Finally, Springfield got something good! There aren't too many places to grab a drink here. It's not even just for drinks, they are a full out restaurant with plenty of beers to try a flight with. The food here isn't just your typical bar food, it actually all tastes good and they have healthy choices with meat alternatives for the health conscious. I love their happy hours, both right after work and super late at night, which are perfect for killing time before the movies next door. There really isn't a bad thing about this place, the ambiance is perfect and the service is great. People love it so much and can get a little packed so you may want to get there early for good seats. This is probably a very good place for dating. I went there at night but the place still so packed(outside the patio area). The servers are nice. I love their calamari and clam soup. But i thought i would just try the fish dish (as image) and the waitress said its really popular and delicious, but i dont really like it though. I dont know what exact is this dish whether Asian or American. Its fish with Miso glazed something which i cant remember. My other server (Dic***) was great eye candy and was also attentative and nice. But Im a foodie first and this type of place is fir people that want to drink beers all day and soak up that alcohol with mediocre food. Springfield is kind of the weaker link in terms of NOVA food destinations. I ordered the crusted pork loin (rare). It came out well done so I an Elite Yelper like me sends overcooked food back. The loin and sweet potato mash was just OK. So I opted out of re-ordering that and got the jambalaya. It was a better dish. It was very filling. Either that or my apetite has waned because I live that IF (Intermiten Lifestyle). So if you end up hungry and here, I recomend the jambalaya. I've eaten here a few times pre-covid because my Dad is a vegan and they have quite a few food options for him. However, every time I eat here, I always leaving feeling very meh. It's just overpriced American food. Last night, I ordered dinner for curbside pickup to celebrate my Dad's birthday. The woman who answered the phone was great, I had to make a lot of substitution/special requests with two meals, one for my vegan Dad and one for my vegetarian sister. They both wanted salads and added on Gardein chicken. I have no dietary restrictions, and ordered a salad with normal chicken. The curbside pick up was pretty quick, but I'm glad we checked the meals before we left because we got 3 orders of normal chicken for the salads. I know the difference between the normal & fake chicken, I've been eating both for 20ish years. My Dad went back to the restaurant to tell them that we received the wrong chicken on two of the orders, to which he was told they were correct and that they were the Gardein. No, they weren't. I know what real chicken looks like. The guy my Dad spoke to offered to remake the chicken, and my Dad refused it, saying if he thought that was fake chicken, he didn't want to chance it. They did offer to refund the chicken, but my mom had pre-paid for the meal over the phone with her credit card, and we didn't bring it with us, so we left. Sadly, this isn't the first time this has happened to my Dad. I don't know why he insists on coming back here. They've served him real chicken about 75% of the time he asks for the Gardein. You'd think the Chef's would either have the differences between the two types explained, or labeled correctly, but I guess not. The salads otherwise were fine, as was the Gardein wings my Dad ordered. My mom's burger wasn't cooked how she wanted, and the Korean BBQ appetizer was a tough cut of meat, and the rice tasted burnt on the outside. The only way I'll come back/order from Yard House is it my Dad continues to insist upon it. Otherwise I always find this restaurant to be a huge waste of a meal. read more

Our first time at Yard House ever. We came to the Springfield, VA location to celebrate our sons 18th birthday. We were a party of 6, got seated on a Saturday with a 10 minute wait - great! John was our waiter. He was patient with all our questions, and knowledgeable with his answers and suggestions! Let me just that say my husband and I are people who will not return to an establishment if the service was poor, even if the food was great. The service from John was great and the food was amazing. It was pretty empty during lunch time on a weekday. Food quality is average. The Mediterranean salmon was done right but it was a little over seasoned with garlic. The quinoa didn't have much flavor but with a squeeze of lemon it was better. (It was pretty pricey for the quality so I wouldn't order it again). The wings for appetizers were great and they put like 10 wings which was enough a couple of people if you want to share. The popularity took over and the quality went down. On our most recent visit, we ordered a few items off the happy hour menu. It struck me to point out the pitfalls of these items. We ordered the Moo Shu Eggrolls(the center was a cold chicken breast) that was a waste of calories. Although the presentation looked tasty, the quality was ridiculously sub-standard. I'm guessing these eggrolls are made ahead of time and either in the fridge or frozen. Dropping them in piping hot oil still presented a frozen piece of chicken. I ordered boneless wings which came with a side dish of blue cheese. The boneless wings were limp and cold. The wife also pointed out her cold bone-in wings. Services was friendly. Great place for happy hours if you have kids with you. Yard house is very kids friendly even though this is a place that sells a beer in a yard size:) We were offered a table right away and she gave us the kids menu for the 10 years old. Happy hour is from M-F at 3-6. Half price of select apps and $2 off drinks. My favorite at all time was their signature Moscow mule. They have different flavors, you cant go wrong with that. The service was also great, our server let us know that he was getting ready to close his shift and introduced us to our new server, so we are not wondering where he was. Found this restaurant doing a Google search. It's located at Springfield Town Center f. k. a. Springfield Mall. This restaurant is very stylish and the ambiance is really chilled. There is enough seating and the booths are spacious enough to fall asleep in. The menu is what you call American fare. It has quite an extensive selection of food, at least to me it does. I had the Mu Shu Egg Rolls for my appetizer and the Nashville Hot Chicken for my entree. It came with sweet potato pancakes and several slices of pickles. I really enjoyed everything I ordered. Place is pretty decent. It's a pretty cool spot for casual hang outs and what not. The service was "meh". I was never offered water and the convo between myself and the bartender was just "what can I get you" and that was it. 5 minutes after taking my order, two other people sat next to me and the bartenders greeted them, offered