A new restaurant has taken over the space connected to Market District. Hopefully, Slapfish is a well-enough established brand that locals will patronize it and keep it open. From what I saw, that seems to be the case. If you have been to any other Slapfish, then you know what to expect here. Order at the counter. Expect fresh and tasty seafood to be delivered to your table in a timely manner.

I've visited slapfish quite a few times, but this was my first visit to the Carmel spot. It's located inside the market district grocery store, and has plenty of seating available. I decided to start with the lobster tots, which were not anything special. They mostly tasted like a hush puppy, and I did not taste any lobster. For $12 I would not order again and would rather get the lobster dip. For my entree I got the clobster grilled cheese. I really enjoyed it and it had a wonderful toast on it. My friend commented she thought it could have used more cheese. The seasoning on the fries were delicious. The special sauce has some spice to it. The restaurant was clean and the staff was so friendly. I would definitely return and try some different dishes.

This Slapfish location is huge with lots of tables and booths. Ordering at the counter was friendly and quick. The clerk recommended the Power Bowl. The Power Bowl is amazing. The three types of fish were cooked perfectly, hot and flavorful. The Mahi Mahi had a lemon butter flavor. The shrimp are lightly breaded with a spicy garlicky seasoning. The salmon had a spicy seasoning. There is so much going on in this bowl! Avocado, pickled onions, egg, spinach, radishes, pumpkin sto name a few. Every bite was super fresh. I didn't want to eat the whole bowl, but I did. I didn't even need the dressing because there were so many flavors. The Power Bowl is a must try! There are a couple of separate dinning areas, including an outside patio space. The booths are comfortable. Classic rock plays gently over speakers. There is a subtle mix of nautical decor. Yes, I felt like I was at the beach. Oh, they have booze! Beer, wine and a few select cocktails are available. A manager walked around and checked on customers. Nice touch. I'm so glad to have a Slapfish so close to home. I'll be a regular because I want to try everything on their menu! There was plenty of parking at noon on a Friday, but I'm guessing parking is harder to find during the dinner hour. They do a robust carry-out and you can order ahead.

Slapfish is the best seafood restaurant in town. This new location in Carmel is upscale and convenient. I met friends for lunch this week. I ordered the Power Bowl because the bowl comes with three types of fish. The bowl came out quickly and service was friendly. The Power Bowl is topped with perfectly grilled mahi mahi, salmon and shrimp. The fish is on a bed of mixed veggies and rice. Avocado and egg add additional healthy factors to the plate. And I love the pickled onions. The dining room is comfortable and easy to have a conversation with friends.

I want this to be my first review of 2026 because this is one of my family's favorite spots and I'm so happy that they opened a location by their house! It's truly one of the only restaurants that we all agree on and is always a total win. This location is connected to the Market District grocery, so it's super convenient. Order takeout, pick up a few items, and bring it all home or eat inside or in their beautiful covered patio. Slapfish nails the combo of healthy and delicious. Every single menu item is amazing. Every person is always happy with their meal (including kids - they have a great kids menu). what we get. My most-ordered items: - Hawaiian bowl: shrimp, rice, pineapple, and the best herby sauce ever - Citrus salad: also has shrimp and is my runner-up order; the dressing is incredible - Fries: seasoned to perfection My family's favorites: - Power bowl: you get three types of seafood and veggies but again, the sauce makes it delicious - Shrimp burrito: huge, packed perfectly, and again, tied together with an incredible sauce - Lobster roll: no explanation needed The owners are an amazing local family and I love supporting them too. We just visited Indy for a few weeks and got Slapfish three times - LOL.

Slapfish is one of my favorite spots and I was thrilled to see a new location inside Market District! I'm already a frequent visitor of Market District so I see more visits to Slapfish in my future. My first visit I went with a friend and we both enjoyed the devour special. The Clobster grilled cheese is my favorite meal. The sandwich is buttery and crispy with a little bit of spice and the fries are perfectly crisp and seasoned well. I love that I can get draft beer or a glass of wine. I will say, lobster can come with a price and my casual lunch was $40+, but it's worth every penny.

Been a fan of Slapfish ever since my first bite at their other locations, so I was excited to have one closer to home (hint hint--put one on the west side too!). This location absolutely delivered the same tasty, high-quality seafood I've come to expect. Did the menu expand? There's pasta now! I try something new every visit and still haven't made it through everything--so far, every dish has earned my stamp of approval. Kids' meals are available, which is a plus. The chips might be a bit spicy for younger taste buds, so I'm curious if unseasoned ones can be requested next time. They also offer a handful of draft beers, along with wine and cocktails. The staff was cheerful, attentive, and genuinely helpful. Parking is free and easy, and the location next to Market District is super convenient--we even walked over to grab some sweets before heading home. Overall, a great addition and a welcome closer Slapfish option!

