US Post Office - last package to the mainland

US Post Office

I walked to this post office from pearlridge. I don't recommend it. It's really hot out there and I…read morealmost died. Anyway, if you can find it, it's a cool post office! It's kinda tucked away from the main road. Near the intersection of aiea bowl. Once inside, it has this really beautiful skylight design and the AC is strong. It felt so nice waiting in line; I never felt so good waiting in a PO line lol. The workers here are friendly and make small talk. It's cute. They have so many boxes out for people to take and even though there was a line, it went quickly. The guy scanned my QR code and took my box. It hasn't been scanned into the system though and it's been like 8 hours. I'm not sure how post offices work, but at the Ala Moana post office, the tracking on my packages starts only an hour or two after it's scanned. Idk why it's taking so long for this post office to start tracking my box. On my walk over, I noticed that there are quite a few hidden gems in the area. I am literally never in aiea, so this was a fun experience for me.

Unfortunately, after my experience today, I will no longer use or recommend this location. My UPS app showed that my package was delivered at 11:16 a.m. I went to the store immediately after work at approximately 2:39 p.m., showed my ID and the UPS tracking information, and was told that they did not have my package. When I asked what I should do next, I was told to call the UPS 800 number. I left the store, contacted UPS customer service, and they confirmed that the package had in fact been delivered to the store and signed for by the manager, Cara. UPS then emailed me confirmation of the delivery and signature. I drove back to the store and showed them the confirmation indicating that Cara had signed for the package. Instead of taking responsibility or trying to immediately resolve the issue, Cara denied that it was her signature and insisted that she had not accepted the package. While I was calling UPS customer service again from inside the store, Cara eventually checked the returns area and found my package there. This was especially frustrating because she had previously stated that she had not accepted the package at all. Mistakes happen, and I would have completely understood if the package had simply been placed in the wrong area. What made this experience unacceptable was the lack of accountability, the conflicting statements, and the dismissive attitude instead of a simple apology and effort to correct the mistake. A package that was delivered and signed for that morning somehow ended up in the returns pile the same day, and I had to make multiple calls and two trips to the store just to prove that they had received it. Based on this experience, I will not use this location again. Customers trusting this store with their packages should be aware that items can apparently be misplaced, and the level of due diligence and accountability I experienced was extremely poor. Very disappointing customer service.
