    Crab and cheese puff

The sesame beef was awful - more breading than meat. Very disappointed. The crab and cheese appetizer is just a rangoon, which tasted good. Inside was okay and clean - a bit dark but felt comfortable otherwise. Service was nice so +1 there. It's an okay spot overall. Maybe I was just unlucky?

Greetings to all, this would be my first time coming to Yangon, so let's see what happened: Parking is a - Not available in the area after a certain time frame and All the Handicapped spaces are Gone as well. This is a D for me. Inside the restaurant itself was a Cool calming experience, with ambiance. B for me. The service was great and the waitress Reminded All of our orders Verbatim. A for me The food we had : Crispy chicken- was good B for me. Salted pepper fish- was a bit too salty C for me. Sweat & Sour Crispy Chicken- was Not Crispy though it was sweet & sour, a C for me. The mango salad- this was an ok dish, a B for me. Coconut rice- this was a bit sticky for me. A C Mongolian Beef over crispy rice noodles- Not enough of sauce made this dish a bit Dry. A C for me. Garlic noodles- This dish was ok, but tad bit too much salt. The Mango Lassi drinks were good. A B for me. I have pics of most of our dishes, but the rest No. Overall, this restaurant gets a Solid 3 Stars from me with room to grow; meaning to say l will return to try other dishes in their menu.

Tofu was the most deliciously crispy! Was looking for a dinner place in downtown Burlingame and this place exceeded our expectations. Great vegetarian options. Service was very friendly and I don't think our water ever reached halfway full with the frequent refills!

    Cashew chicken and rice.

Door dashed cashew chicken and crab cheese puffs, advertised as buy one get one puffs. Only received one order. Also no rice included with the cashew chicken. Was told rice is separate. Really? That's not what the picture indicates. No satisfaction when I called. Zero Fs given

My business partner and I were in town for just a few hours before catching flight out of SFO. We had so many choices to pick from and badly wanted Chinese, but close to the airport too. So we arrived at 8 and they closed at 9 on a weeknight. It's a quaint little restaurant with about 10-15 tables. There was only one other table occupied when we got there. So it was looking promising. Ehhh that's where I should have left. The one female staff member did not seem to happy that we were there. She was somewhat standoffish and not very friendly. Now I'm a little bit of a Chinese food snob. After a visit to Chinatown I'm very picky. I live in Fort Worth, Texas and there's only two Chinese restaurants in the 8 million population metroplex that I'll eat at. So we both order the sesame orange chicken. My go to is just sesame chicken but they didn't have that. No fried rice option either??!!! So we both chose to split Jasmin rice. The food came out in 15 minutes and looked good. The broccoli had no flavor and was undercooked and warm. Sorry but the sesame chicken was under impressive. I ate it but just wasn't great. It didn't taste bad though. Too much breading and the chicken was very small pieces once you got to it. I gave them 3 instead of 2 because the food wasn't bad. Just very underwhelmed!

    Garlic Noodle with BBQ Pork

Had a nice casual dinner here. Tried the Burmese dishes and started with the palatha, which is a fried type of bread with a wonderful sweet sauce. The lamb stew with a side of rice was delicious and tender. Definitely try those two. Also had the garlic noodles with pork. That one was ok I probably wouldn't get it again. Service is great they are nice and attentive. Not too expensive either so u would definitely go back.

Came all the way from the east bay to come here and it did not disappoint. The service was phenomenal!! Our waiter was very attentive and helpful when ordering. Salt and pepper fish 10/10 Eggplant 10/10 Chow Fun 10/10 The food was hot and flavorful and the ambience was very nice. Will definitely be coming back.

I really enjoyed the fatty parts of the pork belly curry. The curry's flavor was pretty good too. The non fatty parts were quite tough though. It was a pretty decent dish overall.

We came here after an airport run. We got here about 8:30 and they close at 9:00, but they welcomed us and assured us there was time to make us anything we would like from the menu. Needless to say, the service and ambiance was warm and welcoming. We chose this place because it was highly rated on Yelp. For a small restaurant, the menu was quite extensive with lots of interesting dishes to choose from. I wish I had been more hungry because everything on the menu seemed so interesting and delicious to order but we only wanted a light meal since we had just come from the airport. We got their signature tea leaf salad which is one of the best ones I have had! The freshly grated cabbages, fermented tea leaves, fried garlic, peanuts, sesame and sunflower seeds and whatever their dressing was, was so refreshing and crunchy. We also had the fried chicken wings which were plump, juicy, and crispy. I also had a mango lassi drink which was delicious and you can taste that the mango was freshly blended . I would love to come here again after the next airport run to try the other things!

I hadn't been here in a while because it is not close to where I live. I was in the mood for Burmese so I went with a friend. As soon as I walked in I was reminded why this restaurant was so memorable. The food is very tasty. The vegetable dish was packed with spices that enhanced the flavor of the veggies. The garlic noodles were perfectly cooked and also tasty. The ingredients were of good quality which really made the dishes pop. The service was excellent! From the greeter to the servers and all other personnel all had smiles and willing to help in whatever way they could. It was bustling with customers which is always a good sign. The floors and restrooms are kept clean. I could not find any garbage on the floors and they were all clean. Overall, you have to come here to know what a great jem this restaurant is.

