To start out, they would not give us a larger table we asked for, despite another group (less amount of adults & kids) sitting at the same table style we asked for. The table we requested stayed empty the entire time while we were cramped at a too small table. Secondly, the waitress, though nice, forgot one persons order, forgot a pizza, and took long times to check in on us. She pretended like she hadn't forgot the pizza, brought us the wrong one, and still charged us for it. It was meant to be an appetizer but we only got it at the END of our meal...didn't even ask if we still wanted it. The food was fine, but nothing special. Her attitude was very spunky which makes great for customer service We ordered the cheese curds and tenders which were delicious. I especially loved their French fries which were very crispy. This place is a great spot to hit up for a meal or to chill after work. Good vibes, sports on the TVs, a little loud, but classic bar atmosphere. Each table has a touch screen to place orders or to turn on a blinking red light to call over a server, along with some games to play. Service is pretty fast and our server came by frequently to check in on us (thanks, Ana!). We came for the Happy Hour deals (see picture) and ordered the Blackened Ahi Sashimi, Fried Calamari, Poke Nachos, lemon pepper boneless wings, and a carnivore pizza (forgot to get a picture of the wings and pizza, unfortunately). The plates are pretty big so we struggled a bit to make room for everything as they came out. The food is decent; pretty standard for bar food but worth it for the Happy Hour deal. For drinks, my wife got the Ace Pineapple cider and I got a Weihenstephaner Hefe Weissbier (wheat beer) and they were both great. Took me a while to decide because the drink list is massive. Might get the cider next time though, haha. Between the two of us we probably would have been good with 4 dishes instead of 5 because we were pretty stuffed and had a decent amount left to take home. I went with my friend to hang out and to watch the New Mexico State football game that he gambled on to make him nervous and see what this place is about. Looks like the locals frequent this place and the servers / waiters/bartenders are very attentive . There must be 40 people who work here. It does not seem like it takes long for them to get you your food. I was feeling like I needed to carb up so I had chicken nachos and Mac and cheese which was just heavenly. I will be back. I enjoyed my first time at yard house . This was the one in Glenview. I ordered the 20 ounce ribeye and my friend had the cilantro lime chicken. Both dishes were good. They had a lot of selections on the menu and everything seem good to me! I ordered a mocktail , PIÑA SPRITZ.. price range at this place is just a tad pricey on food and drinks .. but I definitely will be back to try other dishes. It was after 3 pm when we got there so it was Happy Hour. Sliders had a bad oil taste as well as hard cartilage in meat, weird. Hmmm, not sure what the recent spat of poor reviews here was about, but our first return here in about 5.5 years was mighty fine.  I was planning on returning here despite the reviews anyway, because like most places, you just have to check it out for yourself, and we've always had good experiences here. Tonight, I was pleased with the service, dining environment, food quality and value, and we (party of 5 this time) had our usual excellent outing here. For beer, I had a 23 oz pub glass serving of Surly Brewing Todd the Axe Man IPA (6.5% ABV) for $9.49.  That's a decent value per ounce.  One of my dining mates had a 16 oz serving of the same for $7.29.  Service was friendly, competent, and efficient as it always has been for us.  We all shared a couple of appetizers - calamari ($13.49) and a Cali roll stack (13.99).  The calamari was on the skimpy side but delicious and the Cali roll stack was like a giant crab roll and the better appetizer.  We then had these 5 entrees, and they were all generously sized and also delicious: - fish (pollock) and chips , $18.49 (mine) - cilantro lime chicken, $20.49 - sesame crusted ahi x 2, $24.99 each - lobster garlic noodles, $25.99 Appearing at about 75% capacity, the dining room was vibrant and also on the loud side.  This is The Glen and there were several families with kids but Yard House has always been a family friendly place that also happens to serve 137 beers (not just 130 per our server Sean).  At damages settlement time, I liked the newish electronic gizmo that had our detailed bill on a digital screen and a sliding scale for the gratuity that I could be very precise with!  The patio was still open but I understood it will be shutting down in mid August due to server shortage.  Also, as a Pro-Tip:  it doesn't say on the website, as it only mentions a same day waitlist option, but you can still call here the old fashioned way for a reservation.  Thank you Yard House for another nice outing! read more

