While I really love a good calzone, I am not too sure about these. They do have quite a few options and even dessert calzones. I guess I am just used to less ricotta. My calzone was mostly ricotta unfortunately. But otherwise it was quite tasty. I love the variety of sauces you can get here. I ordered extra because I am a saucy chick. Plus I wanted to try more than one kind. However, all my guests were delighted and truly enjoyed their calzones. The staff is also very friendly and there is free parking... all are pluses.

This was a completely unexpected unplanned pleasantly, surprisingly delicious fast food place in the middle of Carmel! Came here randomly on a Saturday afternoon afternoon while exploring Carmel neighborhoods and open houses and got hungry and found this place. Decided to take it and try it on a whim and let me tell you this did not disappoint at all. I will say that we arrived, and there were a handful of patrons and a handful of others taking orders to go. They definitely could clean up the place a little bit more since it was empty. The two people helping the customers in the front were very quick and helpful as well as friendly to guide you and with recommendations on the menu. The food is made as you order so it does take a little while since we did dine in and sat and waited Well, let me tell you the pictures of the calzones do it no justice because as soon as you opened and sliced through it, there is meat everywhere filling everywhere just as the menu stated. This was well worth considering the price point, and this is an entire meal in itself. I would definitely come back here as this was so good!!!!

    Best food ever

Walking into this calzone spot feels less like entering a restaurant and more like stepping into a temple of molten cheese and golden crust. The first bite alone should come with a warning label: "Prepare to rethink everything you thought you knew about comfort food." The dough is baked to absolute perfection--crispy enough to crunch at the edges but pillowy and chewy where it wraps around the filling like a warm hug. The cheese doesn't just melt; it cascades, stretching luxuriously with every pull, a gooey symphony that blends seamlessly with the bold, seasoned sauce. And the fillings? They're not just ingredients--they're a declaration. Whether it's tender bites of pepperoni that pack the perfect punch, fresh veggies that snap with life, or sausage that bursts with savory richness, every calzone is a self-contained masterpiece. What makes this place legendary, though, isn't just the food--it's the way the calzones seem engineered for joy. They arrive hot, aromatic, and impossibly satisfying, each one reminding you why humanity ever decided to put food inside more food in the first place. This isn't just the best calzone you'll ever eat--it might be one of the best things you'll ever eat, period. If comfort had a flavor, if happiness had a crust, it would be here, folded into these calzones.

Me and a couple of coworkers came here, I had always seen this place driving by and honestly didn't know exactly what it was so never stopped. I had no idea is is a place full of calzones. Like who would ever think that based on the name? I LOVE a good calzone! This place is great because they have pretty much every combination you can think of wrapped up into this lovely calzone and if they don't you can create your own which is nice. Typically when you go to place they may have a couple but they have like 15 or more. If you don't like Calzone, they have salad options which one of my coworkers got and it is a HUGE size. They have indoor and outdoor seating, we sat outside and the service was still good out there (sometimes it seems when you go places they forget about those sitting outside). There is plenty of parking all around so no issues there. Solid place. :)

This place is great. They have SO many options, everything is customizable, or you can build your own. The sauces are great too, each calzone has a specific one it's comes it, but again you can customize. Everything is made to order. The magic carpet ride is a mushroom lovers dream. The veggies were fresh and even the dough was good. Typically I don't eat crust on pizza, but the dough was so well seasoned on these calzones that I had to eat the end bits. The cock a doodle noodle: the macaroni overpowers the rest of the ingredients, but the mac and cheese is good so no harm done. The Duke was the best of the ones we tried. All the ingredients paired so well together and the sauce was the best out of them all. Next time I'd get a side of this ranch on its own, it's that good. Service was great as well, they were closing soon but had no problem giving me time to ask questions about the menu. Another customer came in while I was waiting, so even closer to closing, and his online order was sent to the wrong location. Multiple staff were quick to help him figure out what to do next. The space was clean and spacious, I can see this being a busy spot. They also have a bar! The only complaint I have is the knowledge of the menu by the gentleman helping me. This complaint isn't enough for them to lose a star since everything else was great. The menu is fairly big, and i wanted to be respectful of them closing, and asked which calzones are meat-less. He responded that they are all customizable (which is true), and then suggested I get the roasty toasty with no chicken. Although yes, that would be meatless, after another look at the menu I saw 2-3 options that would be vegetarian without any modifications. They even have an option with vegan cheese! Not sure if he was new, or having an off day, and he did give me a meatless suggestion, just not the best suggestion on the menu. I will definitely be coming back to try more things, as well as venture into the sides and desserts. For a last minute option this was quick and affordable. ~$11 a calzone.

