We have been to the Yardhouse several times and it's always been really good, except today. I ordered the ribeye steak , medium rare. It came very well done. They apologized and said they would remake it . The manager, Tim , came and asked if there was anything else he could do for us. I said it was ok , he said if there was anything else to call for him. So my next steak came and I anticipated that it would be very rare but it was very well done again. I asked the waiter to send the manager Tim over but he sent a different manager . I told her to forget about the steak, I would just have an order of wings and a to go box since my husband had already finished his meal 40 minutes earlier. Well the wings were tiny, dried out pieces, not like the wings had the other times I got them. These even had parts of the meat missing. I again asked for the manager Tim as he had told me to do. And again they sent a different (third!) manager over. I told him we just wanted our check so we could leave and I could try to get some food elsewhere. They told us our check was on the house (my husbands fish tacos and 2 drinks) and we left. I don't think we will ever go back to the Yardhouse after this experience. Do not recommend applying here. I applied a few days ago and was notified to come in for an in person interview today. With multiple reminders about my interview over the past couple days and one only an hour before my interview, just to drive 35 minutes out here and them tell me they're not taking anymore interviews and the manager told them to let everyone know. I usually would not complain about it because a job is a job, but the professional thing to do if you're not taking anymore interviews is to call or notify them before they show up for an interview especially as a hiring manager. Not have your front door staff let them know when they get there. Not a courtesy call or anything. Very disappointed with how y'all go through your hiring process, and will not be applying to this company again. read more

Went here for drinks and ended up with a delicious s'mores brownie!! This thing was so good. It's a warm melted brownie with multiple large toasted marshmallows and powder sugar on top! This dessert is definitely shareable. We also got a flight of beer which was reasonably priced ($10-12). They have a good variety of craft beers to choose from. The restaurant is nice and clean, we sat out on the patio. I would love to come back for dinner some time. Make room for dessert when you come!! read more

I thought it was just our server that was bad but another couple came to sit at a table next to us and they ended up leaving because they waited so long for service. Asked for a simple side of ketchup for our fries from our service and finished our meal before he even got back to our table... without the ketchup. We had our dog with us too, and another server offered to get us some water for him after she played with him, never saw her again. Okay, so I am pretty torn by this review. We have been to Yard House probably 10 times, but 8 of those times we have drank only. Each time we just drank at the bar, our experience has been excellent. The bartenders are super friendly and charismatic, and they really know their stuff. So, why 3 stars then? Because most people aren't like us and go to places solely to drink. "Normal" people go to have dinner. We have eaten there twice. Both times were extremely disappointing. The first time, I ordered the vodka shrimp pasta. Super bland, not flavorful at all. I make a version of this myself and it tastes a lot better. It was definitely not worth the $16 price point. The second time, as you can see, my husband and I both ordered Mac and cheese (about $14) and our friend ordered the orange peel chicken. The mac and cheese was also extremely bland with very little flavor. I found myself hunting out the bacon just so I wasn't eating plain tasting noodles. Can we add some sharp cheddar people? Maybe some garlic, pepper and paprika? My friend LOVED her orange peel chicken. But for the price point ($16) she wasn't sure of she'd come back for it. Again, for drinks I will definitely be back. I love the beer selection, the service, and the atmosphere. For food, I would probably hold off and go elsewhere. read more

