solid spot for gyros! also got a side of their Nick fries which have gyro meat on top. easy to share with 2 people. plenty of seating inside. parking is tricky as it's downtown. if you park downtown in front of the business, just know that it's a 2hour limit and there is someone enforcing the rules. Updating: adding a couple stars because the livermore owner reached out personally after the review and said the ink is food safe. I was contacting corporate and didn't receive an answer, so thank you! We used to come here a lot for takeout but the most recent experience has put a bad taste in our mouths. I've reached out multiple times through email, contact us on their website, and other ways but no one seems to care enough to write us back. Our food was blue from the paper they use to wrap the food with and the ink was coming off with a genwipe. I contacted them to ask if the ink was food safe and received no reply. Very disappointing being treated like this as we ordered from Nicks once a week. As for the food. We had some great days where everything looked fresh and others were it looked like the salad lettuce was sitting too long or the meat was too tough. All in all we came back because of the rice, but after this incident we wont be. read more

Good falafel sandwich. The falafels were soft on inside and crispy on outside. Their veggie pita sandwich had perfectly roasted veggies. The platter is pretty good size. I asked for an extra side of spicy yogurt sauce in hopes of dousing the saltiness" but it was still overpowering. The only saving grace was the Greek yogurt. If I didn't get this, I would have walked away sad and disappointed. For an extra $1, they add baklava shavings/flakes and drizzle it with honey. The cup is really huge! Shareable with 3-4 people. Nick the Greek has finally opened in Livermore! After hearing how they just had their grand opening yesterday (7/20), I immediately made a quick trip the day after. It is located in Downtown Livermore - parking is limited but luckily behind all of the storefronts there is a large parking lot you can park at. I made my order online directly through their website, and to my surprise, I received a notification that my order was ready almost two minutes after. Upon walking in, I was immediately greeted with a warm welcome by the employees by a cashier who also helped to explain where the drinks were located. The store was extremely busy (I'm sure it's because they just opened) and looks incredibly beautiful on the inside. They have both outdoor and indoor dining available. I tried the Beef & Lamb Gyro Pita and a couple of fries. The pita was generously stuffed with gyro and was full of flavor, however towards the bottom of the pita there was a large pool of oil and grease. The tzatziki sauce tasted amazing with it as well! Loved all of the flavors. I do wish the fries were crispier, but this may have also been because I ordered to go - it might be much better eating it immediately! Note to future customers: I noticed they occasionally have coupon codes for some of their items that they post on their Instagram too! Great service and great food overall!
