Lavash Mediterranean offers Persian appetizers, kebabs, and main dishes in an elegant yet casual setting with an outdoor patio. We were started off with a huge round flatbread (which ironically was not lavash) paired with a tasty condiment made of chopped cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, and vinegar. A highlight dish for me was the Appetizer Combination Platter, which came with four dolmas topped with pomegranate dressing, creamy hummus, tabbouleh, and babaghanoush (grilled eggplant with caramelized onion), all of which went together nicely with the flatbread. From the entrees, the Lavash Plate for two came with a skewer each of filet mignon, chicken, and koubideh (ground beef), each of which was juicy and nicely grilled but tasted underseasoned. The platter also came with sumac onions, grilled tomato, and grilled peppers, along with sides of saffron rice and Greek salad. Next, the Pomegranate Chicken was a roasted chicken quarter in a sweet and tangy pomegranate sauce, served with mashed potatoes, broccoli, and carrots. The most unique part of this dish was the pomegranate sauce, which gave a nice caramelization and flavor to the tender chicken. Finally, the Ghormeh Sabzi was a stew of lean beef chunks in a mixture of chopped herbs (scallions, parsley, chives) and red kidney beans. The stew had a bitter flavor from the herbs and a slight sour flavor from dried lime, but overall, the dish was bland, underseasoned, and a bit of a let down. Deliz it was. Didn't see Parmesan cheese, probably speckles. Dressing didn't taste like anchovy dressing. Chicken kabob only 3 pieces. Relatively dry, not moist. gyro sandwich only 1/2. Fell apart easily. Tasty. Tzatziki sauce on side. Has beef, tomato, onions, lettuce & lamb. Gyro & beef burger look alike. Hummus has the usual ingredients, tasted ok. 4.5 stars semi-worthy. Lavash Mediterranean has one of the best lunch specials I've had in the area. For $18, you get flatbread, salad, a chicken kebab, and even a half lamb/beef gyro -- super filling and a great variety. Everything was flavorful and well put together. Definitely a great value, and I'll be coming back to try the rest of their specials. read more

For my visit here , it was a Saturday afternoon. Lavash is pretty new still and is located in the restaurants across the lights and crosswalk from the Livermore outlets . They have dedicated outdoor seating but I was eating solo so I chose to sit inside . I was created right away and given a cold glass water bottle and a menu right away .The server gave me ample time to decide. I went with spicy garlic shrimp (pictured) and the complimentary lavash bread with dipping sauce was really tasty. For a. Saturday the restaurant wasn't too busy I guess it was past traditional lunch time. I chose the spicy gyro lamb wrap and had to take it in a to go container and it fit nicely. I had no more room , I was pretty full. The place is fancy decorated has not too loud background music and very responsive servers . It's a perfect place for date night as it has a simple no too large menu it's healthy and it's easy to pay. It's a QR CODE on your receipt you just use your phone and it you can pay by card and the tip options are simple to understand. No waving down your server or waiting. One last thing is the waiter was too busy in that he forgot my soda that I asked for but it's no biggie. He was on his feet and simply forgot in his busyness. We were shopping at the outlet mall and needed a lunch break and stumbled upon this Mediterranean restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. Even though we were dining at an odd hour there were a few other tables which is a comforting sight! We ordered appetizers and our server brought over the world's biggest complimentary pita and dip. We were looking to try something new in this up and coming developing shopping center directly across the San Francisco Premium Outlets located in Livermore. We weren't quite sure what to expect, however upon approaching the entrance from the exterior and walking into the modern and elegant interior, we were already really excited about the potential. We did check out the menu posted outside on the window, and there appeared to be a good amount of selection and varying price points, which was appealing to us. On a midweek evening dinner time hour, there were only two dining groups, one outside on the quaint patio and one inside. There is only one server who happens to be the owner of this restaurant. For some historical context, their original location was located in lafayette, and they have since sold that location and moved to this one here in Livermore. Also they come from a family of local restaurant tears of well-known establishments. The owner was very friendly and as helpful as he could with trying to manage three tables, including ours. We ordered the tilapia fillet, Koubideh kabob, and the Greek Burger. Our order did not take long to arrive. Freshly cooked, the flavors were well balanced and plenty flavorful. Portion sizes were we're really good, in fact, the Greek Burger could probably be shared amongst two people. We were pleasantly surprised how reasonable the prices were given the elegance of the restaurant interior. We will definitely be back to try some other options on the menu. We had dinner at Lavash Mediterranean recently and it was an alright experience. We showed up about a half hour before closing and were seated pretty quickly. The restaurant is nicely decorated with sleek, contemporary elements