The Veggie Combo Plate came with a variety of mezzes including cucumber tomato salad, piyaz (chickpea salad) with tahini dressing, two dolmas, two falafels, and creamy hummus, along with grilled pita bread on the side. Everything on the plate was fresh and flavorful--the falafel had a distinctive green, herbaceous interior and gummy texture, and the piyaz had a nice creamy tahini dressing on top. The Combo Shish Kabob came with freshly-grilled skewers of chicken and lamb kabob over rice, along with a cucumber yogurt sauce and salad on the side. I also tried their chicken and lamb shawarma, salty and spiced pieces of meat shaved from a rotating spit. I was also a big fan of their harissa hot sauce, a flavorful chili paste with a spicy kick! Falafel town is an incredibly delicious Middle Eastern restaurant. Most (if not all) of their non meat dishes are vegan and can be customized to your liking. The menu is fairly small but everything is well spiced and perfectly cooked. Service is fast and friendly. Highly recommended for a quick bite at any time of the day. read more

I made a DoorDash order so this review is for the to-go food only. Beef Shawarma Wrap with fries and soda combo: my husband enjoyed his meal. He said it was really good and preferred this over Yafa Hummus. Veggie Combo Plate: this was ok. The salad was soggy and looked old, and the dolmas weren't that good. I was, however, very impressed with the falafel. Crispy exterior but moist interior. I like this falafel better than Yafa Hummus and Nick the Greek. The hummus was good and the baba ganoush was okay. I wish it had a little more flavor. This was supposed to come with pita. Side order of hummus: the hummus was good. It tasted fresh and homemade. Under the description of the side orders, it said that the hummus side would include warm pita. Our order came with two pieces of pita Presumably one with the hummus and one with the veggie combo, but that doesn't seem like enough pita? Anyways, the pita came in a bag that you would buy from the store, sort of like a bag with a loaf of bread but pita. And it was not warmed. I would have at least appreciated the illusion of homemade pita .. maybe warmed in some foil. I would order from here again but I'd try something besides the veggie combo plate. read more

I had this place bookmarked a while ago based on several positive reviews from Yelpers that I trust. My family and I met a couple friends here for dinner on 04/13/2024. It wasn't busy when we walked in at 5:30 pm. The owner, Kevin, promptly greeted us. The interior was spacious and clean. There were a couple TVs showing different sporting events. Ordering was done at the counter. Their menu featured the usual array of Mediterranean fare such as gyros, kabobs, shawarma, etc. After a quick deliberation, my brother and I each got a combo shawarma plate while my mom opted for the chicken shish kabob plate. The total, with tax and tip, was about $62. I later found out a 3% transaction charge was added to my bill because they use Clover PoS system. This was not disclosed during ordering. The food was prepared to order and was ready in about 15 minutes. The combo shawarma plate was outstanding. It came with a copious amount of chicken and lamb shawarma, rice, salad, cucumber sauce, and pita bread. The meats were very moist and flavorful. I tried a piece of my mom's chicken shish kabob and it was great as well. The taste of lemon really stood out. Kevin and his family were friendly and welcoming. Overall, I was very impressed by this restaurant. The food was prepped with care and pride, and we were treated very nicely even though this was our first time eating here. The parking lot and outside strip mall is a bit run down. The restaurant has a lot of different options. We went for a shawarma combo plate and a lamb gyro set with fries and soda. Total was just over $30 which is sadly the new reality of "cheap" lunches. The shawarma had the choice of hummus or cucumber sauce and I went with hummus. Food came out in about ten minutes. The meats are definitely it. You have your choice of spice level and medium was the right choice for us. Flavorful with bite without causing us to breathe fire. All of the meat varieties were well cooked -- juicy and crisp. The hummus was great. Lettuce and tomato were fresh and crisp. Toilet was very clean although they had wayyyyy too many air fresheners so if you're scent sensitive you may want to avoid. All in all, an A+ find in Dublin. read more

Falafel Town is located in an old school strip mall that's easy to miss right alongside the 680 freeway. The restaurant is clean and airy with plenty of seating. I ordered the combo plate which has a mix of chicken and beef shawarma with some rice, hummus (or a cucumber sauce), pita, and some chopped salad vegetables. I LOVE Middle Eastern food, so I was really excited to see a large plate full of food show up at our table. Unfortunately, it was quantity over quality. The meats were very gristle-y and salty. The rice was crunchy and clumpy, but not like that yummy crispy rice you get at the bottom of a Bibimbap bowl. More like it had been sitting around a while. The hummus and accompanying pita were unremarkable. I didn't even touch the small salad. When I packed up a box to go, there was a lot of oil on the bottom of the plate. I don't like giving out bad or mediocre reviews, but this food was just not very good. Based on all the great reviews I read, maybe I just hit it on a bad day or something. Falafel Town has re-opened. After reading Cheryl M.'s review; found out that Falafal Town on Village Pkwy in Dublin has opened with the original owner. With some minor interior changes like a couple of TVs and a new menu board they are serving the same Shawarma, Kabobs Gyros and falafels. We ordered the following items Combo chicken and lamb shawarma plate 5 stars large portions with salad, hummus and rice. The medium spicy is pretty spicy. Combo kabobs plate 4 stars chicken lamb and beef skewers smaller portions, served with rice and yogurt. Comes with toasted pita bread. Babaghnoush 4 stars creamy tart egg plant. Dolmas 3 stars 4 per order just ok Order and pay at the counter. CC accepted. Everything is served with cheap plastic utensils. It would be nice if they went with a better grade of throw away utensils, plates and napkins. The TVs videos was some sort of game with a Carls Jr. location on it. A local mailer coupon brought us here this evening. With their buy one get one 50% off wrap or sandwich, we were eager to check out this place located in a uninviting street corner location next to a number of automotive repair shops. The interior is clean and appears newly refreshed, although not modern. There are plenty of interior seating as you approach the front counter for ordering your food. Service is friendly and fast given we were the first to arrive for a 6 pm Friday evening dinner. The menu is simple. Choice of rice plate and wraps with lamb, chicken or vegetarian; there interestingly also are Philly cheesesteak and a regular burger (no lamb burger!). Prices are reasonable given the location and casual setup. Food taste for our food selections - lamb gyro wrap, chicken gyro wrap, lamb gyro plate with rice and salad - were okay. Not memorable and not terrible. We've had better (way better) and also we've had worse. The gyro plate essentially looked like the gyro wrap with added rice and served on a plate. Will we return?