This is hands down the best place to get seafood. The food is awesome, love the fish n chips, tasty coleslaw and the BEST customer service! All that at a reasonable price!!!

I am not one to review a place twice buuuut I did try another location and it was amazing again. The location next to Market District in Carmel is the perfect location, phenomenal fast and friendly service and as usual delicious food. If you haven't tried Slapfish you are doing yourself a disservice. Wonderful atmosphere to enjoy great food. ‍ What more can you ask for?

Fresh, amazing food with more space than their carmel location. Sarah (our server) was sooo amazing and kind and welcoming! Nothing negative to say! We got the poke + chips, lobster taquitos and side fries....chef's kiss!

    Happy customers and outstanding food.

This restaurant is a wonderful place. Had a late lunch here and it was as good as any fine dining restaurant. I had the Hawaiian Bowl with shrimp. Shrimp was perfectly cooked. The sauce that came with it could change your world. My wife had tacos and loved them. Service was excellent. Clean. Bathrooms super clean. So many more menu choices that I will try based on how great my first time here was. Located in a huge supermarket but it is independent. Plenty of parking. I will gladly return.

The interior is bright and fun. They're in the strip mall at 86th with the Noral Target, so there was plenty of parking. We each ordered separately, but they nicely put our order on the same overall table ticket so that it was delivered at roughly the same time. I hadn't been here before, and was excited to try it. You order at the front counter then they bring it to our table. The menu can be a little daunting if you aren't sure what you want. I chose a chicken enchilada bowl, but was then told they were out of cheese. Nothing else was jumping out at me, so I just ordered the avocado toast. (see pics) Our food came fairly quickly. I will say, my coworkers' dishes looked good. I was pretty disappointed with my avocado toast. For $9, it was a sinlgle slice of bread, only very lightly toasted. The jammy egg was maybe 1 hard boiled egg, chopped up on top, and it was cold. It did have shredded cheese over it (not sure why that couldn't have been used in my enchilada bowl?) . It also tased like it had a lot of "everything bagel" spices on it, and was overall fairly salty. So it was a little disappoining. And I left hungry. But I wasn't in the mood to order anything else. My coworkers had sweet potato fries (I tried some - really good!), and different bowls that looked good, so I would give them another try sometime, but the avocado toast did not live up to expectations. #ReviewsByRL

We sat at a high top table in the bar. Our server, Bailey (the bartender), was friendly and super attentive. She made recommendations and kept glasses filled. I had the Espresso Martini which came with roasted coffee beans floating on top. My cocktail went down easy. I also had a glass of the Berringer Chardonnay. The pour is generous. We shared a plate of Loaded Tots, which was wonderful. The tots are made from scratch in-house and covered with roasted bits of pork belly, cheese, a sauce and green onions. We LOVED the tots, which came out super hot. We also shared a plate of the Loaded Hummus. The plate is beautiful and colorful. The hummus is fresh made and loaded with bits of tomatoes, cucumbers, onions and is delicious on a balsamic reduction. The hummus is served with a generous portion of fresh in-house made focaccia bread which tasted amazing. The Loaded Hummus is a winner in my book. Bailey our server was fabulous. She worked the entire bar and was an ambassador of the chef and menu. I wish we had time to stay for dinner because the food is outstanding. When we arrived, the place was empty. We weren't even sure that they were open until we saw the kitchen staff behind the line. Upon entering, I saw a kiosk where you can place your order, but a woman emerged from the back to take our orders. Being that we weren't familiar with the menu, I told her that the kiosk might be easier. She insisted that it wasn't, and as I went on, I realized the same. The kiosk states that there is a $1.25 charge for the sauce on the side, but she explained that it comes with one sauce free of charge and additional sauces cost extra. We placed our order with her: A small Italian salad to share, the Fatty B calzone with the spicy marinara sauce and the Hot Mother Clucker calzone with the chipotle garlic ranch. We ordered them with the suggested sauces but also order the regular marinara and the garlic sauces on the side. We were given glasses for water (self-serve from the soda fountain) and also ordered a bottled beer and canned cider. By the time we were done ordering, a line had formed. The store was understaffed, which was explained to us later, so we had to exercise patience. We didn't receive our beverages until after the calzones were delivered. Before that, we received our rather large, small salad. It was more than enough for two people. The woman had explained to us that it comes with 4 cups of lettuce plus the toppings. That information helped us make our decision to share. The space is large and we noticed cornhole boards to be used on the patio. Unfortunately, it was raining when we went, otherwise we would have played. The calzones were good and filling. Neither of us finished ours and had food to enjoy at home later that evening. The Hot Mother Clucker isn't very pizza-esque, but dipping it into marinara sort of brought it back into the fold. The suggested chipotle garlic ranch was a better pairing indeed. The salad bowl/plate is oddly shaped, which caused toppings to being spilling off the sides. When it was brought to our table, the woman tried saving the toppings by wedging them between the order slip and her fingers and dumping them back onto our plate. I stopped her. I wasn't trying to be rude, but I don't want to eat food that a stranger's hands have touched. I explained this to her. She tried to assure us that she washes her hands constantly throughout the day, but she'd just come over from the register without a handwashing break. Just let the toppings fall where they may! Let's keep it hygienic.

