Kind of an all around bummer. The restaurant is very clean. They have moved to kiosks which can be hard to navigate as they make certain things tough. For example, if you order 3 tacos, all tacos must have the same toppings or you'll have to order them individually. There is little to no veggie option that doesn't cost additional $$. The Coke freestyle machine was flat. Half of the drinks were greyed out. The staff were in dinner rush and couldn't get to it for a while at which point, I returned my drink and went with water for my meal. We did have a strange thing where we got jalapeños as a topping on a quesadilla but it was on the side.

Our first visit to District Taco in West Springfield was positive. I remember the Capitol Hill store from some years ago. Ordering is easy at the self-service kiosks. I like the three taco option, for which you can customize your protein, add-ons (we chose the Jefe option here), and sauce. We ordered carry-out and included guacamole and queso sides. At night the ambiance was a very brightly lit space. It's probably better during daylight hours. The food was good and we will be back.

Honestly surprised at the low ratings of this place. I had tried District Taco maybe twice in DC and in Falls Church and I would agree that it was nothing special from first impression. But ever since the Springfield location opened, I have been able to go here more frequently and my girlfriend and I enjoy this spot a lot. The food is a good alternative to Chipotle honestly. Ingredients feel more fresh here, however, I will say that the bowls they use are huge so the portions just seem small - and sometimes they can leave for more to be desired. But the flavor usually is satisfying. I personally just get bowls and have tried a quesadilla and it was pretty good. Their fresh made Guacamole everyday is to die for. Best guacamole I've ever had. In terms of ambience, the lighting is a bit much.. the lights are so bright - I'd order takeout or delivery if you are high. But other than that, I usually walk in and order on the kiosk and the nice staff have my order out within 5-10 minutes!

No way 2.5 stars. More like at least 4 or maybe higher. My Fish Tacos were really good and didn't fall apart. They loaded them up too and all fresh ingredients. Guacamole was 5 stars and the chips weren't as salty as other competitors. Server was as nice and courteous. Ambiance had some great tunes and clean tables.

It is a casual restaurant that offers seating for dine in, but mostly does take out. Lots of high-top tables. You can place an order at the front counter or use one of their kiosks. The staff were friendly, and the service was pretty quick. I ordered the build your own tacos and was disappointed with the cold and salty tacos. I'm not sure if they typically do not warm/heat up their flour or corn tortilla since I haven't tried their other franchise.

Good taco shop, got a salad with chorizo, not sure about the low reviews, easy order kiosks, I'll be back.

For starters we chose the Trio Dip. It includes queso, salsa and guac. The chips are fresh and they do provide a nice big portion($12). I ordered 2 tacos that were filled with lots of protein. The kids ground beef tacos were too spicy for my kids. At first bite it isn't bad but as you chew the spices intensify. We ordered corn dog for my toddler and the meal was cold. My wife ordered the chicken enchiladas and the rice was hard and crunchy as though it was sitting out for a long time. I was upset because the weather is perfect today. They had the wall open. The ambience is awesome here. Great decor, no dinner rush, music was perfect. I was hoping we were going to discover a new local favorite. I was really looking forward to those margaritas; coco and sangarita. Wasn't meant to be today I guess. Disappointed Dad. Robecks Juice bar next door for the rescue with outside patio seating available too.

Super fresh and full of flavor -- definitely a highlight! The deli has a cozy little seating area, which is great if you wanna chill and enjoy your food. Not the friendliest or fastest, but hey... worth it if you're not in a rush. Would I go back? For the juice and snacks -- absolutely. For the tacos? Maybe, if I'm already nearby.

I ordered tacos de lengua without onions, but they came with onions anyway. When I brought it up, both the cashier and the Lady with glasses running the expo line showed zero empathy or professionalism. This isn't just about onions--it's about respect. As a loyal customer, I expect to be heard. I may still come back, because I truly enjoy the food, but I really hope management and ownership takes this seriously and provides proper training in customer service. No one should be made to feel dismissed or ignored.

I activated full stalker mode--I did drivebys and peeked in the windows. Most of my trips back to the DMV were either quick or so jampacked that I haven't had a chance to return to Barcroft Plaza. The halal and organic menu features chimichangas, tacos, burritos, bowls, and salads. You can choose from meat, shrimp, or grilled veggies. First, I grabbed chips, guacamole, and queso (yes, two dipping sauces--we listen, and we don't judge). Both were good, but I enjoyed the queso more, and it was even better as leftovers the next day. One of the things that I must try at a Mexican restaurant is birria, which I read was only available on Tuesdays and Sundays (I learned later that this is true for all locations except Barcroft). Babe, the birria was so tender and made with their handmade corn tortillas. The melty cheese tacos and the unami consommé have my stamp of approval. Per my nutritionist's instructions, I grabbed veggie tacos for a more balanced meal.
