This was a five star experience from beginning to end. We entered, were seated immediately and the server was at our table before we even sat own. Drinks were at the table just as quick. Ordered the calamari appetizer. I enjoyed the two dipping sauces. For the entree I chose the Nashville Hot Chicken and my dining partner chose a lobster pasta dish. Both were delicious. Portions were generous. 100% recommend that you visit here!

Love the happy hour option on weekdays, 3-6pm which includes $2 off cocktails and 1/2 off select appetizers and pizza... ... though many of the apps are underwhelming. The chicken nachos don't taste as good as they used to, and the pizzas are extremely thin crust. The toppings on the carnivore pizza are too much for the crust and don't hold up. The 2 apps I would get on repeat are the crispy Brussel sprouts and the cheese curds. My husband's shrimp and chicken pasta was tasty on our last visit, and the Mediterranean veggie burger was A-OK. Tasted like chickpeas, garlic, and onion, but needed a little more mayo or sauce. The side house salad was bland, and the carrots were browning and on their last leg. To end on a high note, our waiter Julius was very attentive and speedy. The complimentary birthday (half) brookie was a hit for my now 9 year old, and thanks Julius for joining in on the singing! Always a fun atmosphere here, and something on the menu for everyone. Easy garage parking nearby.

This was a very busy and happening spot when we stopped by one evening. There were plenty of people enjoying the outdoor tables but we sat inside at a booth. This is a large space and there were lots of people dining inside too. The menu is quite extensive (food + drinks) and I had a shrimp appetizer (very tasty) and we split truffle fries (nothing special). Our food came out quickly, our server was friendly, and I liked that you could pay via tablet at the table.

We met at the Yard House in Glen View for a birthday party of my wife's coworkers. The House has potential for a place to celebrate and have drinks. It's very large on the inside with plenty of tvs playing and drinks pouring. The Malibu Peach drink I had was delicious and the taste did feel like a vacation as the category it is placed under. The food however was not all that great. I had shiitake garlic noodles and was disappointed with the flavor. The mushroom or garlic flavors did not come through on a dish that should have been very savory, but much of it was degraded by something sweet that was added. Miguel's queso dip was a little better than the noodles. It was hot, rich, gooey, and came with plenty of chips and tortillas. If I came back here it would not be for the food, but maybe the drinks and lively atmosphere perhaps.

I'm sorry today for the rating I feel I have to give. The service? 4-5 stars. Attentive waiter. Quick service. The food? I'm so disappointed. Cheeseburger 2 stars. Medium cook, but zero flavor. None. The tomato was bland. The onion is some kind of super thin paper curls with no flavor. No seasoning on the burger. It was my least fav burger. The Parmesan truffle burger my daughter had was the same way. We both had truffle fries. Needed salt. The bbq chicken salad unfortunately didn't have much bbq sauce or chicken in it. I just remember when the food was 5 stars. The sauces were excellent. Even the angry orchard on tap had this bad taste. Anyway. We will come back eventually because the waiter and I did talk, and there's been some shift in staffing, chef is new. But guys, this can kill a business that was so popular. Thanks for the great service. Wish the food was better.

Yard house does not disappoint. I went recently on a Friday for their happy hour and their service is quick and attentive. I love their poke nachos and getting them during happy hour is a steal!

Went in on a Saturday night at 5:30, greeted by friendly hostess and seated immediately! Server came by asked if we'd like water , and them took our drink order. We were waiting on a 3rd guest , and he noticed we had birthday gifts and flowers and he asked if we wanted to have the comp bday dessert delivered to her at end ! Very nice he noticed and suggested with out us asking! I had filet mignon with carrots , asparagus & parm mashed taters! It was amazing! Daughter had a pineapple chicken dish she loved it & our guest had truffle fries , brussel sprouts and chicken lettuce wraps , she loved as well! Sever was amazing with refills and table clearing! Really enjoyed. It was a lil loud so if you want quiet not the place , but amazing food.

The Yard House came in clutch when needing some tasty food in the middle of a snowstorm. The cozy interior was super inviting - along with our awesome server- he totally made our experience here at Yard House a perfect Valentine's Day choice! I opted for a delicious, Smokey mezcal cocktail- so yummy I ordered a second! He ordered a pineapple cider- which he loved. Not too sweet, not too sour! The cheese curds were battered perfectly, and one of his favorites. The chicken fingers were tender & juicy, and the side of sweet potatoes fries were the perfect side dish! He wouldn't stop raving about how delicious the house cheesesteak tasted. We were served freshly dipped chocolate strawberries as a complementary side for the holiday. What a perfect ending! I know this is a chain restaurant- it's against our "code" to dine at one when we travel- but Yard House was totally worth it! Give them a try!