Kale and romaine salad: the portion is pretty good for the price. I love that the tomatoes were variety of colors. I also love the contrasting burst of sweetness from the golden raisins. There was a bit too much dressing in the salad, but overall it's not a bad salad. Nashville Hot chicken sandwich: I love love love this sandwich. It was perfectly crunchy and yet still juicy. The cabbage slaw cut through all the fried chicken. The flavoring on the chicken itself was notes of sweetness and savory. Though for a Nashville hot, it's not even that spicy. We had we had out of state friends. Who've never been at lazy dog and the manager Matt came and gave us free chips and dip. Diana was our server. She was very efficient and friendly. They have a separate section on their menu just for Gardein based foods. Highly recommend the Gardein Nashville hot sandwich if you are vegetarian. The selection of beers is amazing. We like sampling their beer flight, but they have other beverages as well like margaritas and mojitos. Yard house has been a go to before catching a movie at the Glen for years. They are consistently good. We always find something both of us like. My current favorite is the Steak Bowl, a yummy combination of Asian vegetables, brown rice and quinoa topped with chunks of perfectly cooked steak. So good! Service is stellar. Micha was our server, but there were many folks tending to our needs for the time we were there. The selection of beers is large, and there are vegetarian offerings and a gluten sensitive menu. This place is a large room with an oval bar in the center, with over 100 beers on tap. Most of the beers are from domestic and international Micro breweries. This is great for the average uninformed beer drinker. They do have a sampler platter (but they choose the beers) or you can order a yard of beer. There are a few good craft beers available. I had the Three Floyds Alpha King which hit the spot. Their menu has a large selection most of which are well prepared. For my Main, I had the whiskey and aged white cheddar burger with fries. All burgers are prepared to order. My burger was very hot and juicy...cooked to perfection. Prices are a little steep, but I think you're also paying for the atmosphere. My gal pals and I visited a few days ago for their happy hour special which is Mon-Fri from 3-6 pm. Their deals are wonderful, several of their appetizer items are half off with many deals on their drinks. It was very filling for an amazing price. We had the fried calamari, the classic sliders, poke nachos, Margherita pizza, and spinach dip. My favorite was definitely the calamari and poke nachos. I had the smoked pink dragon to drink, and although it wasn't my favorite, the presentation was breathtaking. My gal pals had the Malibu Peach and Dragonfruit Cosmo, which they both enjoyed. We ended with the brookie which was absolutely delectable. It was the perfect dessert to end the night. Everything was fantastic, from the staff to the food, the whole experience definitely makes me want to go again! My two toddlers were very hungry after a long day and their food came out super fast! Our server Nicole was super nice and accommodating to our kids it was really nice to see. She also agreed with the drink was I was looking at, some refreshing alcoholic drink and it was a hit. And she gave me enough time to really think about what I wanted to eat and it was just perfect- the sweet and spicy shrimp and noodles. It was delicious!!! And my husband chose the cilantro and lime chicken and it was the best chicken breast I've ever had at a restaurant! I dont frequent this place as much as i liked. Hopefully that changes in the future. We had a party of 18. We were there when the kitchen was abt to close and their service was great. I ordered their Spicy Jambalaya and i loved it. So perfect. The amount of spice and seafood and sauce is perfect. I would go back just for this and of course their truffle fries. I could eat this non stop. Its so good and flavorful. Their Bone in Rib Eye was good too. My cousins and bro in law ordered it and it has good flavor and really tender. It also came with some veggies and a good amount of mash potatoes. My sister had the Lobster Garlic Noodle. I took a picture but i wasnt able to ask how it was. I guess i would have to try it myself next time. I liked that we could just pay for what we ordered individually. Their system made it so easy to split the check. Good food and low prices for Glenview. You