Wrong furniture delivered and no updates from the store for 2 weeks. We have had to call constantly for any updates and the information would change. Sometimes they would tell us they would deliver the correct furniture and take the incorrect furniture. Some calls they told us to come in and swap the furniture. When we did come in to swap the furniture they didn't even have what we needed in stock to take home. Anytime we explained the issues and our frustration, we'd be told a manager was going to call us. It's been 2 weeks and no one has called us. Also when we originally bought the furniture in person, it took an hour to ring us up. Poor customer service all around. read more

My experience with furniture shopping at Scandinavian Designs was great! The showroom is HUGE and there are so many options - make sure to go downstairs for the sale items too. I just moved into a new loft & needed some good furniture at a decent price... as much as I wanted that $6k RH couch, Scandinavian Designs really came through with good quality, modern design, and a good price. Reinelle was an excellent sales consultant... she's so knowledgeable about the products and made my experience even better. I purchased an electric reclining leather sofa & chair, a 7x10 woven rug, a walnut console table, a modern sofa/futon, and a sit/stand desk with file cabinet. I've been very pleased with everything, but the delivery was a little off - a few pieces were missing from the first shipment & the drivers didn't know why, so I had to contact the store & figure it out. Luckily Reinelle made it better & escalated to her manager, so it was delivered that week. All in all, I'm pleased with my experience at Scandinavian Designs & would recommend it to others in need of quality furniture (great selections) at a decent price! read more

Love this store! I actually originally found them on yelp when I was moving from DC. I wanted a true local store and Scandinavian Designs may not be from Denver but they do have the quality/service you would expect from a local retailer. I wanted mid century modern but I needed something faster than CB and West Elm could offer me. I wanted just a media console but ended up purchasing a table and a couch when our West Elm never arrived. I get SO many compliments on the media console. We've had our furniture 3 months now and it's holding up well and easy to clean. The day I moved cross country Steve made sure my table and console arrived on time. He even offered me 10% off for being a new customer. Even the delivery guys(same guys came every time) were so nice! Just really nice people and everything was super easy. read more

I know this place doesn't get the best reviews on Yelp, but my experience has always been positive here. We purchased a coffee table, media stand, dining table, L couch and a loveseat from Scandinavian a little over 2 years ago. The media stand had scratches on the veneer and so did the dining table legs. We noted the issues when the delivery guys were here, they informed Scandinavian and we had a new media stand and new table legs delivered relatively quickly, both of which were in good condition. I will say that after 2 years of use the L couch is a bit... Saggy? That's not the right word obviously but it almost sunk a little bit in parts where we mostly sit and so the fabric on those sections seems loose. A bit disappointing for the money of course. The other day when we were here we placed an order for a sectional and an office desk, neither of which were in stock. However they allowed us to prepay for them, and have them delivered at the same time so we pay only one delivery fee vs two even though the desk will be arriving a month or so ahead of the sectional. We were able to use our 15% off mailer as well, and overall Steve who ran our transaction was very helpful and answered all of our questions. The one thing that I noticed, which wouldn't be an issue any other time, was that some employees had such loose masks that they kept falling under their noses when they spoke. They had to readjust every few minutes and they didn't even notice it sometimes. Also saw customers in the shop with masks below noses and none of the store employees did anything. So that was slightly frustrating. Otherwise humongous store with great modern furniture designs! read more

Attractive and quality pieces. My husband & I had been here before about a year ago when we were looking for new furniture. We ended up buying from somewhere else but kept this place in mind. Recently, I've been searching for a very specific kind of chair - it needed to match certain aesthetics, fall within certain dimensions, and offer adequate lumbar support. After searching several stores in the area, I found a chair that met my criteria here. It was also 50% off due to a sale. I know, lots of sales aren't really sales. I went home and researched the chair first to see how the price compared elsewhere. To my surprise, only a handful of online stores offer this particular chair and the price was substantially higher than the sale price at Scandinavian Furniture. We went back today and purchased the chair. I'm very happy with it. The sales associate was friendly and provided me with an extra discount for being a first time buyer. Overall, this store is quite large with two sprawling floors of all kinds of furniture and accent pieces. You could easily spend an hour wandering this store. read more