The chicken tenders were very moist and my friends pizza was excellent. Service was excellent. I had a Belgium golden beer and it was served ice cold. Delicious!! My friend had 1 of the 3 sours and she felt the same way as I about hers.

We love this place. Continues to be good for a casual dinner. Easy to get in or get on the waiting list and walk around the glen until the table is ready. Love the vast drink menu especially with so many beers on tap. I had the grilled chicken sandwich again which is always good and i love that they'll sub a gardein for just about anything. Husband got the hot honey fried chicken with pancakes which I've also had before. A little spicy for me but good.

I think Yardhouse is always a solid restaurant option. The menu has a wide variety without being overly huge. My husband and I started by sharing the queso which was great! It's a pretty large portion though! I like that they serve it with both small tortillas and chips. Then for our meal we split the chicken & avocado sandwich and the whiskey & aged cheddar burger. Both were good options! I also upgraded my side to the Parmesan truffle fries. My husband and I are not drinkers, but if you are then they have tons and tons of beer options! The staff are all very friendly and service is fairly quick as well! Our server was great at bringing us a drink refill before our first was even finished. It's a comfortable place too if you need somewhere to go watch a game!

Every time we come here the food is always cooked to perfection. The burgers are great and have a really good flavor. The wings are perfectly sized, sauces, and crispy! Excellent with their ranch. The tacos are a hit - I've done the carne asada and leave me craving for more And of course the beer and cocktail selection is on point. Come on down! Great service and ambiance too!

I tied Yard House for the first time tonight - I was pretty impressed! They have over 100 beers available so if you're into beer, you're going to love it here - any style you like from lights to imperial. I tried the fried calamari for my food, it was pretty tasty - hot, fresh and came with 2 dipping sauces. Our server was also very friendly. I went on a weekday night and it was busy, so just note if you're going on a prime night like a Friday or Saturday you may have a wait for a table. Overall, great experience - recommend for foodies and beer lovers!

On a weekday evening, as expected, the restaurant was not busy.  We were promptly seated at a 4-top table (2 × 2-top) against the right wall, with some other 2-tops on both sides.  Like many reviewers had mentioned, the venue was beautiful, modern and chic. There were 7 tables occupied, including us.  The music that they had was not too loud, just that customers' conversations were amplified by the box shape open dining area.  If we focused enough, we could hear every conversation if we wanted to.  This was obvious when a table of about 6 women got seated at a table near the front door, some of them laughed and talked very loudly.  My husband and I just found it funny and didn't let that bother us.  However, when the restaurant is filled on busier days, it might be a different story. Our server, Patrick, was very nice and attentive.  Since they did not list drinks on their menu except those with alcohol, I asked him about non-alcoholic drinks.  After a brief "discussion", he asked me to leave it to him to make me a drink with mango.  He came up with a beautiful drink that was good and refreshing, with some mango flavor.  It was Virgin Paloma on our receipt for $8, which was reasonable.  He was very polite and checked in on us several times at appropriate times during our dinner.  The pace of the dinner was good, we spent a total of an hour and 15 minutes in the restaurant. Patrick might be the only waiter serving all the tables that evening, though. I also ordered Grilled Octopus ($22) which was very good, tender and flavorful, but was a little too salty to my taste.  The small pita bread wedges were warm and fluffy with some crispy edges, the beet hummus was creamy, and everything was delicious and tasted fresh.  I generously shared 2 little bites of octopus with my husband and I finished the entire plate, it was so good!  My husband really liked his Spiked White Fish ($29) and I shared a bite of that too.  He also had a House Salad for $6, that was a very good value.  He enjoyed a glass of Sauvignon Blanc Crossing ($12) too.  We also shared an order of Crème Brulee ($8), that was creamy and cooked perfectly.  We ordered a takeout order of Rigatoni with Sausage ($23), that was a good portion, and was still delicious and al dente the next day after being microwaved. I am so happy that we found Social Inn - a hidden gem in Plaza del Prado, it's not far from home, with comfortable and beautiful ambiance, excellent service (from Patrick), an attractive menu with enticing food (fresh ingredients and appealing plating), and reasonable prices, we will definitely be back!

