I had a disappointing month of promises from Mattress Firm and a senior manager named Brandon who kept urging me to reselect. Mr. Rowland was able to find the Lux hybrid medium from Stearns and Foster that I wanted, and when it was a few days late, he provided a loaner, actually delivering it himself with another employee. I once purchased a king mattress from this store in Glendale and on S Colorado Blvd (2016). When I walked into the store I asked for the Dr's Choice, but the sales person told me they do not make that one anymore and sold me a different one. My wife and I needed a new mattress after living many years with the old. As we can't afford the fancy new types that the brand-name companies offer, we tried going to the Denver Mattress Company (off the 58th Ave. exit of I-25), which sells not only high-end name-brand products, but their own "Denver Matresses," at a lower price, say $800-1200. These mattresses, we found out later, have some sort of plastic/fabric imitation of real springs, but have indeed no steel springs. We tried a "soft one" at about $1000, as I recall. The first few mornings, my wife and i practically fell out of bed and onto the floor due to the weakness of the edges. We thought then that we'd try a firm matress to see if that worked better, as a replacement guarantee does come with the product and is honored well enough by the company. With the firm mattress, now, we really couldn't tell much difference if any with regard to "edge strength." Our sales person also mentioned in selling the "Denver Mattress," that "You have to realize that the life span of a good mattress is about ten years." What? In the past we have bought mattresses that would go twenty, even more, years. Circumstances--our budget and a sense of fairness--have forced us to be content at this point with what we have, and we realize that buying a mattress nowadays is on a par with buying a Lear Jet. Only the Lear Jet will get you to Las Vegas faster than a Denver Mattress. read more

I had such a great experience at the Denver Mattress Company after a wild ride of mattress failures. I tried a bed in box mattress that was too soft, and then bought a mattress at Urban Mattress that didn't work out and got dinged a restocking fee. I went to Mattress Firm on Broadway and dealt with a super unprofessional, arrogant salesman, so by the time I got to Denver Mattress, I was in sad shape and my mattress search had become a real Princess and the Pea situation. The first time I tried out mattresses there, I worked with Shane who was fantastic! Super informative and patient. I went back the next night to try a few more mattresses and worked with Brian who was also awesome, funny, down-to-earth and not pushy at all. The in-store experience is great there. Nice lighting, lots of space, and you can tell they keep it very clean. I ended up purchasing a mattress that is backordered for several weeks, and they are even arranging for a loaner mattress in the meantime. The last couple nights have been the best sleep we've gotten in a long, long time and we have Denver Mattress to thank for that. About a year ago, we decided it was time for a new mattress. We've had our for about eight years and it's definitely seen better days - it was time to upgrade to something better because sleep is very important to both of us. We started the search at lots of different places throughout the Denver area and quickly became overwhelmed. We decided we should just wait a bit and start the search fresh - everything was starting to feel the same. A couple of months pass and I noticed a Tempurpedic store was opening in Cherry Creek mall. We take a trip there and after spending a lot of time trying out their different models, settle on a King Supreme Breeze. We go home to talk numbers and decide that we need to try just a few more before settling on the Tempurpedic as it is quite the investment. Cue Denver Mattress. They are a Tempurpedic retailer, so it seemed like a good place to go to in order to compare the bed we love with other options. We came in on a Sunday afternoon and began looking around. At the time, all the salespeople were busy with other customers but someone spoke with us right away and said they'd be with us as soon as possible. After about twenty minutes, we began speaking with Chad. He asked about what we have now, what we like and don't, what we're looking for and what we love about the T-P. I asked him if he could suggest anything that suits our needs that we can compare the T-P to and he showed us a couple of options. He was patient with us as we tried out the different mattresses to really get a sense of how they felt. We found nothing compared to the T-P, so we ventured back to that and began to talk about our options. Chad was very helpful in explaining all the different bases, remotes, pillows, etc. that were available with the bed. We ended up deciding on a flat foundation. Because Tempurpedic controls the price for all its beds, the price wasn't able to be reduced on the bed itself, but we decided to purchase from Denver Mattress not only because of the kind salespeople but also because they offered $300 in accessories upon purchase (I believe it's $200 if the bed is something other than a T-P). With this, we were able to pay for the new frame as we were switching bed sizes, the mattress protector and some pillows. We are also thrilled with their year-long Comfort Guarantee! We came in the next day (Monday) to order everything in person. Upon ordering, we asked for the delivery date to be ASAP. Saturday was the next available date, but there were three other customers ahead of us in line to receive the same product and have it delivered that day. We were warned we might get a call on the delivery day saying the date would have to be pushed back a bit just due to inventory. Friday afternoon, I get a call saying our delivery window is 10 AM - 12 PM. Saturday morning comes and I nervously wait for the call saying it's not available - luckily it never comes! 10 AM on the dot, I get another call saying "Your delivery is 10 minutes away" - so exciting! The delivery people were on time, prompt and knowledgeable with the setup, respectful and done in about ten minutes - and had no problem maneuvering the King mattress up the stairs and around into the Master! A $600 Durango mattress lasted less than four years. It began to sag in the middle and was more like sleeping in a hole than an actual bed. When I called to say "I don't even care about the warranty, I don't like the quality of your product, can't you just send someone over to haul it away?" They said it would be a $50 delivery fee, EVEN IF it was a warranty/exchange call. The biggest problem with longevity is probably that there is no way to flip the mattress or rotate it to extend its life. One would hope that a mattress this expensive would probably allow you to do this. My local trash company will charge $20 to haul off a $600 mattress that didn't live up to the hype or the expectations of pretty much any other bed. I recently purchased a $200 queen sized mattress at IKEA which will likely hold up much better. Plus, I can flip that bed if I want. Avoid Denver Mattress Company. read more