This place is small...much smaller than I had imagined. In my opinion, there isn't really a good seat in the house, literally, because the restaurant is a converted home in a residential setting. Each and every table is either by the front door, near the kitchen, or restroom-adjacent. It also seemed like they were having some plumbing issues or something, because one area was blocked off making the seating situation even more limited. It was nice out, so we probably should've dined on the patio. Our server never introduced himself by name, so I didn't learn that tidbit of info until we got the bill. We ordered the deviled eggs flight, which he told us that he couldn't tell us about because "it's different every time". He did check for any allergens, which was thoughtful. The deviled eggs themselves were very much a blank canvas and the toppings were the entire show. Server asked if we wanted to play egg roulette or if we wanted him to tell us what they were. We wanted to know, so he pointed to each...extremely close, and I was so distracted by his finger hovering so dangerously close to my food that all I heard was "chimichuri". I have no clue what the others were. Oh, I think one was chili crisp! I also had the crab cake and loved the aioli that it was served with. My husband had the BLT, which comes with an egg on it and is served on Texas Toast. He's not a fan of Texas Toast, but he enjoyed the sandwich. If I were rating this on food alone, it would be 4 stars, but the cramped atmosphere and level of service brings it down to a 3 for me.

I got to share the grape salad with my husband in the car during a road trip, and he really enjoyed it as well. I was craving something good today, and while I was tempted to place the same order, minus the broccoli salad, I decided to be adventurous and try out some new flavors. After doing some research, I landed on the Jalapeno Holly and Buffalo Barclay. I ordered the Sandwich Meal with two sides. I got the Buffalo Barclay on the croissant with lettuce and bacon. My two sides were a scoop of Jalapeno Holly chicken salad and a cup of Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup. I picked up my order in-store and the dining area is just darling! I never use that word as a descriptor, but it just feels fitting. The store was busy. There were tons of folks coming in and out, picking up to-go orders and several people were seated at the inviting tables and booths in the large, but warm dining area. My meal came with several packs of crackers to accompany my scoop of chicken salad, a pickle (I don't remember receiving one with my previous order), and the individually wrapped cookie. The soup was warm and delicious. It needed a bit of salt and pepper, but it was very creamy and filling. I ate it first. Then, I dove into the Jalapeno Holly with the crackers. Sooo good! At this point, I doubt that I'll find a variety of their chicken salad that I don't like. I'm a fan. The food is delicious and light, but filling. I feel healthy eating it. They were offering a Valentine's Day special of two meals for $14, which is a great deal. I had a scoop of Carole's Salad and a bowl of loaded potato soup. The salad was delicious but the soup could have been a little hotter. The soup tasted made from scratch and was good. My husband had a Carole's on a Croissant with a Broccoli Salad side. The sandwich was huge and tasty. The Broccoli salad was fresh with crispy bacon. He lived his lunch. The dining room is cute and clean with lots of seating. They have outdoor seating as well. The staff is friendly and efficient. The restrooms are clean. Parking is close in the little strip mall. I'll be back.

Mostly because we brought our dog--but hey at least we had the entire outside section to ourselves! The five stars are for the yummy food, consistently delicious ciders and the outstanding service! Zoe was patient and accommodating with my requests for samples of all the new ciders or ones I hadn't yet tried yet: Horchata, Pomegranate Soda, Passionfruit Coconut and Patio Rush. She even brought out a mix of Milk Bones for our fur baby so he could perform his best tricks. In all seriousness, the cider braised chicken I added to the Orchard Salad was so tender, juicy and bursting with flavor. My husband said the hot sauce he asked for in the side MAKES the Fried Chicken sandwich. We both enjoyed the tomato basil soup especially because it has a good amount of gooey cheese and lots of flavors & seasoning. I am always a fan of Ash & Elm Cider and was happy to have the Crisp Peach today for a change! I regret not trying the Imperial Bourbon Cider but I guess I was going for more of a floral, fruity and citrusy palate. Next time, I DO want to sample the Imperial Bourbon Cider with added brown sugar, fermented and aged in West Fork Whiskey oak barrels. It's apparently Boozy, vanilla and with bourbon notes! ABV for 13% and possibly upgrade with a splash of bitters. Sounds intriguing. Update: the table did not seem so wobbly today. Thanks for listening to that feedback!!

Our server was busy, running back-and-forth between the two large groups, but she managed to give us great attention. Every dish we ordered was served hot and fresh. Our cider and drinks were delicious. I recommend some of the mixed drinks. We definitely will return and have.