waters, super talkative. ‍ After getting my order, that was it. No one asked me how everything was going or if I needed anything. I honestly came here for happy hour cause my friends raved about their happy hour. We ordered the California roll, calamari, jerk wings, firecracker wings, ham and pineapple pizza, nachos and sliders. California Roll - One of my faves. It is crispy rice stacked with cucumber, avocado, tomatoes, crab meat in a creamy sauce. Calamari - very light batter and crispy Jerk wings/Firecracker wings - the jerk wings were spicy and had a kick. I prefer the firecracker wings more because it had an Asian taste with the sesame seeds and little spicy. Ham and pineapple pizza - cheesy and gooey, sweet and salty from the ham and pineapple. So we tried again. I have positives and negatives. The positives are the queso was outstanding. The cheese is a mixture of white and yellow cheese. Hubby likes the little tortillas. This would benefit from a pico to break up the heavy. Beer- they have a pretty good selection of stout beer. They were out of the first two I asked for and the waitress brought me samples of 5 stouts. Here are some of my thoughts. -Firestone Merlin-smooth and good flavor no aftertaste. I liked this one and ordered a pint. -North Holland Dragon. This was really good kind of spice but still smooth. -Breck Vanilla - Yuck \ might be right with a shot of Kahlúa. Make and interesting mixed after dinner drink. The other two were bland and didn't have enough flavor to mention (breck and left hand something) Volcano tacos-much improvement from the first time. Would have been a better experience if they had not come out cold. Once fresh ones arrived they had a good flavor and were interesting. They had whole roasted garlic in them so bring a tooth brush if you have a meeting after. The rice and bean were edible. Note that these are greasy and heavy. Chicken sandwich- hubby didn't like this at all. He compared it to a big McDonald's chicken nugget. A processed patty with added garlic. He said he would prefer a chic filet sandwich over this one. Fries were good. Service-the nail in the coffin. Terrible service today. Started out good but went down hill when my food came out cold and hubbies was barely warm. Had to get up and ask someone for my check. I ate my meal with hubby all finished and all drinks on the table were empty with all the collective dinner dishes. Atmosphere-like the TVs and you could hear them. This place is great for beer and apps but I don't think we will try again for dinner. The beer and apps are really good. read more

Came in tonight with my daughter and her friend. We were sat right away. Literally had more staff than guest. Music was extremely loud. Sat for 10-15 min and was not greeted so we left. 2 managers and 4 servers walked by us multiple times and nothing. 80% of the staff look like they don't even want to be there. I have given up on Yard House. I feel bad saying that since their corporate office was so kind to me after my last review... but I will probably never step foot in this establishment again. There is almost always over an hour wait for a table for two-regardless of what time we have tried to get in. Plus the front desk staff is just rude. Add that to the fact that the bar is set up as a dinning area; so there isn't even space to get a drink unless you want to step over or around someone eating dinner. Which, by the way, makes waiting for a table the most boring hour(+) of your life ever! As I mentioned in my last review, their pagers don't go far enough to go to any of the stores in the mall. So what are you supposed to do for that wait? Stand around awkwardly and twiddle your thumbs? No thank you. After playing some games at Dave & Buster's we decided to drop by Yard House. We came in for an early dinner and the wait was about 30 mins for indoor seating. They also have outdoor seating. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted by the host. Unfortunately, the hostess at the counter wasn't all that friendly. Our server Megan was excellent. She was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable and patient. She checked on us during our meal and asked us if we were enjoying everything. Towards the end of our meal, the kitchen left us a little surprise in our dessert (not a good kind of surprise). I didn't want to make it a big deal, just thought I'd bring it to the kitchens attention so that it doesn't happen to other customers. Megan was so professional and quick to address it. Thank you Megan for being so great! There is plenty of indoor seating, they have bar seating as well. The restaurant gets packed quick though, especially on weekends. It was all hustle and bustle in here, with glassware hitting the floor left and right. We were a bit hesitant at first to try Yard House because of the 3.5 stars on Yelp but I'm glad we did. Everything we ordered from start to finish was delicious. I can't say we had a favorite from what we tried, since it was all seasoned well, came out fresh, and the portions were generous. Their drinks are amazing too. If you're into fruity drinks, their Sunkissed Sangria is the way to go. After hearing glowing reviews from several different people about Yard House, I just had to check out this new establishment at Springfield Town Center. **FYI: For those who have complained about the wait time, they do call ahead from Monday through Thursday to minimize your wait time. I would recommend calling an hour before you head there. I've been here twice so far and I'll have to say that I'm impressed. Their menu is extensive -- both the food options and the alcohol (they have 120+ different types of beer on draft!). The first time, the boyfriend and I dined here for dinner. We started off with the chicken nachos (delicious and big enough to share for 4 people) and the truffle fries (A+). The original entree I ordered was out of stock (sad face) and our server made a great recommendation for the ginger crusted salmon on top of wasabi mashed potatoes. The boyfriend ordered the lobster garlic noodles and he continued to rave about it for days after our meal. The service was top notch -- our server checked on us often and the manager also checked up on us. The second time, the girls and I had drinks at the bar. Each draft beer varies in cost -- but the prices aren't drastically different when it comes to domestic vs. imported beers. We ordered the mini peach apple cobbler and it was delicious on top of the caramel ice cream. The bartenders were friendly and attentive. So if you can't handle truffle oil I would advise you from not ordering this appetizer. The truffle mac and cheese comes with pieces of chicken and bacon. It seems like they make their own noddles for this dish. The noddles were super bouncy and fresh. So if anyone could verify that for me, that would be great! As far drinks go, order their Moscow mule. It is made from their house ginger beer. I have had the Moscow Mule at a lot of different locations.
