Our first visit. WOW! We had a great experience, we loved the atmosphere in the well-used building that lent itself to the feeling that we were in a quaint Italian restaurant. We were greeted and seated by the friendly hostess who got our drinks and gave us menus. Our server introduced herself and answered a few questions which we had. Then she took our orders. First out was the BEST bruschetta we've ever had. The bread was exactly the right consistency and the tomato mixture was extremely tasty. For my entree, I had the seafood ravioli. It was truly outstanding. My wife had the baked pasta which, according to her, it was seasoned perfectly. She also commented that she seldom gets enthusiastic about any restaurant, but DeLullo's was an exception. We both loved the entire evening. read more

My parents and I went here for dinner last night. We got sat pretty quickly l, just after the couple who was there before us. Our server was great and I really wish I could remember what her name was. (We sat outside on the big patio and I know it started with a J!) I'm gluten free so I built my own pasta and chose GF Penne with Pesto Cream Sauce & Grilled Chicken! It was so delicious and they grate fresh parm on your meal if wanted. It's very cozy and intimate but the super friendly staff makes you feel like home. I have never had a bad meal here. The pastas are fresh and sauces are full of flavor. The pizza is very authentic and salads are fresh and crisp. My favorite appetizer is the antipasto salad; chopped olives and salami in balsamic served w rustic bread. Bruschetta was good - fresh tasting with soft bread. Def the main contender in this experience Cesar salad - standard. Now the main dishes.... Gave off frozen meal vibes and not homemade. The main complaint - none of the main dishes came out hot, despite the plates being on fire coming out (they used hot pads to bring out plates). 1. Lasagna was cold - sent back and came out, on the same plate, the only difference was the plate was piping hot yet lasagna still cold 2. Filet overcooked and cold 3. We enjoyed a lovely birthday dinner at DeLullos last week. It was even warm enough to sit on the front porch (with a heater, but still it's November!). We started with the Bruschetta and a small Caesar. Both were delicious. We then shared a large Grandiosa pizza and a make your own pasta with Alfredo, lots of fresh spinach and mushroom- yum! We love this place for date night or family night with our teens and twenties kids! Great food!

Our visit was fantastic. The portion sizes were great, not so big that you are miserable but yet big enough that I was not hungry after. The prices I felt were very reasonable for the amount of food we got. I got the Pesto Ravioli which was combination of my favorite sauces and was just delicious. My wife got the Seafood Ravioli and absolutely loved it and we both got desserts. I got the cheesecake with strawberries and she got the peanut butter pie. The cheese cake was very smooth and the crust was great. The peanut butter pie was very light as compared to the normal that is very heavy. The service was all you could ask for ie always kept the drinks filled, took away empty plates quickly and was knowledgeable. The patio where we sat was very cute and partially shaded which could be nice on a hot day. All in all we really loved our visit and will definitely be back read more