We were in the area late in the day and remembered Social Inn was open, so we went. We ordered a variety of items. I did order my burger medium and it was delivered well done, but it was still good. They also have one of the best gluten-free buns I've ever had. I do wish they were open at lunch time still, but I understand they need to be open for their busiest hours. Social Inn is a great option when you are in the Glenview area.

Established (as the wall told me) in 1936, I expected "Polish" to be in menu alone...and I was wrong. The gal behind the bar had an accent. Loud (but not too loud) and boisterous. I read some other reviews talking about rude regulars: rubbish. Chicago is loud and direct. If you don't like that vibe, the shoulders in this city may just be a little too broad for you. The pierogi and the pyzy were great, both served with sour cream. The beers, while not draft, had a wide, Euro-leaning selection but still respected some local favorites (Old Style). Good food. Good folks. Confusingly brilliant ambiance. There isn't a parking lot, but there seems to be a lot of street parking around and I found a spot mere steps from the restaurant. The place has a old world charm with lots of dark wood and warm feelings. When you enter, there's a room to the left hosting a nice sized bar area which made me immediately think of the bar area from Cheers. The place was full and they seemed like regulars from the neighborhood. I saw someone come in and thought I heard the place yell out, "NORM!", but that was in my head but made me smile nonetheless. In front was a host stand and a welcoming host and hostess who both welcomed us to Jackman & Co and took our name for our reservation and then immediately walked us to our table. It was a booth and I was a bit worried as I am a bigger individual and find booths kind of cramped, but didn't feel this way here. They had ample space for someone of my girth. It's a nice place with a warmth in decor of dark wood and white tablecloths. We started with the Potato Chips and Dip. It sounds very informal, but the chips are housemade (kind of like the homemade chips from Claim Company) and a tasty dip with sturgeon caviar. That turned an eyebrow or two from us, but we ordered it anyway and it was very good. A nice way to start the meal. As I look at their current menu offerings, I'm bummed as the item I ordered, a short rib pot roast on noodles isn't listed, but I assure you, it was there and it was perhaps one of the best dishes I've had anywhere of late. It was so flavorful and filling. It was a nice update of a traditional pot roast dish and I wish they had it on the menu so you could go and order it as it was so delightful. They also had a special drink which is also not on the menu, but it was equally good. We will definitely return and check out their outdoor seating when it is warmer out. The service was one of the worst, bizarre experiences I've had a restaurant. When we first sat down we had empty glasses of water, which my husband claims is always the first sign that a restaurant isn't on it's game. We asked the waiter for water giving them a chance to redeem themselves, but had to ask again, again and again. Our waiter himself did seem to be off his game. We placed our order for drinks and had a in depth conversation with him where he promised my friend to make her a special drink that she'd love. 10 minutes later he returned and asked to take our drink order and didn't seem to have recollection of our previous conversation. It was a busy Saturday night, but still quite odd. Ordering food didn't go much better and of course we had to keep asking for water. We couldn't figure out why he didn't leave the pitcher. He did tell us that he was having a bad day (fair enough), but seemed very unsteady on his feet and we were concerned he may pass out. Towards the end of the meal someone (i assume the manager) stopped by at the end of our meal to tell us that our waiter had left due to a family emergency. We were introduced to a new very smiley and helpful server. We were a little surprised that the manager didn't offer to comp drinks, bring dessert on the house or anything else to make up which was clearly a subpar experience. However, we were mostly worried that our waiter possibly drove home in the state he was in so asked our new server to check on him later. As for the food it was fine. Apps: peekytoe crab toast (3 stars) and devils on horseback (4 stars) Entree: shared the duck tacos (3 stars) and chop't veggie with salmon (2 stars- bland) We skipped dessert, but the dessert menu did look tasty. I'd try again since i know it takes new restaurants a bit of time to get up to speed, but wasn't overly impressed in comparison to other Ballyhoo establishments.

From the app menu, props for the eggplant stack (unique presentation), the hummus trio, and the octopus -- all of which were solid, all of which were enough to be an entree. The entrees are a range of sandwiches (predictable and good), pastas (loved the mushroom pappardelle), chicken (ok, haven't tried them yet -- can get chicken entrees anywhere!), steaks/chops (the pork chop is excellent as is the skirt steak), and seafood (bravo for the swordfish -- which I don't see around these parts much, and the seafood platter). Service was a little spotty at the tables, but that was at an early visit and perhaps it's been worked out; bar service truly outstanding. Glenview is becoming a more competitive restaurant market with several new entrants (although many of them in the old downtown); hoping this family-owned/operated place succeeds the way it deserves to!.
