead

Half and half with spinach mushroom étouffée and white chicken chili. Also my custom hot sauce mixture.

Yats has been a favorite of mine for the last 20 years! I introduced my husband to it 5 years ago and there is no turning back. It's satisfying, affordable and feels like an instant vacation down to Louisiana. My best friends always request a trip to Yats when they are back in town. My daughter tried it for the first time yesterday and gave it 2 thumbs up. Highly recommend this magical, delicious restaurant who is consistently getting it right!

This place was delicious! The menu was unique and offered some great options. We tried the crawfish etoufee and the chorizo etoufee. The staff was very friendly. The food came out so quickly. And the food made me want to come back for more. It had a good amount of heat and that's coming from someone who loves spicy food. The garlic bread was amazing too. Everything had wonderful flavor. The portion size was good and the price was as well. We'd love to go back again. We need one of these in Louisville!!!

So d*mn delicious!! I literally did a happy dance while eating the food!! Both guys working were great and answered questions about the menu. The drunken chicken is just--so freaking good! It has so much flavor to it. We also got the red beans w/ polish sausage(wish there was a tad bit more sausage in serving), chili cheese crawfish etouffee, spinach and mushroom etouffee and lotsa bread. Portion sizes are big- had to take ours home. Everything was just packed with flavor-even the bread. Just can't say enough! Def recommend. Hope we are in the area again because I'm going to be craving this place!!

My boyfriend is a huge fan of Yats Drunken Chicken, while I'm a huge fan of the garlic bread. The servings are very generous and comforting! We always order extra garlic bread... because, well, just do it. You won't regret it. Pro tip: You can purchase a side of their cajun butter to put on your own bread at home

Our server was attentive and friendly. We ordered the pimento dip and crab cake to start. The dip was not quite as good as we expected based on prior reviews. It was good not great. We enjoyed the crab cakes more which were full of crab. The entrees were the stars though - I had the peach glazed salmon which was cooked perfectly and the glaze was super flavorful. The collard greens were tender and had a tasty smoke flavor. A couple folks had short rib entrees and one had one of the shrimp and grits options. The servings were very hearty especially for the prices. All in our party agreed they would definitely return and happily order the same dish although there are many items on the menu we all want to try. We had seats inside and it was fresh and clean and not too loud despite being busy. Great place!

I've had Juniper on Main saved in my collections for a while and this past weekend (Memorial…read moreDay/Race weekend) we decided to give them a try while attempting to avoid the crowds that were sure to be present in others parts of the city. This place is small...much smaller than I had imagined. In my opinion, there isn't really a good seat in the house, literally, because the restaurant is a converted home in a residential setting. Each and every table is either by the front door, near the kitchen, or restroom-adjacent. It also seemed like they were having some plumbing issues or something, because one area was blocked off making the seating situation even more limited. It was nice out, so we probably should've dined on the patio. Our server never introduced himself by name, so I didn't learn that tidbit of info until we got the bill. We ordered the deviled eggs flight, which he told us that he couldn't tell us about because "it's different every time". He did check for any allergens, which was thoughtful. The deviled eggs themselves were very much a blank canvas and the toppings were the entire show. Server asked if we wanted to play egg roulette or if we wanted him to tell us what they were. We wanted to know, so he pointed to each...extremely close, and I was so distracted by his finger hovering so dangerously close to my food that all I heard was "chimichuri". I have no clue what the others were. Oh, I think one was chili crisp! I also had the crab cake and loved the aioli that it was served with. My husband had the BLT, which comes with an egg on it and is served on Texas Toast. He's not a fan of Texas Toast, but he enjoyed the sandwich. If I were rating this on food alone, it would be 4 stars, but the cramped atmosphere and level of service brings it down to a 3 for me.

It took some time for us all to order and start getting our drinks. However, the food started coming out pretty quickly. I ordered the Plant Power with cajun seasoning at the medium spice level with a side of boiled eggs. It was so delicious! It came out piping hot and covered in seasoning. The plant power comes with a generous amount of corn, boiled potatoes, and broccoli. The boiled eggs were overcooked, though, and they were too hot to eat for awhile, though. They burned my fingers! I loved the flavor and didn't think it was spicy at all, though. I was worried that the veggie plate would be underwhelming in comparison to the seafood boils that everyone else ordered but I think I actually enjoyed it the most lol Since they knew we were celebrating my boyfriend's birthday, they gave a gift card for $15 off his next visit. They also have a neon lit birthday sign and our server lead us in singing the Birthday song -- if you don't like that kind of attention, don't tell them lol

We are…read morenot big seafood eaters (I am vegetarian but willing to try seafood), and thought this may be a good chance to have crab for the first time! It wasn't busy on a Saturday at lunch time. Staff was friendly and we were sat right away, we were however sat in the wrong section and had to move after getting settled. But no worries, we were understanding! I loved the decor, very fitting for a seafood spot. And when we were sat we received a bucket with all the tools needed to get into the meal: wipes, gloves, bibs, plates, forks, scissors. Our drink menu was well loved, and hard to read. I opted for the flying tiger drink, and the server laughed a little and walked if that's what I wanted. I was a bit confused, but let me tell you it's delicious but STRONG. We started off with Mozerella sticks and Cajun fries. The Mozerella sticks were served with marinara, and were good but nothing special. The fries came with tartar sauce, and were some of the best fries I've had! As for the reason we came, the seafood boil. I got the Plant Power (potato, corn, broccoli) and added boiled eggs. I got it "juicy style" which is all of the seasonings, and chose medium for my spice level. Everything was great, the eggs were over cooked a bit, but good nonetheless. My spouse got the Mr Captain (Snow crab, sausage, shrimp, potato, corn, egg) with the same spice & level. He was not pleased with the shrimp overall, and could have done without it overall. I tried some of the crab, and can confidently say it was the best thing we ordered and I am a huge fan of crab now! The crab wasn't as meat-y as we hoped and overall it was a lot of work to crack open for such a small amount of meat. Since we are new to the seafood scene, I'm not sure if it's normal to have that little of meat in snow crab. Overall, we will be coming again to try more things. The must haves for us would be crab (duh!) and those Cajun fries!