The ambiance was decent for a small town indiana family owned Italian restaurant. It was relaxed yet formal enough for high school students eating before a homecoming dance. The food was not bad. I will say the bread sticks were not the softest. Think, hard precooked pretzels prior to reheating with moisture to create steam, the only problem there was no water creating the steam. But the marinara dipping sauce was good. The lasagna was interesting. Not bad interesting but more of a curious "I've never had it that way and may prefer not to have it that way again in the future" sort of way. It was like they put sautéed mushrooms and onions between the pasta layers than put a layer of marinara gravy on top of it all. Interesting but for sure wouldn't be accepted by Chef Ramsey. As I was carting my young niece too and fro from the archery range in the area, what a complete shock to discover this darling and delicious little Italian restaurant along our way. Located inside a renovated house that has a front porch with outside seating, what a gem of a spot to discover. Great family friendly service, welcoming of kids and families, expansive menu of choices and good size portions of reasonably priced Italian foods. I went with their fresh fish option and sangria offering, my niece had spaghetti with meatballs. Both large, hot, scrumptious and served with a smile. It was busy the night we were in, but the restaurant team clearly hustles and works together. Dashed in DeLullo's last night when torrential rains got us off the boat. Fantastic salad with mixed fresh greens, plentiful blue cheese crumbles, pancetta (on the side) and tangy balsamic dressing. My dad and I went to DeLullo's Trattoria for dinner on a Thursday evening. I had called to make a reservation for 6:30pm, but arrived around 6pm because it didn't take as long to get there as anticipated. We started with an order of breadsticks and nacho cheese. The breadsticks are AMAZING. I could've made a meal out of those, but then I'd have missed out on the salad and pasta! Next, we each had a side salad, which you can add onto any entree for $2.99, not the $5.00 listed on the menu. My dad had honey mustard dressing, while I had the homemade ranch. For our entrees, we both had the seafood ravioli with Alfredo sauce instead of the listed Parma Rosa. It was delightful! The seafood flavors were distinct and the Alfredo was mild enough to not overpower the ravioli. We will definitely be returning. If you're ever in Cicero, you must stop at DeLullo's! Definitely a wonderful, intimate Italian restaurant that will have you coming back over and over again. DeLullo's is located on the main strip in Cicero in a converted house. But don't worry, there's a big sign on the front yard so you can't miss it. There's plenty of street parking and they also have a small lot next door. On a nice day you can sit on the porch or on the patio, but we decided to go with the air conditioning. It's definitely small - I think max occupancy is 50 and the tables are pretty close to one another. We were quickly seated on a Saturday night, thankfully no wait with 2 small children. The menu is pretty small with a handful of popular Italian dishes like lasagna, fettuccine alfredo and ravioli. They do have pizzas and rotating specials every night. They don't have a children's menu but they can make any of the dishes into smaller portions. We started off with the bruschetta, and man oh man, I would come back just for this (and order 2)! So good. I loved the crunchy, buttered bread, tomatoes and basil. Highly recommend. My husband got the seafood ravioli in spicy tomato sauce and I got one of the specials, mahi mahi with arugula in lemon caper sauce. My boys split a "small" spaghetti and meatballs. Food came out piping hot and it was very good - and you get a lot of it. I ended up taking half of my dinner home with me and my boys had some of theirs left over. Service was a little off, but I think it was just her and one other server taking care of the whole restaurant so not going to complain. First, allow me to start by saying we have had great experiences with food and service in the past. However, things must have changed here for the worst, at least based on our experience tonight. We were celebrating our anniversary and got there around 7:30pm. The restaurant was closing at 8:30. They were not busy so we were thinking we would get some good attention at a minimum. The server Angy, did not greet us and only asked what we would like to drink. Later she took our order and that was the last we saw of her. She never came back to ask us how our appetizer was nor our dinner. The food was subpar with the sauce separating and some of the seafood overcooked. But a server has to be present to make this right or offer other food. What was worse than the food though was the service. We have always had amazing service there especially with Shannon. However, this was hands down the worse service we have had not just here, but any restaurant in awhile. At one point, I even had to get up and try to find our server to get something. She never offered to take any of our plates away either at any point during the evening. We left upset saying to each other we would not come back again at least not for awhile. This was very frustrating as it was supposed to be an enjoyable evening especially for an anniversary. It seemed like we were just an inconvenience keeping her from getting home and the feeling she didn't want to be there. I got the asparagus instead of the pasta it came with bc I love asparagus. And the salad came with bacon! I love bacon so that made me and hubby happy! We were finally able to stop into DeLullo's the other night. Since they relocated from Atlanta to Cicero, this place has become wildly popular. It has been several weeks since the place has settled in from its grand opening. Enough so that you'd think it'd be easy enough to get in, especially on a weeknight. Nope. We were lucky to even get a table on a Wednesday night. No matter what time or what day you go it will be packed. So be prepared to wait. This place wasn't quick even at its old location. It's a slow restaurant regardless. But compounded with the insane business, it takes for....ev.....er to get your food. The service is fine other than the fact that everything is just so SLOW! My dad got lasagna, which he enjoyed. We also had cream cheese bread as an appetizer which was decently good. Then there was the margherita pizza. This needs work. It was not good. Typically, margherita pizza comes with tomatoes and not tomato sauce...here they add both. The sauce is overkill, not necessary. Secondly, this pizza could use twice as much cheese. But third and most important, it needs SALT! I am not someone who adds salt to their food and rarely do I eat something at a restaurant that I think needs salted, but this is it. This place needs work. It's not bad, it's not great...the prices are decent, but the catch is that nothing comes with a side salad or any other sort of side. Overall I would probably opt to try this place again but with takeout instead of dining in. The pizza we had was not worth the wait. read more

