I was visiting my uncles apartment in Phoenix in January and saw some bedside lamps I really liked…read more I found out they were sold at AFW, so when I got back home to Oregon I decided to reach out to see if they would be willing to ship some of the lamps to me. My mom also wanted the lamps, so it took about three weeks from when I first emailed and when I received the lamps. (I was pleasantly surprised they would ship them to me without spending the 8,000.00 shipping minimum) They shipped them to two separate addresses and they did research on the cheapest way to ship them. I really apprecieatd that. Once they shipped it only took about 2 days to get to my mom and 4 days to get to me. I worked with Tena from the Thornton Colorado store.

Had a desk delivered and the technicians putting together did not put all the pieces on it. The…read moredesk wobbled. They hid the missing parts under my bed. The screws were stripped. I called American furniture and they sent a technician out a few days later to see if they can fix it. The technician was here for 20 minutes and made the call to get me a new desk delivered. He did not attempt to take the desk apart and put it together again. The company then sent me confirmation that they were exchanging the broken desk for a new one. A few days later the delivery people came back and at first tried to act like they were technicians inspecting. The desk to see if I actually needed a new one. I had to tell them the appointment was for an exchange pre my receipts. They brought the new desk up but instead tried to fix my old desk in a makeshift way and told me "there it works you don't need a new desk." Mind you, the missing parts are still not put on and the screws are still stripped. I asked the if they were refusing to deliver a new desk and they again stated "your desk works " and refused. And then walked out with the new desk and refused the delivery leaving me with a broken desk "that works" according to them. The makeshift fix they appplied isn't even correct. If I were to take this desk apart to move I would not be able to put it back together. Both of the delivery people (a white and black guy) were some of the most incompetent and rude criminals I've ever encountered in all my years of having definitive delivered. They both refused to give me their names. I had to call the store and actually ask if these guys worked for them and whether I should call the authorities or not. I still don't know. But they portrayed themselves as American furniture employees but who even knows. I will be seeking all available remedies if this does not get resolved. Hoping the company can fix this but regardless this is some of the worst customer service I have ever encountered. Who knows if these delivery folks were just rouge or if this is an overall company strategy to swindle documented returns and exchanges due to company error Be careful.

We reached out to the store (barely within the return window) and they went above and beyond to help us get a replacement mattress that will be a bit softer AND we actually received money back because the alternative option that we chose was less expensive that what was originally purchased. I say they went above and beyond because we will not be here and they had to schedule the pick-up and re-delivery out into February 2026 and honored all of the terms of the original return agreement. From sales floor people to managers everyone communicated well and worked together to make sure I was a happy customer. Their customer service is very much appreciated.

In the past, we have used two of the Mattress Firm locations in Boulder. One of them (as well as a…read morethird that used to be there) have been closed permanently. Only one remains and seems more targeted to the student and younger adult market than to people needing to refresh an older bedroom. The brand and grade and size, especially mattress depth, needed to remain within a certain measurement because at this point I am unwilling to buy all new bed linens to accommodate these newer mattress sizes. And we did not need a whole new "set" as we have already had to customize the support unit to a low profile, split queen box spring with the Boulder Mattress Firm location some years ago. Needed for a short resident in an older house with narrow stairwell to the second floor location. Having once decades ago, ordered a set that had to be hoisted by climbing ropes via a sliding door to balcony of second floor bedroom, we were not going to ever do that again. The hunt was hard and the one that seemed most likely from an online search was only in stock to see at the Superior, CO location. Not far so we went in. Like all Mattress Firms I have visited, the staff is very limited in number but always helpful. We did look at the one we came to and though it seemed a bit softer than ideal, we had not found anything more likely to try. So we did buy it. Victor set it up for delivery in a few days. Availability turned out to be an issue after all. This is the point in which you need all the help you can get from staff. And we did get it from Victor. Much of this company is based on automated messages with not much option to customize delivery. After 2 tries on a date, with contact with staff, a delivery date was chosen when availbility returned. But you cannot select time slot. You get an automated message the night before with the time based on their route for the day. The first one we got conflicted with a long awaited med appt so Victor manually contacted them to have it delayed a day.You can delay by the day, but not by a time slot. That night we got the automated message for the next morning, snow and all. But they did make that time and the delivery team did a great job of getting it in and leaving their snowy shoes on the porch etc. The mattress was in plastic covering. The mattress was in fact softer than we had started out looking for but in fact slept very well last night. There is the option to swap it out within a time limit as needed but we probably won't at this time, because all of the other options have been examined and rejected. Perhaps another time in life we will have an opportunity to start from scratch on bedroom design but for now, we are satisfied.

This review is about the play area only…read more I'd heard that Living Spaces had a fabulous play area so I took my 3 year old over to check it out. Because I'd also heard that they get quite busy and that there can be a long wait to play, so we went over at 10 am (when they open) on a Tuesday. It paid off as we were the only ones there for about 10 minutes. So, the play area is pretty great- my son played independently for about an hour. Things to know: You have to fill out a waiver for each kid each time before they can play. Online forms are coming at some point. Word on the street is that weekends are so busy and crazy that they should be avoided. Parents are required to stay in the play area with kids 3 and under but are required to leave kids 4 and over with the attendants. They have an interesting looking cafe right outside the play area but it wasn't open while we were there.

DON'T BUY FROM HERE. I recently had surgery and needed a recliner that had separate controls for…read morehead and legs. I contacted their online sales agents not once but twice to confirm that the chair I was about to order did in fact have that capability. I took a screen shot of the second one as proof, because it wasn't clear they were actually checking the product while I was chatting with them. Sure enough, the recliner gets here, and doesn't have the very capabilities they said it had. I contacted customer service and they said that I would have to pay the restocking fee (plus the pick up fee) even though I have PROOF that their sales people flat out lied to me. Total SCAM and heartless.
