Taco Bamba literally never disappoints!! This location is large with a bar and an extensive menu. My hubby loves it here and lucky for me!! We always order way too many tacos but never regret it because then we have a meal for later we cannot wait to eat again. The coco loco shrimp taco was to die for I wish we had gotten more of them. I might've actually been able to just eat those tacos. I always go and grab a few different specialty tacos that sound good and then split them with my hubby. The pastor (pork and pineapple) taco is a safe bet that I always have to order. The taco with the Chicharrones I've never seen was rly unique and the right amount of crunch and flavor. I really have to shout out the garlic wings!! I don't know if they have these at every location, but you absolutely must get them if you're at the Springfield location. The sauce in the mix of herbs together is amazing !! Oh and don't forget the sauce flight!! bonus points if you ask for the pineapple habanero sauce that they keep behind the cash register!! read more

Just a special thanks to the whole team tonight! It was the dinner rush and everyone was so kind to me and my kids. it was the most stressful moment for you and the end of the day for my two small, tired kids and customer service was non-negotiable for this team. I can't describe how much I appreciate this. Next time we visit, the tip will reflect this visit. Thank you for hiring these folks and for fostering an environment that enables them to see through the stress of a rush hour. read more

Happy Hour (4-7pm) Review on a Friday afternoon. Plenty of parking in shared parking lot. I didn't know they had a bar and was a sit down- I always thought taco bamba was a fast food, grab & go. But they have a bar and plenty of tables and table service! We got the classic margarita, mango faux-garita, and Paloma. My classic margarita had a gnat in it but they remade it...I don't think it was the same drink, but good nonetheless. The flautas were a little dry but the nachos and the other fries were delicious. We wanted to get the chocolate chip churro cookie but they were all out. Our waitress was the only one waiting tables and making drinks and running all over the place- all while keeping a smile on her face- hats off to her! Would return! Especially for happy hour! read more

Solid experience, plenty of menu items left to try and we will be back to give them a go. 4 Salsa options and great margarita flavors. We sat at the bar and got served, otherwise you order at the counter and pickup your meal at the counter. Bartender was prompt and efficient. Worth a visit! read more

The fill the bowl salad is such a hidden gem healthy salad. That's also delicious and full flavor service also usually on point and they are able to make your food so quickly. I would always recommend going a little bit earlier if you're getting the Carne Asada. read more

Food was good overall. The Bamba fries were the standout and full of flavor. The birria tacos were just okay for me since they used lamb and I personally prefer beef. The pollo al carbón taco was good and well seasoned. Ordering was a little confusing. There is a bar in the middle and the register is on the back right side. I was told to sit down and that my food would be brought out, but I ended up having to go grab it myself while solo dining and risking losing my table. I also skipped a margarita because the bar was very busy. Sports were on the TV though, which was a big plus. Overall a solid spot, just could use a clearer ordering flow. read more

In from Pittsburgh, working & gave this spot a shot. Got a couple Al Pastor Tacos (spiced pork & pineapple)..added chicken & shrimp & two Pescado Tacos (baja fish). Both on flour tortillas. They were the BOMB! Loved them. And they're sizable, so don't be thinking they're small. First class tacos. Start to finish. read more

BLUF: food, as usual, is awesome. This review centers on the drinks/cocktails I have been to Taco Bamba at least a hundred times, and have never found their food less than great. This last visit is the first one where my group bought drinks/cocktails, and we were kind of disappointed. Did they taste good? Yes, for sure. So the complaint? Well, a glass that is 95% ice, such that you have about two decent sips of your drink before it is gone and you are sucking on ice cubes. My father used to say you can tell an honest man because he makes an honest drink. I'm not saying Taco Bamba is dishonest, but the drinks were not satisfactory. We ordered a total of 5 drinks between us, and all but one were over-iced. I'll always go back for the food, but won't order drinks again. read more

Everyone to the front!! Taco Bamba has a cult following for a reason. Every taco I've ever had here has been amazing. If you're into margaritas ($7 during hh), the prickly pear one is delicious! Guac is consistent and the chips are pretty good if you get a fresh salty batch. Staff are friendly, the wait time for your tacos is average, and it's in a strip mall so parking can depend. The vibes are right and the music is flexible and fun. Pro Tip: don't park directly in front of the store. If the line at the chick fil a drive through gets backed up, you might get trapped. read more

