First time visiting any At Home location. I was unsure of what to expect going in, but actually was…read morevery surprised by At Home and in a good way. At Home is basically a mixture of a Michales, World Market, Pier 1, and Bed,Bath, and Beyond all rolled into one. Seasonal decor is up located at the front of the store while bigger furniture pieces are in the back. For smaller items, you do have to wander around a bit as things are everywhere in this big space. This is probably intentional, but I do prefer a clearly labeled and organized store. Most of the furniture pieces are already assembled, which can be amazing for those of us who are done assembling furniture with Allen wrenches for the rest of our lives. The store employees are very friendly and ready to help locate items as well as carry the heavier items up to the front for checkout. At checkout, make sure to sign up for At Home perks and score yourself a discount coupon on your next visit. Prices are pretty comparable to other stores that offer similar items.

I did find the "Let's Flamingle" door mat, which will vastly irritate my pun-loathing friends. They didn't have the "Go Away" door mat. Or the one that says, "I hope you brought wine." Ah well. I found a couple more flamingo things, but discovered to my surprise that they do not carry slipcovers. This strikes me as odd for such a gigantic store. It was difficult to find anyone to help me, but when I did, he was very helpful. Almost everything I bought was summer stuff on clearance. A lot of summer and garden stuff is NOT on clearance. Also weird, as I write this in early November. I didn't really need two adorable garden gnomes, but I wanted them. Alas, not on clearance, and neither was the large grey resin alligator. I probably would have bought it at $40, but definitely not at $80. Silly impulses can only go so far. $80 is too far for me. Hangers are well priced, will go back and get them another time. It's always the ugliest patio cushions that go on sale. Oh well. Some patio umbrellas are on clearance, others are not. Also weird. Maybe some patterns are temporary and others permanent stock.

Almost every item feels one of a kind, unlike commercial stores where you'll see 20 of the same thing. I have to measure and decide whether to carpet the stairs or use wood. Their installation prices seem fairly high, at $2.09 a square foot, plus it's $35 for them to come over and see the space. That does get applied to the installation charges. However, I'm comparing them to some guy named Steve whom I have in my phone. I'll get estimates after I measure. I'm very happy with my previous purchases, and do not expect to be disappointed with any future purchases. While I will look at Home Depot, etc, I think that their prices will probably be higher.

I had to sign 8 different places, and deal with the store 3 times to even get them in my hands. It is extremely clear why this company had to shut down half its stores across the country and half their stores in the state. I have never had to deal with more incompetent sales people in my life. ON TOP OF ALL THAT the store manager Brandon consistently appears to have not showered in over 2 weeks. This store used to be solid. At this point I would rather pay the outrageous shipping fee then have to deal with their stores again.

So I looked online, and Floor & Decor had exactly what I wanted, on clearance! Woohoo! This is a GIGANTIC store. It seems to have literally EVERYTHING flooring that your heart could desire. I was enchanted by some of the tile. But I don't NEED any tile, so sadly passed it up. They have tile that looks like wood! And marble! I needed waterproof vinyl plank flooring to go over concrete, as apparently peel-and-stick requires a plywood base and is therefore more effort. The waterproof stuff is just click-and-lock, and can be cut with an X-acto knife. You can use 6-mil poly as a vapor barrier. This is for a small outbuilding, so 7 boxes should be sufficient. A very nice young man loaded the boxes onto a cart, and then put them into my car for me! Their prices seem very fair, although I just zeroed in on what I needed and didn't have time to fully explore the store. The tile selection seems vast. Best part: they're well-stocked, at least with what I bought. I'm fully confident that if I need another box, they'll have it in stock.

The sofa was assessed by Arhaus and they determined all cores need to be repalced - at my cost of $2000. I would expect a $15k couch, that is rarely used, to last more than 3 years.