Yangon is so good! I was looking for more restaurants to try out in the Broadway, Burlingame area and I saw all the positive reviews for this family owned restaurant so I had to try it out. I enjoy Burmese/Chinese food a lot so I was excited and I can see why people like this spot. The owners are very friendly and provide great service and the inside is also very comfortable. They have a lunch special menu that they serve from 11:30am - 3pm on weekdays. They consist of a main entreee with a mango salad and rice (if it's not a noodle dish). It costs $15.50 in total for the lunch special which is nice value for the amount of food you get. What my table and I ordered: - Cashew Chicken - Singapore Noodles Starting off with the mango salad, the lunch special variation is smaller than normal, but it was still pretty refreshing and all the ingredients you could tell are fresh. I got myself the Cashew Chicken and it was really good. The cashews add a nice crunch. The zucchini was cooked perfectly and not bitter at all. The chicken was so juicy and moist. It just melted in your mouth. I also opted for the coconut rice for a slight extra charge and it is worth it because that little bit of sweetness of the rice helps balance out the savory flavors. The Singapore Noodles here I also feel they do it better than a lot of places I have been to. It was savory, but some places make them overly salty. I wish there was a little more shrimp although overall was still a tasty dish. I'd come back here again for sure.

The eggplant we got was also insanely flavorful and well-seasoned, and I would get this again in a heartbeat. The minty jalapeno chicken made me want to try to recreate this dish at home. The spring rolls were also very good, but pretty standard, so it's not a must-try, but they're great if you're craving something deep fried and crispy. Omg, the coconut rice. Curious, as I've always bemoaned the general lack of Southeast Asian options around, but, for whatever reason, I would always pass by without a second thought. However, after finding out from one of my old coworkers that this was where she'd go to whenever she had cravings for her childhood favorites, I knew I had to check this place out...and come back to try even more! Ironically enough, while Ipoh's location makes them super convenient to get to (there's lots of street parking around and SamTrans, BART, and Caltrain are all a short walk away), their nondescript appearance can make them easy to miss if you aren't looking. However, inside, this place is great! The vibe is super cozy and they have tables for groups large or small. As for the menu, it's extensive and chock full of options, from staples like Hainanese Chicken, Laksa, Mee Goreng, Nasi Lemak, Char Koay Teow, and Roti Canai. With nearly 70 other appetizers, soups, noodle soups, vegetarian, poultry, seafood, beef, lamb, stir-fried noodle, rice plates, and desserts to choose from, though, that's far from all they have to offer! -- (#A01) ROTI CANAI - Malaysian Crispy Pancake with Curry Sauce I've had this a few times now (and still no photo) and it's been really tasty every time. The roti is flakey with a lot of layers to it and I LOVE the curry dipping sauce that comes with it. Definitely worth getting! -- (#NR01) CHAR KOAY TEOW - Stir-fried Flat Rice Noodles with Shrimp, Squid, Bean Sprouts, Chives, Eggs, and Soy Sauce I've had this twice and I'm a bit torn. The first time, it was terrific - the noodles were cooked well, they didn't skimp on the seafood, and the dish was straight up delicious. However, the second time, the noodles were overcooked and the dish felt light on seafood. -- (#NR07) NASI LEMAK - Coconut Rice with Peanuts, Chicken Wings, Hard Boiled Egg, Chicken Curry Acar, Onion, and Chili Paste Ehh...this was just okay. The chicken curry was rich, the chicken wing was crispy and moist, and the rice had a strong coconut flavor. Sadly, though, the rice felt a little grainy/undercooked, the acar was really tart, and I wish the chicken had more curry. -- (#N02) LAKSA MEE - Spicy Red Coconut Curry Soup with Yellow Noodles, Shredded Chicken, and Mixed Vegetables Not the best laksa I've had, but it was one of the better ones and easily one of the heftiest. Not only was there a generous amount of chicken, but there was a ton of veggies in this, too. That said, it did make this feel like it didn't have enough noodles in it. -- (#D1) MALAYSIAN ICED TEA Not quite what I expected, but not bad either. I thought this was going to be more like a regular iced tea, rather than a milk tea, but at least it wasn't overly sweet nor overly milky. -- (#P01) HAINANESE CHICKEN with Chili Ginger Sauce A bit different from Chinese Hainan Chicken, but I liked this a lot. The chicken felt meatier, was far more tender, and it didn't have a bunch of bones. I also liked that they drizzled on some soy, but it did make it a little on the salty side. -- (#V03) STRING BEANS BELACHAN - Sauteed Green Beans with Garlic, Onions, and Malaysian Shrimp Paste Sauce To be honest, this was pretty unremarkable. On the plus side, the sauce on this was good and the string beans weren't overcooked. On the other hand, the string beans could've been blistered more and could've used more of the sauce. -- (#BL03) BEEF IN GREEN CURRY with Potatoes, Eggplant, Okra, and Green Beans Other than the choice of meat (I would've preferred chicken), this was great! While I wish the curry had been richer/creamier, it tasted spot on, there was a fair amount of beef, and it was loaded with veggies. Beyond the food, service here is pretty good as well. The workers are all really nice and happy to offer suggestions/help with the menu, the kitchen gets dishes out relatively fast, and I love that they don't really try to rush people to leave even at the end of the night. Since there just don't seem to be many Malaysian restaurants in the Bay Area, it'd be easy to say that Ipoh ranks among the best. However, the things I've tried have legitimately been pretty good. Nothing in particular may have amazed, but it's more than solid and I'd absolutely come back for their Hainanese Chicken, Laksa, and the first version of the Char Koay Teow I had!
