Ive come here more times than I can count. The one lady running this place by herself works so hard. Her food is delicious. This is exactly the type of small business we need more of. Ive tried several of her sandwiches, all of her kimbap options, and her korean noodle bowl. Ive also tried most of her drink options. Drinks are fine - pretty typical coffee shop beverages and quality is good. Certainly theyre not going to win best coffee awards or anything like that, but its more than fine. Food tastes homemade and fresh which is awesome. She makes it all to order. Anyone who has run a small business before will know how tough it can be, especially when it involves the service industry, so my kudos to her for doing this on her own this well. Nobody is perfect, but this place is worth a visit. Restaurant is small and cozy but clean and comfortable enough. There are a few seats/tables. Many people do takeout. read more

This is the first time this has happened to me. I've been to this place about 5 times. Loved it the first time. Wrote a stellar review. The owner thanked me for the review. After they knew I was the one who wrote the review their service toward me completely changed. Oddly enough it seemed that I was the only one who they benched and put on the back burner. Amongst others dining there, I was the only one who was served last. Whose food took the longest and somehow I was the one who they were always out of soup for. I would wait at the counter and wait and wait and after they helped everyone else including putting dishes away....finally I'd be served. Even then it had turned into a cold encounter. Literally, their warm and friendly service for others came to a screeching halt when I was addressed. This happened the second time I went back. I thought maybe an off day. Then the third time. Then the fourth time. And today the fifth time and the last time. Their Sandwiches are good though warranting the 1 star. I don't know what to say. Letting an amazing review get to your head. Great Americano. My service was incredible friendly. Very cute little coffee shop near the hospital, which is handy. They have a fair amount of food options, sandwiches, wraps and soups. Everything is fairly priced. One of these days I am going to try out the food and then update this review. read more

Such a wonderful little cafe. The sandwiches are amazing! I had a turkey clubhouse sandwich (with cranberry sauce) with tomato soup and they were delicious! The sandwich was massive, I only had room for half of it and saved the other half for later :) also, the owner (I believe) was super friendly and kind. I highly recommend this cafe and would definitely come again if I pass by North Van again! read more

I love this place. Local, freshly grinded coffee, many options including sandwiches and specialty coffee drinks. Attention to detail. Medium sitting space about three tables and large windows with high chairs. Great street view, low noise, low crowd. Perfect spot to have a bite and read the paper. They bake some pastries in site and owners kindly attend, a very lovely couple. read more

I happened to be in the area and wanted a deli sandwich. I was a bit skeptical because the cafe had only one review. THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. I ordered two turkey club sandwiches and soups. All of the ingredients were high quality and very fresh. The turkey was real and freshly carved. Both the chicken noodle soup and the tomato basil soup were excellent. The place seemed to be owned and managed by a cute husband and wife team. I strongly recommend trying this quaint cafe. read more

Friendly workers and delicious cappuccinos! I am happy I came across this cafe. I also tried a chai tea latte and it was better than I expected because it did not have that "straight out of a box/tin" taste to it. For example, some chai lattes I have tried in other cafes seem like simple tea bag versions mixed with milk and sugar and bam 1 minute later I have my "$4.75" chai tea latte. This one made at Kim's was made with more care ;) Note: I do not recall how much the chai latte was at Kim's (I just used a random price in my example for other cafes), but it was worth the amount I paid. :) read more

So far one of my favorite coffee shops. The coffee and food is great. I had a breakfast sandwich and it was made fresh for me. It had fresh veggies and tasted amazing. The owners are the nicest people. Highly recommended. read more

This a a cute little cafe across from the police station. The people who run it are very courteous. I've been to Kim's several times over the past 4 months and haven't had any issues. Their breakfast wrap is very tasty. I would go more often for their food but I am lactose intolerant and I don't know what kind of options they have for me for food or drinks. read more