I made an epic fail. I didn't take any photos. Simply scarfed these tacos down. Let me preface this with I drove two hours home before eating these tacos and they were still so good! I got 4 tacos for myself all vegetarian and 3 meat for my partner. Every single one was phenomenal. We are from the west coast and generally unimpressed by Mexican food out here. Came in the afternoon and this place was packed. The service was amazing and I got some affirmation from my server that I did in fact need to order all the tacos that I did haha. The vibe is so cool and I'd love to stop in the evening for some drinks. The patrons were spattered with regulars that said it was their favorite taco spot. One of my favorite things are the hot sauces. Every one is packed with flavor, spice, well balanced, and unique. We can't wait to come back and order half the menu. read more

Went to Taco Bamba for happy hour on Memorial Day and was not disappointed! $5 margs and delicious menu items are a great pairing for a fun afternoon hangout. Special shout-out to the bartender, William! He was so kind and made us feel right at home. The ambiance is very lively and a bit on the louder side. Also, be prepared to experience a warm temperature if dining in. Besides that, the restaurant is very clean and is well decorated. Will be back again! read more

Overall: fun menu, delicious food, fast-casual ambiance but with a bar You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. We've been to a bunch of Taco Bambas but it was packed the night we went to this location. They have traditional and specialty tacos. I always try three different specialty tacos and they never disappoint. They are all so fun and packed with balanced and fresh ingredients. Each menu seems to have a few tacos special to that location that are themed in a way representative of that location which is cute. I love their salsas and that they have a salsa bar. The bathrooms at this location were pretty gross and not well maintained when I was there. read more

Wow!!! In town for a couple days. Drove by last night and then looked up the reviews. VERY glad I stopped tonight. I asked the bartender for 3 tacos....her choice. She got me an uncle Junior, Carne Asada and Tinga taco. Got back to my room and inhaled! so good!!! read more

Great spot for a hangout with good vibes and drinks! Staff is very friendly with everything arriving quickly. The weekend I stopped by, it was packed with customers so seating was limited but nonetheless a good sign of a great atmosphere spot for gathering of friends. I was hungry so I decided to try their totes bomba which I definitely couldn't finish but the portion size was massive and the churros were that perfect crispy to soft ratio to satisfy the sweet palette. Ample parking is available in front of the restaurant and is among multiple businesses so depending on the weekend you stop by, parking lot can be busy during peak times. read more

Food service and ambiance are great. It is a little loud so be aware. I had a coco loco shrimp taco and 1 pollo carbon. They were both good. I'm not drinking alcohol atm, but everyone's drinks looked pleasing. read more

The short - they offer up a newer school take on both traditional and modern tacos that are delicious and fun. They also have a bar and fun drinks for days with sporting events going on. The service is pretty much self-serve after you order your food at the front counter (unless you're sitting at the bar). I love the casual, bar feel and the general ambiance of the Taco Bamba locations. They also offer regional specific tacos on their menu depending on which location you visit, which I think is a great touch. Most importantly, their food is good. All the tacos are generous in portion size and come with a medley of toppings and sauces that work really well together. They do a great job of combining flavors and cooking their proteins into a cohesive taco. Have yet to be disappointed with any of their locations. Great experience and would definitely recommend for some yummy tacos. read more

I'd give 10 stars if I could. I moved here seven months ago from the San Francisco, Bay Area, where tacos are king. Taco Bamba delivered not only fast service, but they knocked the tacos clean out of the park as far as taste and portion. I wasn't even expecting a full bar so to have a nice cold beer to wash down your tacos is epic. This place is not fine dining, it's just all about the great Mexican food, fresh salsa, and in-house made guacamole. My only complaint is that the hot sauce is white folks hot sauce, which is just not hot enough for me, but delivers and taste. read more

I came in here recently for dinner. I got two taco bambas (skirt steak, chorizo, grilled guacamole, cotija, pickled onion, pickled fresno, cilantro, chicharron), tortillas soup (chipotle braised chicken, avocado, chihuahua cheese), and a Modelo beer. As I recall the total was about $20.00. The tacos were small and inexpensive, so it is easy to customize youi meal size inexpensively. They seemed to close very early at 9:00. A place like this should close at 10 or 11. The food was good and the staff was friendly. read more