I had a nightmare of a move, and to make it worse, my queen box spring wouldn't fit down the stairs of my new place. I called Denver Mattress where I bought my bed 2 years ago, and spoke to Matthew. He got me a split box spring, discounted the rate, and when he saw delivery wouldn't happen for 2 weeks, he personally brought it to me the next day! The experience was very bad. The delivery guy with bad attitude refused to put the mattress pad protector saying their hands are dirty and they do not do that. However, at the end he put it because I insisted and confronted on the cell phone with voice speaker to his sales person who acknowledged that we previously agreed they will put that mattress cover. I ended up voluntarily paying them $90.00 tip so they did it when they heard the conversation I had the the salesman. I WILL NEVER USE THIS BUSINESS ANYMORE AFTER THAT EXPERIENCE. I PAID OVER $1,400.00 for that mattress with its pad protector. Further, they were suppose to deliver the mattress in my home 3 days ago and it was their fault they did not do it so they inconvenience me on my holiday Independence day 4th of July today to deliver it. A few weeks later I went back to the store and upgraded to a firmer mattress. The two fellows that helped me out were Matthew and Micah. I cannot speak more highly of them. Yay! We had a wonderful shopping experience. Chad was super helpful and guided us around the showroom, helping us make a great choice. We opted for the Denver Mattress Company brand- which was priced so well in comparison to the other mattress we liked, which was a Sealy with literal black diamond dust in the pillow top- I don't know if I'd be able to avoid rolling my eyes every time we got in bed. Our bed felt perfect and it was simple math that swung our decision. $3500 vs $1600, including the pillows and a magic mattress pad that gets cool as you lay on it (paraffin wax inside) plus an In-store 10 year warranty. They had a big range of beds- their brand of course, but also Sealy, Serra, Aireloom and a whole lot of others I was unfamiliar with. The kids had a good time, too. Recently I had to purchase a new bed. I have never enjoyed this purchase as I find it a a bit overwhelming to figure out what bed best fits my needs, especially since this purchase will need to fit my needs for the next decade or so. Denver Mattress makes this task less stressful and almost enjoyable with their excellent customer service. I worked directly with Chad who is also the store manager. He helped me find the bed that best fit my needs and showed me a couple of alternatives as well. He assured me that if the bed doesn't work out once it was delivered that I would have four months to return or exchange it for 100% of the purchase price and then afterwards they will still give some credit towards an exchange for the first year. I don't see that happening as I have been sleeping well on my new queen size Madison Euro Top. I don't think I will be having a need to return to Denver Mattress anytime soon, but if you are looking for a new bed I highly recommend this location! read more