and has plenty of seating indoors and some outdoor seating. Customer service was adequate and attentive, despite only 1 person working in the front. We ordered a combination platter, along with a chicken/beef kabob plate and a lamb/beef kabob plate. The combination platter was a good appetizer and included a good amount of food. I especially enjoyed the hummus, tabbouleh, and lavash bread. The chicken/beef kabob plate was okay. I felt the chicken was under seasoned and lacked flavor, so I used hummus as a dipping sauce. It would have been helpful to have some type of sauce or yogurt to complement the meat and rice, as the meat's flavor was quite lackluster. They also included some veggies like steamed broccoli and carrots and a half of a grilled tomato. Portions were sufficient and we had leftovers to take home. I will say the pricing for each dish was a bit higher than expected, and our total for 3 items was $80+ before tax and tip. The combination appetizer platter was $18 and each kabob plate was around $30-35. Another sticking point was the waitress cleared my mom's plate without asking if she was done eating, so my mom was slightly annoyed. Although, it was shortly after closing, so perhaps the restaurant staff were eager to go. Otherwise, the meal was adequate and I'd say the restaurant is possibly worth visiting. read more

I had high hopes since there isn't another Persian restaurant nearby that I know of. The place is really nice and clean. We walked in and there was no one else inside so we were able to sit wherever we wanted. I was really excited for the Ghormeh Sabzi, it is my favorite dish since I was little. I ordered and the rest of group did too. They ordered the beef koobideh, chicken kabob, and spicy chicken sandwich. We also got a hummus for the table. The server brought out a lavash with tabbouleh for the table. The lavash was really good and fresh. The tabbouleh was good but it had onions in it and I've never had it that way, it was good. It added a little something extra to it. Our food comes out fairly quickly so we start eating. The ghormeh sabzi was really bitter, the stew meat and beans were good with the rice but the greens were really bitter. It was really unpleasant. The koobideh was good but didn't seem grilled. The meat looked like it had been baked, despite that it was tasty. I didn't try the chicken kabob but from I can gather it was good since it was finished. The chicken sandwich was a wrap not a sandwich in the traditional sense, not spicy at all and a little bland. The fries looked like they weren't cooked long enough. They didn't have a golden look to them. They were more on the white side. The hummus was chunky and smooth like usual but it was good. Overall the experience was ok but not great. We chose Lavash to celebrate our anniversary and made a reservation earlier that morning. When we arrived, the restaurant was hosting a private party, and instead of being greeted by staff, we were confronted by the party host who repeatedly and very rudely told us to "get out" -- at least four times. We calmly explained that we had a reservation and asked to speak to a manager. After waiting at the door, two waitresses eventually came out only to repeat the same message, with no attempt to understand the situation, no apology, and no acknowledgment of how disrespectfully we had been treated. The lack of professionalism, basic courtesy, and accountability was shocking. There was absolutely no remorse shown by the staff for the uncivilized manner in which we were spoken to. Long story short, Lavash is now completely off our list. If this is how guests with valid reservations are treated at the door, one can only wonder how the food is prepared and served behind the scenes. The Lavash team hosted a private event for over 60 of our guests, and they were simply incredible. Every detail--from the food to the service--was flawless. The khoresht ghameh bademjan was to die for, the baghali polo was hands-down one of the best our guests had ever tasted, and the kabobs were perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection. The array of appetizers kept everyone delighted--each one better than the last. One guest told me the hummus was the best he's had in 30 years, while others couldn't get enough of the dolmeh and the fresh, vibrant house salad. First time visited this restaurant today during lunch with more than 5 people, the place is nice and clean good decor. The service was slow with one person taking orders for 5 different tables and bringing food. He kept forgetting to bring food or something or other. They should at least have two servers at lunch time. My co workers couldn't eat because the food was brought so late, server forgot our appetizer. Food quality is good, serving size is small. I spent over $2,500 hosting my husband's funeral at this restaurant, and I expected much better quality and honesty in their food. The kababs were fine, but the baghali polo with lamb, which I paid extra for, was a complete disappointment. Instead of serving the lamb separately as it should be, they cut the meat into small pieces and mixed it into the rice to make it look like there was more meat, very misleading and not how this dish should be served. The gheymeh was awful -- they even added big chunks of eggplant that I never asked for, and the flavor was nothing like real gheymeh. After spending that much money, the least they could do was serve authentic, properly prepared food. Totally disappointing experience. read more