There are very few spots where a carnivore and a vegan can go hand in hand to one location, and both have a great meal. Yard House happens to be one of those places! I was very pleased to find this out. I always type in the word "Vegan" in the Find bar whenever I want to try something new. Most of the time the results are far from Vegan, and probably have the word in one of the reviews or something. On this particular day, Yard House popped up on the list. I opened it to check out the menu, and I was pleasantly surprised! There was a whole section of items that were Vegan along with the other appetizers and entrees! I got there very close to opening, so the place was relatively empty at the time. I beat the lunch crowd and had my rule of the dining area. There is a huge bar in the center loaded with a lot of different taps. Television monitors dot the walls above the bar and along the walls, so you have a pretty good view of something no matter where you are sitting. Each table has it's own check out kiosk as well, even though the one at my table wasn't working on that particular day. I ordered the Vegan burger along with some fries. The burger was real good...the quinoa and kale in the burger made it taste great! The french fries were awesome!!! They were like matchsticks! Nice and crisp and hot! I was very pleased with everything about Yard House...since this time I literally ate by myself, when I take my wife during a busier time of the day, I'm sure my experience will be even better! We had a great night meeting friends to get a bite to eat at Yardhouse! Our server, Loreal, is the best!! She went over the drink menu and food menu in depth and answered all our questions. Her input was much appreciated and helped me make my decision to order the lobster garlic noodles and they were so delicious!! My husband ordered a bacon, cheeseburger with cheese and mustard only, it came out lathered in mayonnaise and was missing the bacon, (which he just cannot eat), so we had to send it back. Loreal apologized and took it back and made sure the second burger came out to his specifications! it came out perfect, cooked just the way he likes his burger! In the mean time, the manager, Snow, came out too, to check on us and apologize for the mistake. She was super nice and full of energy & smiles with a great personality! Loreal made sure my husband's meal was comped eventhough we didn't expect that, but she and the manager insisted. Our drinks we all on point too! I always order Dallas Blonde on tap, my husband had his usual vodka with Sprite & lime, our friends enjoyed an old-fashion and a refreshing pink fresca drink. We had a great evening of catching up with great friends, great conversation, and great food and drinks. The restaurant was clean, the bathrooms were clean. It was very crowded when we arrived, but our party was seated immediately. We had excellent service! Thanks to Loreal and her great personality! And will be back. Yard House is a good place to kick back and enjoy a good drink and decent meal. This establishment gets really busy at times so it can be hard to find a table or seat at the bar. The Appetizers- I usually go with the chicken lettuce wraps. The wraps are served as a decent sized portion and you don't feel guilty for eating a decently healthy appetizer. Some of the other good appetizers include: The boneless wings(great sauces and have vegan option), Deviled Eggs & Lobster Crab Artichoke Dip. The Entree- I usually go with the Nashville Hot Chicken. This entree comes with fried sage, sweet patato pancakes and honey hot sauce. It isn't too spicy and definitely has that explosive Nashville hot style taste. When I was going through a vegan phase to bring my cholesterol down(which totally worked btw) Yard House had my go to vegan burger. I don't know how they make this burger but it tastes so good. I think it has to do with the vegan mozzarella. I love the combination of flavors concocted in this burger. The Drinks- So many craft beers to choose from. They also rotate out a couple of the taps to keep fresh new taste in the lineup. I can really appreciate that. If they have more TVs around the bar I would probably watch most of my sports events here. The Service- One of my very few complaints here is the service. They are nice but it takes a while for you to get your server's attention. When they get really slammed, which happens quite often it's really frustrating at times to get what you need. All in all I like Yard House under the right circumstances. It can't be busy and I won't go there if I am trying to watch a game. The food is pretty decent and like I said the servers are nice but they just need to give their patrons more attention at times. read more

I've always been a fan of yard house and I know they got bad reviews all over for bad service. I've never actually ate at yard house before and today was my first time. I'm very impressed with the food and the service. We had a very nice man named John Jones as a server and he was extremely attentive and friendly. I ordered the lamb burger and my fiancé ordered the turkey burger and both were equally amazing. I always rate a place based off customer service first and this place definitely blew me away. This is a great place to watch a football game on Sunday night. I'm here with a group of 16 and our food and service and drinks have all been on point! Game started at 7:30 pm we got here at 7:15, no wait and fast service. I had the Parmesan crusted pork with mashed sweet potatoes and broccolini. Manager please read! Let me start by saying we LOVE yardhouse! Great service, excellent food. Every time. My only constructive criticism from my last visit is for the Cod Sandwich. It is a great idea! Fish and chips sandwich version. Only thing is- it does not have tarter sauce on it or on the side (not the jalapeño tarter sauce- horrible) so the sandwich is soooo bland. It is such a great starting point but needs some punch in the form of vinegar and salt in the coleslaw and vinegar/lemon juice in tarter sauce on the bun AND pickles already on the sandwich, rather than on the side. Bun was also a bit dry. I will order this again, but I'll order it with extra vinegar, as it should already come! read more