Despite higher prices than I like, the furniture is generally a nicer style and quality than other places. We purchased our couch online as a sale item and there were limited supply but when we went into the store they had multiple of the same item on their lower level that were cheaper than what we paid. I absolutely loved my experience with Scandinavian Designs and highly recommend them! My entire customer service experience was top notch- a goal that's harder and harder for a company to achieve in these covid times. I ordered my table and was told it could take a month to receive but was delighted to be called the next day and informed that another order for the same table had been cancelled and I could gone pick mine up! Nita provided the utmost professionalism and knowledge of the product line and was able to direct me towards pieces that might work for my needs. I never felt pushed into a sale or judged for feeling a price was out of budget. Unfortunately once I had my table in place I decided the finish wasn't the right color for us. Nita informed me of when the other colors would be available, ordered my new piece and they let me keep the one I was returning until the new one arrived. As with many shipments this last year, my new table took way longer to arrive than was thought. Nita kept in touch to ensure I knew my table was still on the way and when the time finally arrived that it could be delivered she contacted me to schedule. When the new table was delivered they also assembled it and took away the old table making the return process incredibly easy and convenient. This pricey furnishings store are appealing to someone who is ready their drop their entire budget into one literal sofa or desk. That doesn't seem economically convenient to me! I saw prices that were a bit over the top and I think the associates know this. The entire visit, there was unsurprisingly no one there and my head started to hurt from the constant upsell. The house fittings were also very bland and boring design that I could've picked up from a secondhand store. Mostly uninterested in their design and selection and I've been looking at different options around town for a new couch. Not very impressed, but maybe it's not my scene. read more

Helpful salespeople, although they did seem a bit understaffed. We immediately found the couch we wanted and were in a bit of a rush so the sales associate in training took our number and had the manager call us about half an hour later. They set up delivery for a mere five days later and everything was very professional and timely. This location is *enormous* so be prepared to spend some time here. The layout is spacious and comfortable, not crammed and claustrophobic like some furniture stores. Very nice. read more

They have been transparent about any backorder delays (there were quite a few) and they were flexible when I inquired about changing my order. One standout moment to share--I was informed that our dresser would be delayed by another two weeks, but Ken worked with his manager to see if the rest of our furniture could be delivered earlier. She explains the stores floor plans because it was a little overwhelming for me. We found some furniture and art work that we fell in love with but had no place to store if we bought them today. Ken Etchison came to the rescue! He explained that it could take 3-5 months for the sofa to be custom made at little or no cost. In addition they gave us a price quote on the art work and rug so in the event that we were ready they could look the items up for availability and quick order! Nice furniture but poor delivery standards and wait times. You would think that a company who sells such expensive furniture imported from Europe would have the funds to hire professional delivery people who use safety gear to ensure furniture does not get damaged. They use third party inexperienced delivery guys who come unprepared. No shrink wrapping, no scratch covers used. They will simply take your expensive dressers as is without any covers and trying to haul them up three flights of stairs expecting them to survive without a single scratch!! Furthermore, we had actual damage done in our home too. As the guys are trying to pick up these large heavy pieces of furniture and move them! And the wait time is crazy if you need to replace something. You will spend months waiting for stuff! read more

approximately two months ago I had placed an order for a queen size bed and a nightstand and a piece of artwork. I gave over a month lead time before delivery yet during the day of delivery delivery team showed up without the nightstand there was no explanation there was no notification. I had to reach back out to the store to find out the status of my nightstand it took hours for someone to respond back to me that the nightstand would not be delivered and I was offered to re-order a nightstand that I had ordered over a month before yet did not receive. very poor service. read more

I am so disappointed in the condition of the sofa I purchased some years back. I've had leather couches before and nothing like this has ever occurred. When I called them to ask what could be done, they told me that my only option was to have the sofa re-upholstered (at my expense of course). After spending the kind of money I spent there furnishing my two bedroom condo, I expected a little more than the response I received. I don't know why I thought they would stand behind their product with some integrity. Furnishing my home from Scandinavian was not a cheap experience but one I enjoyed at the time. Due to a death in the family, I found I had to move from the residence I had been living at for a year and a half. I found an unfurnished apartment, rented it, and went immediately to Scandinavian Designs to shop for living room, dining room, bedroom, and office furniture. I love their designs - they clean, elegant, and beautiful. I found everything I needed in that one stop - although they did have to order one chest of drawers since I wanted a second one to use in my office. My style is generally a combination of metal and wood; in clean designs - which means Scandinavian style. Here in the US, many associate that with "Ikea"; aka low quality that I wasn't looking for. This led me to Scandinavian Designs. I did a lot of research online before walking in and was presently surprised to find that the photos online really did look like the real thing (because sometimes they don't). The sale staff was excellent. In the end, I bought online to take advantage of the Rakuten discount, but it was good to visit the showroom. The store has a wide selection of Scandinavian-inspired furnishings, much of which is good quality. We love browsing and enjoying the entire aesthetic of the store, and when we've needed a piece or two to add to our decor, Scandinavian Designs is our first ( and often last) stop. Sales staff is helpful and friendly and delivery is always spot-on. Of course, these days, with supply chain and shipping issues internationally, there is often a bit of a wait for something ordered, but it is always worth the wait and communication regarding orders is always thorough and up-to-date. read more

We had the worst possible experience buying a chair from this store. We ordered it, no one followed up, we called in 3 times to check in about status, delivery etc. It's 3 weeks later, several calls later where each sales person sends us in a different direction and still no chair, they don't even know exactly where it is! When the buyer has to do all the heavy lifting to get a simple piece of furniture out the door and delivered, Covid or no Covid this is terrible customer experience. read more