Food was not only wonderful, but also came out fast. The person who took our order was kind, funny, and was patient as I asked a slew of silly questions. Everyone seems in good spirits. Dining area and bathrooms were clean, decor was minimal. I got the pack the bowl - with a few modifications, and every accommodation was met. The food to price ratio was well worth it - plenty enough food to bring a good bit home. read more

Wasn't really feeling this visit at Taco Bamba. Service was terrible. And that should've been my sign to just go somewhere else... Hopefully you'll have a better experience than I had. I see they opened a store in Shirlington lol maybe I'll give that location a try...or maybe not since it's right across from Guapos! Happy Yelping!! read more

The new drink menu is popping! The frozen mescal mango margaritas are not only beautiful, but delicious! As always, the guacamole is fresh, the chips crispy and the tacos remain delicious! Service is still quick and timely and the bar has the best seats in the house to catch a game on the weekends. The atmosphere is friendly and has a neighborhood friendly vibe. Happy hours are from 4-7 with plenty of specials to be had. read more

Taco bamba always hits. They're fresh and decently sized. 3 tacos gets me full most of the time. Just a great go to for tacos.

Camaron Baja Shrimp Tacos are always a fresh flavored goto. I always come and order 3 with a shot of tequila and it always hits the spot. Taco Bamba has never failed me. On a Saturday afternoon the line may be a bit long but it's worth it and the line goes fairly quickly. Birria Tacos are great as well. Sauce is very good! Always great to wash it down with a Jarritos soda. read more

I've had ups and downs here over the years...food always good, just varying service. Breakfast - be ready to wait. Staff has historically been slow moving in the AM. Today, we went for happy hour. Bartender was helpful, efficient, and generous. Happy hour prices were great. Definitely recommend if you need a fun date night that won't break the bank but still has flavors dialed up to 10. Enjoy! PS - shrimp and fish tacos never disappoint...but neither do any of the other tacos. Have fun! Try 3! read more

Ambiance: (3/5) There is great seating. The music is so loud I couldn't think. Also, it was so hot that I could sit for more than 15 mins. Price: (4/5) Prices are average for the area. Food: (4/5) The BEC empanada was really good. The sauce on the side really helped add flavor. I wish the actual empanada was seasoned better. The breakfast taco was also really good. It is well seasoned with a great variety of toppings. Service: (5/5) Food came out quick and staff was very nice. read more

Always liked taco bamba one of the better taco places in dmv. Everything was good but my advice would be to get dirty style which they add extra dollar to each taco and I recommend only get dirty style to only half your order. I love cheese but 4 tacos all dirty style was just too cheesy. Everything was hitting but pescado was my least favorite. I usually love fish tacos but this one just had too much fishy taste to it. I love their hot sauce but i will stick to my OG spot in fairfax everuthing in my opinion was better in that location. read more

My boys and I come here every Friday for food and drank and we LOVE it every time!!! Bailey the bartender is goated at making spicy margs

I had this place saved as a place to try and wanted to eat some tacos so I came here for dinner. It was busy and quite crowded when I arrived. I sat at the bar and ordered shrimp tacos, elote and chips and queso with ground beef. The shrimp tacos were ok but tasted a bit dry. I think it needed more sauce. The elote was good. The queso was too oily and greasy when mixed with the ground beef. My server was nice which I appreciated, but I would try a different menu item in the future and come when it's less crowded. Plus the music was a bit loud so it was hard to have a conversation with my friends. read more

I swear Taco Bamba never disappoints me whether you eat in or get take out. We've been coming to this location for the last 2 years and we are always happy with our tacos. Ordered online for pickup. Sooooo easy! Great website. Arrived to a busy restaurant! Ample parking in back-Great location in corner of strip mall, lots of windows. Very bright and clean, employees came out to wipe tables and restock frequently. Our order was perfect, included one of every sauce they offer. My favorite is the Taquera (medium). I think the food is very reasonably priced. We always get the quesadilla with corn tortilla substitute bc my son is gluten free. It's a huge order with literally 2 packed quesadillas so I always put 1 away for later. I get a basic single taco, today it was grilled fish and it's very satisfying. Good music, not too loud. (University Mall is always blaring.) Very pleasant and hardworking employees. Looking forward to our next visit! read more