Stopped by before seeing a movie at the AMC theater next door. Yes - it was a Friday night and the bar was PACKED. My friend and I found an open cocktail table next to the bar. And actually - there were SEVERAL open tables, but since there were only 2 of us we chose a hightop cocktail table. We were quickly reprimanded in a not so nice tone that they had a waitlist going and we had to leave the table and go back to the front and put our names on the waitlist. I've never been to a restaurant where the cocktail tables were considered open tables that people needed reservations for. We left - horrible, condescending voices be damned. And why was there a waitlist with only a few people sitting in the entrance area when we saw multiple open tables? It's Addison. And it's a restaurant. Visited Yard House with a few friends. I ordered the Carne Asade tacos and a shrimp taco and buffalo wings. It was meh' for the prices. Food came out semi warm... there was no flavor for the tacos. Wings were okay... again semi warm... no I didn't send anything back .. because surprisingly I didn't want to be that person. Had a lunch with my family, 4 burgers fries and sodas nothing fancy. The overcharged was $100 dollars. Went to have a chat with the staff and manager and they wanted a ticket. I mentioned I did not have it, but gave all details, table, waitress, day, time, credit card transaction, that was there previous weekend and they did not care. We have been frequent at this chain not only in Dallas but also at Austin. They fail miserably in the moment of true or dealing with a customer. If you decide to go; be careful and keep your tickets. I have tried out Yard House a few times and had a pleasant experience each time. The last visit was on Christmas Eve and we sat on the patio. The weather was nice but they also had individual get warmers over each table which made it really convenient. They also honored their happy hour specials even though it was a holiday and they were closing early. They have great happy hour food specials starting out with items as affordable as $5 up to $8 appetizers. Not only is it affordable it's a lot of food and it's pretty good. We tried the Asian wings and the chicken bbq flat bread (which is the size of a large pizza). Also tried the spinach dip which is pretty good. On a different visit I got a chicken sandwich with fries and it was pretty good too. Yard House is pretty similar to Social House with just a bigger patio. I don't come here for the food I come here for the setting and atmosphere. It's really laid back but a nice new atmosphere. If your in the Addison area I would recommend checking out Yard House especially during happy hour. read more

In the heart of Addison the yard just got crowded. Yard house is definitely the big kid on block, big place, big menu, big flavors and big selection of beers served in large yards. Want to see a really big bar, then get here. The bar is a large rectangle in the center of the restaurant. The booths are spacious and cozy. This place is spacious with soaring ceilings. The large outdoor patio is perfectly situated in front. Speaking of big menus, I couldn't decide what to order. Looks like to me I'll be back several times to explore this menu till I've conquered it. For my first time I ordered two appetizers. The crispy duck wings and the Kung Pao Calamari. Oh did I get it right the first time. The food was excellent. The duck was juicy and crispy. It had a nice glaze and spice level to heat things up. I could have ate more but I needed to save room for the Kung Pao Calamari. Oh boy it was delicious. Cooked like a true pro. I couldn't get enough. The flavors and texture was unexpectedly awesome. My second time here I ordered the Surf-n-Turf burger. The meat is cooked to your desire. You get to choose from different type of fries. I chose sweet potato fries with an up charge. The burger was topped off with lobster and their special sauce. Very good burger. I put this place very high in my list as a place I'll come back to really quick. Catch me there really soon!
