Kind of an all around bummer. The restaurant is very clean. They have moved to kiosks which can be hard to navigate as they make certain things tough. For example, if you order 3 tacos, all tacos must have the same toppings or you'll have to order them individually. There is little to no veggie option that doesn't cost additional $$. The Coke freestyle machine was flat. Half of the drinks were greyed out. The staff were in dinner rush and couldn't get to it for a while at which point, I returned my drink and went with water for my meal. We did have a strange thing where we got jalapeños as a topping on a quesadilla but it was on the side.

Our first visit to District Taco in West Springfield was positive. I remember the Capitol Hill store from some years ago. Ordering is easy at the self-service kiosks. I like the three taco option, for which you can customize your protein, add-ons (we chose the Jefe option here), and sauce. We ordered carry-out and included guacamole and queso sides. At night the ambiance was a very brightly lit space. It's probably better during daylight hours. The food was good and we will be back.

Honestly surprised at the low ratings of this place. I had tried District Taco maybe twice in DC and in Falls Church and I would agree that it was nothing special from first impression. But ever since the Springfield location opened, I have been able to go here more frequently and my girlfriend and I enjoy this spot a lot. The food is a good alternative to Chipotle honestly. Ingredients feel more fresh here, however, I will say that the bowls they use are huge so the portions just seem small - and sometimes they can leave for more to be desired. But the flavor usually is satisfying. I personally just get bowls and have tried a quesadilla and it was pretty good. Their fresh made Guacamole everyday is to die for. Best guacamole I've ever had. In terms of ambience, the lighting is a bit much.. the lights are so bright - I'd order takeout or delivery if you are high. But other than that, I usually walk in and order on the kiosk and the nice staff have my order out within 5-10 minutes!

No way 2.5 stars. More like at least 4 or maybe higher. My Fish Tacos were really good and didn't fall apart. They loaded them up too and all fresh ingredients. Guacamole was 5 stars and the chips weren't as salty as other competitors. Server was as nice and courteous. Ambiance had some great tunes and clean tables.

It is a casual restaurant that offers seating for dine in, but mostly does take out. Lots of high-top tables. You can place an order at the front counter or use one of their kiosks. The staff were friendly, and the service was pretty quick. I ordered the build your own tacos and was disappointed with the cold and salty tacos. I'm not sure if they typically do not warm/heat up their flour or corn tortilla since I haven't tried their other franchise.

It was close to Green Spring Gardens, a place we were visiting nearby. I noticed immediately that you made orders on a touch screen kiosk and typed in the number on a restaurant pager buzzer to alert you when your food was ready. We signed up for points on our order with Taco Rock by giving my email address and earned a $2 off reward on our first order to use that day. We ordered takeout - 6 lengua tacos. I sat at the bar and was served an iced water without realizing it. The bartender asked what I was ordering, so I decided to sample the happy hour classic margarita for $6. It was fancy for a $6 Margarita with a toasted lime on it. Delicious. I was impressed at how courteous and efficient the bartender was at her job. I needed the iced water without realizing it being dehydrated from my outdoor walk. The takeout order was ready to go in ten minutes or less. There was a prep area for taco sauces. I got a few to go sauces. The tacos were spicy and had some thinly cut peppers in them. It was too spicy in one bite I had of a taco. Yet they were the best lengua tacos I had in this area. Definitely would come back here again and try more items on their men

Dropped in a few weeks ago for the first time and sat at the outdoor bar. There was some huge soccer game so they were busy, but didn't forget about us. I ordered from the server computer thing and went across the board with the gringo, fried grouper and pollo tacos. Plain Jane enough but I'm a plain Jane kind of white guy. Idk if it was the captain and cokes but my wife and I went back for 3rds, and she went in for the ceviche. I'm telling you that alone rivaled anything I've had overseas, and after 6 years in LA trolling just about every taco joint there, Taco Rock could hold their own against anything in Cali. We actually ordered a huge catering package when we had some friends over this weekend and they didn't disappoint. They forgot a few things (there was a ton of it) but sent a guy straight away to drop it off. One of the better places I've been to in years.

I was really looking forward to those margaritas; coco and sangarita. Wasn't meant to be today I guess. Disappointed Dad. It's ground‑level from the parking lot, so no climbing Mount Everest just to get a taco. The parking lot is small, but they do have handicap spots, so points for accessibility. There are large menu screens everywhere, and if you've aged like a fine bottle of wine (or just drink a lot of it), you'll appreciate how big and easy to read they are. They also have a couple of handheld menus at the counter. Seating is minimal with metal tables and chairs, so if you're a diva, bring your donut cushion. I ordered the Carnitas and pork belly, both sold as sides. The pork belly sits under a warmer at the counter, daring you to stay committed to that Weight Watchers plan. It's sold by the pound, and my piece came to $4.80. I almost put it back, but I'm pretty sure there's an unwritten rule about not returning food you've already mentally claimed. Even the cashier said, "Oof, that's pricey," but listen I liked it, and I'd pay it again. The half‑pound Carnitas for $7.99 were delicious and worth every penny. My foodie partner ordered the fried chicken plate. Medium comes with fries; large comes with rice and salad. I tasted her large plate the seasoning was on point, the chicken leaned toward being a little dry, but not enough to stop me from wanting to shake those tail feathers. There were no beans, but there was a gravy that they served with it that made me not need the beans. The portion sizes are pretty big- more than I can eat at a setting.