"When you're here, you're NOT family..." was suggested title of my review. If you're not from Cicero, don't expect to be greeted upon arrival and if you're expecting Italian specialty... that would be understatement. I am married to a Chiodini, so Northern Italy is in our family BOF. When I hear 'Gnocchi" miss pronounced as Ga Noki, I do raise eyebrow. I had high expectations going in.... but the menu is predominantly pasta, Hoagies and High Dollar Salads. I looked for Risotto or a Parmigiana (egg plant or otherwise) and was disappointed. As we waited a good while to have order taken, we missed the specials, as we both agreed to share pizza by the time our server came. We ordered Bells in bottles which came with frosted mug, which had a cream residue frozen to outside. My guest is 21 and had license, when checked, I volunteered my glasses for the server to read. She did the math and then allowed us to order. After 4 people canvassed our table to view my guest, we got uneasy about her drinking a beer. Now after 40 minutes of witnessing the warm reception given to every other table in the family room, we got our pizza. Pizza was a medium with hand made crust. The gluten and oven temp was nicely done. The Dellula special has Sausage, Peperoni, Onion Spinach and seasoning. They use a mix of cheeses, one is like Ricotta or Provel similar StL Imos Pizza. There is little tomato sauce to weaken the crust, so it was the reason for 3 Stars. The Pizza and having a welcoming atmosphere would have bumped it to 4 stars, but we left disappointed and really won't feel need to return, unless Big Dog BBQ and/10 On Main cannot seat us again. Came here with another couple to try out on a week night based on the solid online reviews. Parking is available on the street, but also in the lot to the west of the house-like restaurant. The entrance is also on the west side of the building, which has a ramp leading up to it, just so you don't make the mistake of trying to enter via the front door like we did. They have signs up indicating that masks are required, but I didn't notice anyone wearing a mask. They seemed pretty busy, but the hostess quickly greeted us and took us to a table. Since it is a converted house, it isn't overly spacious, but that was fine by me as it has some charm. Preferred seating would probably be on their covered front porch, as I imagine an older couple would have preferred for our party based on the icy stares we received throughout the evening. Menu seems to have a variety without being too much and the prices seem very reasonable. I ordered the Seafood Ravioli (16.95) and my wife chose a Pasta By You with mushrooms, artichokes, and spinach (13.25). We also split a Mama's Salad (7.75). We very much enjoyed the salad as they make their own dressing and the tomatoes were very good. I would order the ravioli again, especially with the vodka sauce that had a bit of kick over the alfredo. My wife actually was semi-disappointed in her dish because the vodka sauce was not an option listed in the menu. Our service took a little while, but I understand that things happen and don't hold that against restaurants with the way things are right now. Why I didn't give 5 stars in this review is because a mistake had been made with the order for the wife of the other couple. They brought Spaghetti and Meatballs to our table by itself first, but we indicated that no one had ordered that. A couple minutes later they came with the orders for 3 of us, but did not have the Spaghetti Florentine that she had ordered. They said they would have it out in 5 minutes, but it was actually well more than 10 before she received it. There was no attempt to compensate for the error, unless you count the $2 difference between the wrong order and what she actually ordered, which I don't. If not offering her meal for free, they could have offered a dessert, a discount for a future visit, or heck, even the spaghetti and meatballs that they tried to bring us first before we knew what was going on. Considering the other couple had ordered beverages and an appetizer (BTW, their bread appetizers use the same bread that comes with the meal), those also could have been options. So bottom line, enjoyed the meal that we ordered, but were disappointed with how our friends' experience was handled. Would probably consider returning if in the area, but not making a special trip as we did for this venture. read more

This place has delicious food but horrible customer service. Waiters and waitresses have been rude when I ate inside with my mom on two occasions. Tonight I tried to place an order for pick up and my calls were ignored several times. Finally someone answered then hung up on me in the middle of my order, and ignored my attempts to call back. Now, I understand they may have been short staffed, so keep that in mind. It's a cute little place. First: I called to see if we needed a reservation, the woman who answered the phone was rude. We waited a while to be seated. Once seated I thought yay good food! I opened up my napkin and there was food crusted on my knife. The food was bland. The whole experience was awful.
