Came here around 7pm on a Saturday. Portion size was absolutely huge - fed me both lunch and dinner. I do think that the meat could have been warmer/fresher though.

Located next to Chipotle in the Target shopping center. As you order you pick your base (rice, salad, hummus) a protein (chicken, gyro meat, etc) and two sides they have plenty of options to pick from, even dolmas. You also can pick two sauces. Hearty portions and flavorful food. Service was good, takes a minute for them to prepare your order (no complaints from me!) ambiance is a quaint eat and go establishment. Not good for large groups.

I ordered takeout, and did a build your own bowl with Greek salad, falafel, hummus and baba ghanoush, tzatziki sauce. I also bought a mango pistachio Turkish delight The food was yummy and savory and I am glad I was able to customize it so it would still be nutritious but is vegetarian. I did wish it wasn't $2.25 for one cube of Turkish delight which was sweet but I'm used to getting a bigger block of it (even if it would've cost more), but on the plus side that means you could mix and match to try one cube each of various types of Turkish delight.

4.25 stars Don't remember exactly when they first opened but it was probably around COVID lockdown. Not easy to open a new restaurant when the world shuts down. So happy Yafa Hummus made it even if the bank and bike places next door didn't. Located in a strip mall in west Dublin that used to house Toys R Us and Hobby Lobby. But the area is still fairly busy. Yafa's neighbors include Chipotle and Panera. There's a Target across the parking lot and a Safeway across the street. McDonald's, Michael's and Starbucks are 2 or 3 blocks over. There are also a lot of Mediterranean places that have the same menu so Yafa had to up their game to stand out from the crowd. Yafa Hummus has a smaller menu but almost all they do, they do well. Wish I still lived and worked close by. I would still have this place in short rotation for the yummy bowls, falafel and gyro. Their pita was super fresh, soft, and fluffy. They used the freshest veggies. The meat in the gyro was the best. The GOAT is their falafel which they fry to order. Loved the falafel sliders for a midday snack. But got to give the chicken wrap a pass as the chicken was dry. They also didn't have fries. But they were so new, I think they were still sourcing product when they opened. Think they've added that to the menu since then.

A favorite amongst coworkers and came here for lunch. It was also a nice day to sit at their outside seating. Clean inside and out. The service was great. The workers were attentive and even followed up with us. I ordered my favorite go to a gyro pita. Enjoyed how perfectly seasoned the beef was and how fresh the tomatoes were. Won't be our last time when in the mood for a gyro.

This is quite literally one of the best Mediterranean restaurants I've been to since living in California over 2 years now. Admittedly I was skeptical when Yafa claimed their hummus is the best but I am no longer a skeptic. It is amazing - smooth, smooth, smooth texture, perfect hummus consistency. The home style bite sized sandwich pieces were 10s across the board - a perfect meal to be split between two people (along with a side salad and hummus). To top it off, the service was impeccable - such nice, friendly people on staff who were engaging and inviting. A nice touch like this always goes a long way to make the food even better. I live in Oakland and you can count on me driving to Dublin just for the Mediterranean food at Yafa. Thank you for an awesome experience. read more

Chicken Shawarma Wrap is great. Greek salad? Don't know, we never got it. But, if you order pick up on Grub Hub check your app order verification to what you pick up. Apparently, there is a disconnect between Grub Hub's online verification and the order print-out at the restaurant. I forgot to warn my wife to compare the app confirmation to what she picked up. This happened once before for me. When she got home, she discovered that the Greek salad was missing. Too far to go back. So, we shared the shawarma and fries. Also, with the previous order, we ordered the sliders. They are okay but we're not likely to order again. Still, we like the food. read more

Really wanted to try this after the reviews but was disappointed. The ambience and location is good but the food leaves a lot to be desired. It did not feel authentic compared to the so many Mediterranean restaurants I have tried ever. It was very bland, even the back home shawarma chicken sounded it may pack a punch but it did not, all marks for presentation and service which is good but that's about it. read more

Yay! So glad they opened up in Dublin. Delicious falafel! The bowls are a great deal IMHO. The options are great - we love the kale slaw, greek salad, spicy hummus, the list goes on. The pita is also super yummy, warm and ready to be filled with deliciousness. The staff were super friendly too. In this time, we can use all the smiles and good vibes we can get. My one recommendation, it could be a little clearer what options they will have for delivery/ pickup/ etc. but I think I caught them on the second or third day after they reopened, so I'm sure they will get it sorted out. 5 stars anyway because the food is that good, and I want more already! read more

I like Greek food and my husband tolerates it so we tried this place tonight. The food was pretty good. The tubuleh could use a little vinegar. The shawarma was tasty as was the rice. Hubs had a gyro and liked it too. The only problem I really had and the reason why they are only getting three stars is that they don't enforce masks on their customers. A couple came in with no masks on at all and nothing was said. Because of this, I may not ever eat there again. This is unacceptable at this moment in time. read more

I can see why this place has such good reviews! First time in and I was immediately greeted by the super helpful and friendly staff member taking orders. He was patient and answered all of my questions about the menu, was very personable, and checked in on me throughout my meal. I got the Falafel Deluxe wrap and enjoyed every single bite. It was the perfect balance of sauce, substance, and of course falafel! I will be coming back again for a meal in the future. Speed of service was also great. read more

I just moved to Dublin after living in Newark my whole life and I genuinely enjoy Mediterranean cuisine. Found this spot and thought I'd check it out. As soon I entered the employees make you feel like you've been a regular customer for a long time. Very welcoming and you can tell they really care about their customers. I told them it was my first time and they went over all the options with me, gave me recommendations, and even let me sample some sauces. I went with a bowl with Brown rice, Steak shawarma, spicy hummus, and spring mix and I also got a side of spicy hummus. Everything taste amazing. Definitely found my new favorite spot now that I live in the area. Amazing place and so worth the try!! read more

Super strange that such a gem is still underrated. The food is delicious and freshly made. Staff is very welcoming and cheerful. The generous portions and outstanding taste are key. If you don't know what to order start with the Back Home Style Wrap and you'll never regret it. I tried all the menu items in this amazing place. Give it a try and you won't regret it. For a chain, Yafa Hummus is solid for a quick and filling bite. I have to say I like this location in Dublin much more in comparison to the Tracy location hands down. History

Established in 2020.

OUR STORY - In 1951, our grandfather, Afeef Awad, traveled to the city of Yafa which is located on the east coast of the Mediterranean Sea. While he was in Yafa, he learned how to make Hummus and made his first batch that started our restaurant's devotion for hummus. A few years later, he moved to Amman, Jordan and opened up his own restaurant to give people the taste of his delicious, handcrafted hummus. Throughout the years as a restaurant owner and hummus enthusiast, he perfected his recipe to produce World Class Hummus, which made its' way all the way to California. Our passion is hummus and our ultimate goal is for our customers to enjoy the best hummus period. - Yafa Hummus

very nice place to purchase hummus for impromptu parties with chips. i always get great hummus whenever I need in a pinch when invited to a party. no regrets. real good. lunch sandwich is the falafel sandwiches. very very good and the falafels aren't dry. they, Yafa, have another couple of locations in tracy and in livermore.