I never bother to write reviews but I just had to give a shout out to John (Jon?) at the CO. Blvd location. He was wonderful! My boyfriend and I went in looking for a Tempurpedic mattress but we didn't want to break the bank either. John ended up calling around and getting us the Tempur-Cloud Supreme (a nearly 3000 dollar mattress) for just under 1500 dollars. We felt no pressure to buy when we were trying out the different models, and even though we know they work on commission, he didn't try to sell us anything we didn't need, and he was open and honest with all of our questions. Really a great experience and if I need anything in the future I will definitely go back to this store. read more

Sad to say, but I bought a mattress here about 3+ years ago. Great customer service no complaints on any of that at all. It is more about the mattress. Our bed that my bf and I purchased was the Madison and it had a bit of a pillow top. It is already 1 inch depressed. That is pretty unheard of for a mattress within 3 years. Which we rotated and took really good care of. The warranty covers it for 1.5 inches so i guess I will just keep laying on it until then. But I also think we got a floor model - so prob wont be covered. Wish I did more research and will just have to suffer until I save up enough money to buy a new bed. Just do your homework before you buy a bed. read more

I have always found buying a mattress to be as unpleasant as buying a car. Pushy salespeople, less than upfront pricing, price gouging, all of that. We were in the market for a mattress, preferably able to be picked up that day, and had gone to another store first. We ran into the usual shtick and were left with a bad taste in our mouths. About to resort to NextDoor to buy a king sized mattress, I suggested Denver Mattress. Lo and behold, we walked in and were soon greeted by a pleasant and professional salesperson (I forget his name, I believe it was Ethan? Maybe Evan?). I told him what our price range was, and he gave us a quick lowdown of their pricing, showed us where the mattresses in our range were (he assured us there were plenty, despite our budget being on the lower end for a king sized mattress), and said he'd leave us to it. We exhaled the breath we didn't even realize we had been holding in as we were left on our own to test out all the mattresses in our price range. 15 minutes later we had decided on a model, and went to get our salesperson who efficiently walked us through the rest of the sale. We could have had the mattress delivered, but chose to go to the warehouse store to pick it up that day (they didn't have any of that size and model at the Colorado Blvd store) and just be done with it. That experience was also incredibly pleasant as well. Handshakes every step of the way, too! From our initial salesperson to the guy at the warehouse who helped us load the mattress into the truck. While I recognize that the hands-off sales approach might not work for everyone, I think I made it very clear from the moment we walked in the door that was the experience we were looking for, and it was understood and accommodated beautifully. Their prices are significantly more reasonable than the bigger chain mattress store we went to, and the experience was phenomenally better. They have a 4 month money back guarantee (it's actually a full year, but you get a percentage back after 4 months instead of the full price) and a 10 year warranty. I'm not sure how this compares with other mattress companies, but based on everything else about this company, I'm willing to say it's comparable. read more

I do not understand why Denver Mattress was not able to deliver us our bed as we requested it this Sunday in Denver. Their whole system for delivery must be broken across the board because this is the fifth time that Furniture Row has let me down and messed up delivery. Now I have to take time off work to have it delivered on a new day, I don't understand why it is so hard to make a delivery occur especially when I am paying for the service. I have lost faith in this company and do not recommend it to anyone unless they want their furniture lost in a warehouse somewhere. Not happy with my mattress. Bought the Denver Matress Telluride and was supposed to be firmer. After 3 years the mattress is terrible and there is no help. They say for "Warranty Purpose" you have to lay a stick across the top of the bed and it has to measure "2 inches" in sagging before they will do anything. !!!!!!! 2 INCHES!!!!!!!!! WOW... My back Thank You "NOT" for this. When you are laying on the bed it sinks a lot farther than it looks when you see the bed. And that is rotating it like they suggest. So no thanks. For 2,105.65$ You would think that you would receive a mattress that lasts a little longer. I have asked them for over a year about exchanging it but have gotten nowhere. So before you buy make sure you know EXACTLY the warranty and know that you will probably not get any help. read more
