Wonderful owner, amazing food! Wish this place was closer to my home. Highly recommend!

Excellent soup and sandwich place. All run by one amazing man. His soups are all homemade from scratch and so are his sandwiches. The man is a machine. He has a super friendly personality and makes you feel right at home in his restaurant. It's a small cozy place with a few tables inside. The prices are very reasonable. I would totally recommend this place.

I would have never known about this place had it not been for a pharmacist friend of mine who took me there over a year ago. I recently took a friend there for dinner. There aren't many places in the lower mainland where you can get a full meal (ie. main, soup and drink) for under $12!! Yasser is a one-man operation and he does everything. I ordered the lentil soup but he combined it with minestrone which was delicious. The corned beef sandwich was made with real corned beef and not the processed garbage. He even gave me a complimentary vegan chocolate cake!! I can't say enough great things about this mom and pop place. You can't find value like this anywhere else.

    The owner and chef!

Seating is limited inside, but there are plenty of exterior seats and benches on the outside (W and N facing). The inside has a high ceilings with all the white ductwork visible. This venue also has quite a large bakery production area. Staff are friendly and professional. I must say I was skeptical as the place was vegan. Tried their flat white, as well as their Nanaimo bar. Both were absolutely delicious. I guess the only downside to the place is that it bakes in the afternoon sun because of all the large W facing windows. Talk about a pleasant surprise. I'd gladly come by again for more coffee and bakery goodness. Highly recommended.

This café features a fully vegan menu which is amazing for vegans and those who can't enjoy dairy comfortably! I was blown away by how the white chocolate strawberry croissant tasted nothing like it was short of eggs. The texture resembles an actual croissant and I would say the only difference lies in the flight drier/stiffer texture. There was a sweet filling inside that paired really well with the croissant, causing me to devour the whole thing in one sitting. Their drinks are standard and can served for here or to go. I love the ambiance and interior of the café. There is ample seating and space. I also love that they have a little section for kids with books and toys to keep them busy. Through the window, you can also see the baking facility that the café uses to prepare all their food. This is a wonderful spot to stop by in the neighbourhood and I'm glad my boyfriend lives close by so I can walk here on many occasions!

There is also a E facing table and patio umbrella outside, but it wasn't set up during this rainy season. The room is quite stuffy (lack of ventilation), so they had the door propped open. This place is quite cramped. Staff are friendly. I think they're Korean. Coffee here is pretty decent. No complaints. Didn't try the food. It was kind of chilly inside because they had the door propped open despite it being cold out, but I can imagine it might have been stuffy for the staff in the kitchen area. The barista was very nice! I got the Sooyo croissant, an egg tart, and a milk tea. I loved the Sooyo croissant - I'm weak to the brie/fig combo and this had just the right balance of all the ingredients on a warm and soft croissant. The egg tart was also really nice with a hint of cinnamon. It was bite-sized which was good for a small treat. I also loved the milk tea. It was very strong, and the brown sugar syrup enhanced the flavour! It was worth the trip for me for a relaxing snack stop!

I was glad to visit on a Sunday morning while taking a walk with my boyfriend in his neighbourhood. When we arrived, it was quite busy. The coffee shop is small, but charming with limited seating available. The menu mainly contains basic coffee shop items as well as a variety of baked goods. We ordered an iced specialty coffee with ice cream and a small latte. I also chose the Tiramisu danish and we nibbled on it while waiting for our coffee. The danish was suggested by the cashier as one of the more popular items. She was completely right, because this baked treat was heavenly. The outside was like a croissant, flakey and buttery and paired with a delicious tiramisu custard on the inside. We also grabbed a scone for our walk home (which turned out to be delicious as well). The shop also sells local artisanal goods such as chocolate, sauces, and even loaves of bread. It's nice to gander around while waiting for your order. We enjoyed our coffee on the walk back home. The coffee is quite strong, which would be optimal for most coffee lovers. The flavour was deep and chocolate-y, but not bitter at all. I read on their site that they regularly rotate their bean selection. I would love to return to try more of their food items!