definitely need to make reservations in advance or you will wait for 45 minutes or more to get a table. When I went there it was my birthday celebration so everyone had a good time. The fried calamari were great. The Kale Caesar salad was huge so we all had some, same with nachos, burgers, etc. We all shared the food and still had leftovers to take home. For all the food and beverages for 6 people it was only $186 not including tip. I think that was such a bargain for a Chicagoland restaurant. We used to love Yard House for their firecracker Gardein wings and the we have not back since. Today felt like the flavors of their menu are gone. We ordered the following: Pretzel Korean chilli Gardein wings Thai lettuce wraps Gardein Kids Mac and cheese Tomato basil bisque The cheese for the pretzel sauce was bitter and we could not get past that. The kids Mac and cheese lacked any flavor so kids didn't enjoy it. Tomato basil bisque was pretty good along with the lettuce wraps. Those were the only 2 dishes that were enjoyed. By the family. I've been a frequent customer of Yard House locations all over the US. I like that I can get a hard-to-find Belgian beer on draft, happy hour prices are reasonable and their food is usually good. This time, however, I'm just irritated that they've taken appetizers I like off the 1/2 price happy hour menu and they fried my calamari into oblivion. To be clear, the place still has good service and attention from the manager. And they replaced my calamari with another portion that wasn't turned into burned squid chips. But why in the world did they take the onion ring tower off the discounted appetizers? And based on the texture of the sliders, fries, and calamari, I think they're using cheaper grades of food. Portion sizes are also definitely smaller than even a year ago...a single tuna fish can probably make several hundred seared ahi plates with the few slices they give you now. I'd advise future customers that have a pre-pandemic reference point to see if they agree with my observations and give feedback to the manager when they come around. They also have those damn Zoosk consoles on the table that make the servers harder to find and turn the dining experience into something more like Uber Eats or a game of Pac-man than a social event. But there's a survey where you can give feedback on your experience when you pay on the console. read more

It was ok. Our server was fine, and the food was ok, but nothing that knocked me out of the park. My partner had the roast beef dip, and he said it was good. He liked the onion rings a lot, and said they were better than he's had in a long time. My meal was not really memorable. Parking is tricky, though I think they may have a valet on weekends. But it's in the middle of a shopping center, so there are other stores and restaurants competing for parking. It's also a sports bar, so it's really, really loud. To the extent that we couldn't talk without having to raise our voices considerably. I was in the area so went, but would probably pick a different place if I was around later and certainly wouldn't make a special trip there. read more

It's been sometime since we've been to Yardhouse but I can honestly say, we've never had a bad experience. We all ordered drinks and delicious food and my oh my, our experience was just phenomenal! For appetizers, we had the poke nachos and the calamari. The poke nachos were so good and the tuna was fresh and spicy! Super yum! The calamari was served piping hot, toasty and crunchy. The cocktail sauce and tartar sauce were robust, sweet and tangy...perfect compliment to the calamari. Our dishes were all over the place but every single one of them were flavorful! My bf had the BBQ bacon cheddar burger with a side of truffle fries. He said the burger was juicy and the bacon was crunchy. He also said the BBQ sauce the burger was smothered in was tasty. My mom has the Mediterranean salmon while I had the Whiskey glazed salmon. Oh my goodness! My mom said her salmon was so flaky, cooked to perfection and flavorful. While I am not normally a sweet person, my salmon was perfect! The glaze was a little bit sweeter than I would have liked but regardless, I loved that they put the glaze sauce on the side so that it'd be easier to control. My salmon was flaky and the glaze was sweet but savory. Lastly, my father got the spicy jambalaya and he couldn't stop raving about it. It came with rice and he said it was delectable! Our waiter, Mitchell, was honest to God, one of the best servers we've had in a while. He was sweet, kind and attentive. Whatever we asked for, he got. Whatever we needed, he got without even being asked. At the time we went, it was around lunch time so it was busy.
