The food was excellent, and the portion sizes were very big. Unfortunately, the service we received from our server, Alexis, was disappointing and made us feel very uncomfortable throughout the meal. From the beginning, Alexis rushed us to order without any warm or courteous approach. It wasn't just me who noticed everyone at the table felt the same way. One of my friends ordered chicken fajitas and waited for the accompanying rice and beans, which never came. When we asked about it, Alexis simply said she forgot to put the order in and walked away no apology or attempt to correct the mistake. While we were still eating and talking, she dropped the check on the table without a word again, very unprofessional. It was our first time at this restaurant, and we genuinely wanted to enjoy the experience, but the attitude and lack of service really left a bad impression. To make things worse, although my boyfriend still tipped 22% out of courtesy and didn't want to go back there ever again. We liked the food, but the service was far below what we expected. This is a spacious and vibrant Mexican spot with a decent sized bar and ample patio space great for the warmer months. The menu features items like chicken quesadillas, guacamole, a variety of protein burrito options, and chicken and beef fajita options with prices ranging from $10-$23. The service was excellent the bartender was super helpful and attentive, and even though the food took a bit to come out he was consistent about providing updates on the status. I ended up ordering the taco salad with chicken and the chicken taco. The taco salad was solid really good portions of chicken, the chicken taco were decent but a bit lack luster as it seemed like the tortillas may have been a bit past their prime. Overall decent experience for the price point but wouldn't be my first recommendation in regards to tacos. read more

I understand that Cinco de Mayo is a busy night, and we were prepared for that. We were seated on the patio left side at a table directly behind a main door where servers were coming in and out. For the most part, staff were very mindful and we had no issues, except for one waiter who repeatedly pushed the door into one of the members in our party. The first time felt like an accident. The second time was questionable. By the third time, we said something because it was only him doing it, and at that point you'd expect some awareness of how hard he was pushing the door. Instead of apologizing or adjusting, he told us, "Okay, why don't you move to this other table because it's going to keep happening and you're just going to keep getting upset." He wasn't even our waiter, and the lack of accountability was disappointing. To be clear, our actual waitress Leeah was wonderful, and management handled the situation well. They were attentive and professional. The issue was solely with that one server's attitude and disregard. The only negative part of our experience was that one server's dismissive behavior. The chips come with salsa and some addictive, crack-like ranch dip. It's ridiculously good. My friend and I ordered grande swirl margaritas and damn are they good - a mix of frozen lime and strawberry margarita. Those suckers are so easy to drink. So easy! I got the steak burrito with the hatch chile sauce, which was massive! It comes with Mexican rice and refried beans, which I totally dig. Honestly, I've never had anything bad in the many times I've gone. Chuy's is my favorite. It's my go-to when I want Mexican food...which is pretty often I have not had a bad meal here. Nor have I ever had bad service. I've even ordered my birthday cake from here the past two years. My favorite is their enchiladas! It always comes out piping hot and the taste is consistent. Their frozen margaritas are also amazing. I recommend the swirl. And if you ask, they'll send you home with a bag of those amazingly fresh tortilla chips and their salsas. Writing this review is making me hungry for some Chuy's!! In Virginia this is as close as you will get to authentic Texmex style food. The chips and salsa are always top notch. (Ask for jalapeño crème sauce.) The Chicka boom boom enchiladas are amazing and full of flavor. Refried beans are sublime. Fajitas are great and very filling. The only three negatives are: they took away the happy hour Cadillac chips and salsa bar during COVID and never brought it back, they have absolutely no beer on draft, and their menu selections got smaller during COVID and the never brought items back on the menu. The white salsa is especially wonderful (Cilantro makes the dish). This restaurant is inside the mall. Our server was upbeat and absent much of our visit. He took a break without telling us. I was given a sauce with meat, even though I said I didn't want meat. There are several sauces that don't have meat. They are amazing. The "in your face" burrito is giant. Hubby enjoyed the Elvis dish. The chips are made on site and delicious. Two salsas are served with the basket of chips. The servers gladly give refills. My family used to love the Chuy's in Rockville. However, after they closed down a few years ago, we haven't gone as frequently. While visiting my cousin who works in the mall, I decided it was the perfect time to get my fix of the creamy jalapeno sauce and fresh chips. After years of not having Chuy's, it was just as amazing as I remember. Decided to give it another chance because the last time I came here (ABOUT A YEAR AGO) I got a stomach ache from the food. Well, this time I just walked in and the restaurant had endless old food, glasses and trash on every table except for one in the corner so we sat because the staff was friendly. Always stop at Chuy's when we visit and this time was just as good as past visits! I ordered takeout this time instead of eating in and got my regular - house special Elvis Presley Memorial Combo. I modified it a little for all 3 enchiladas as beef with tex mex sauce on all 3 of them and double rice and no beans. No problem requesting modifications. Food was absolutely delicious I could not even finish it all and saving it for lunch tomorrow I did not even take a picture of the taco that comes with it because I ate it too fast lol.