Calzone go-to hot spot! My husband and I had been looking for a tasty calzone spot and found it! I called for carry-out and it took about 10-14 minutes. I ordered the Jalapeño cheddar bites with the strawberry chipotle jam. You Must order! Super soft, bite size and the sauce is perfect! I love jalapeños! We ordered the Meet Me in the St Louie and Carmen. We split them in half, so we could both try them. We both agreed we liked the meet me in the St Louie better over the 2. The calzone was so soft and tasty. We look forward to trying the Fatty B next time and new sauces. *They also have a Philly cheesesteak calzone of the month. Thank you for helpful staff in making suggestions for our first time. Definitely recommend for your calzone craving!!!

Price to value, sauce on the side is amazing! My flight got in a little later than I expected so I was struggling to find something opened "late night" in Carmel. Sauce on the Side closes at 9pm and has a smooth online ordering system so that was the obvious choice. For as many times as I've been to Carmel for work, I haven't been able to stop by here but have heard amazing things. I created my own calzone (despite hearing their salads are amazing) and practiced patience. The delivery woman came into the hotel I was staying to ensure a smooth drop off and she was super friendly. I swore I was only going to have one half of the calzone since it's ginormous but what do you know, I joined the clean plate club that night! Next step is convincing my team to come here for lunch next I'm in town so I can get a salad (but let's be real, calzone is totally gonna go down again!)

I'm from St. Louis and I was elated to see that another of our hometown chains is making it to other states! I always get the fold my way or whatever the build-your-own is called. I always get Provel. I am such a St. Louisan. It's too much food for me for one sitting. Good to split with someone or to take home. Such yummy options. Building my own is my favorite way to go!

It's surprisingly good and definitely filling. I got the meat me in St. Louis. Cheese is soft and nicely melted. Sauce is definitely good on the side and good for dipping. Nicely baked. The lady who took my order was very nice. She explained the menu and told me her preference. If I ever craved calzones, this would be the place I would go.

I can't even put into words how much I enjoyed my experience. Some of the best food I've ever eaten. The calzones don't miss, and the smores calzone... WOW... Has a family run feel with very nice staff. So good wow.

Service is top tier here! Ordered online for a curbside pick up and was more than pleased with my experience! It was very easy to order online and curbside pick up was a breeze! I got the Bull's Eyes and it was delicious! It comes with a French Onion sauce which wasn't my favorite. The Pesto Queso and Spicy Red sauces have wonderful flavor and paired well with the steak! The best part was the curbside pick up! Just pulled right up and let them know I was there and a very nice lady brought my order right out! Looking forward to trying a different calzone on our next visit!

This is absolutely the best calzone I've ever tasted! The crust was light, airy, just the right amount of crisp where it needed to be crispy. The shredded mozzarella sprinkled on top, was lightly toasted to perfection! I chose the build your own option. With chicken, mushroom mixture and spinach sauce on the side, "I will take pesto!" The friendly young lady, taking my order, said the pesto was her favorite. I,CY! It is utterly divine! I could eat it by the spoonfuls. I will definitely go back and this time I will take a friend or two with me! SUPER Yummy!

Cherry Ski?! Even the STL sites don't have that.

My favorite is the salad bar. It is always kept full of fresh ingredients and very clean. Today I brought a couple of friends with me for dinner. It was their first time here, and they really enjoyed the salad bar. Besides salad bar we ordered a large margarita pizza. The crust was light and crisp, and the toppings were plentiful. They didn't skimp on the cheese, either. The booths are large, solid, and comfortable. We could easily view several TVs from our booth so that we could watch the NFL playoffs. We had spent a good amount of our high school days at one of the local Noble Roman's, working part time. What a blast from the past! NR used to be your typical delivery-oriented pizza parlor in the olden days. We kneaded, spun, flipped and baked doughs day in and day out. Sure, we had a half dozen tables to wait on, but nothing big. They have now become "craft pizza & pub" shops. They certainly don't look like they used to, however, what hadn't changed was the smell!! As soon as I walked in, memories of 30 years past came right back. I'm not saying it smelled bad or anything. It was just the very specific smell of their pizza--probably the dough, and it certainly took me back. Having grown up by a few years, I definitely appreciated that they had a bar area, which is where I got situated until the three of us rekindled, at which point we moved to a booth. What was sorta strange and a bit disorienting was the fact that we could not order at the table/booth. Once we had moved away from the bar, we were forced to order at the cashier counter. B...but we would have been waited on at the bar? I was confused. Anyway, we had the Sicilian, which I remembered was one of the staples at NRs. We also had an order of the breadsticks with cheese and marinara dipping sauce. To my surprise, all of them tasted JUST LIKE they tasted 30 years ago. Gotta say, it's not everyday I revisit a place after so many years, only to find the taste hadn't changed not even a bit, for better or for worse.. In this case, worked for me. Because this is a Yelp review, I try to be as objective as possible. Nostalgia aside, I can't bring myself to objectively give them 4 stars, based on the quality of both their pizza and hospitality. I would have loved to bump it up to 3.5, but unfortunately that's not an option. Quality of service: 3.5 stars. Quality of food: 3.5 stars. Consistency and nostalgia: 5 stars. (Doesn't count! lol )
