Really really good food you can taste the ingredients were made with intention and put together with focus. the service was delightful and always checking up on us if we needed anything. they also gave a run down of what to expect in the dish instead of just assuming. the ambiance is top tier i really enjoyed it. we went for my buddy's birthday dinner and it was fantastic. for food we all got an assort of tacos burritos and enchiladas as well as some fresca. top tier A+ 9/10 ended the dinner with churros

Tbh came here after a few drinks elsewhere ---- Food was delicious! We asked for extra chips after ordering the chips and guac. Tacos were soo good! Drinks were yummy - tried a margarita and old fashioned, both delish. Service was great and view was great tbh!

Very hip Mexican place. I caught up with my friend here-- and it was good vibes and music all around with great service. You also have a view of the Brooklyn bridge! The guac and chips were pretty decent, and so were the drinks. However, when it came to the entree (the enchilada verdes) it was kind of a letdown. I asked for the vegan option for my dish and it was drenched in sauce... completely so much so that the enchilada was soggy. Looked like enchilada soup, which I did not ask for. Maybe if you steer clear of that particular dish, it would be better. I did not finish my plate.

Definitely enjoyed this spot! Guac and chips were delicious, with a few little pomegranate seeds to add texture and flavor. The goat cheese balls were a welcome surprise (have never seen this at a Mexican restaurant before), served on a bed of a creamy pistachio sauce and drizzled with honey...YUM! Tuna tostadas were also wonderful! I really enjoyed my chicken enchilada with salsa verde as well. Ambiance was nice and they played salsa music the entire evening, which personally I loved. My cocktail was just okay... tasted a bit watered down which was a little disappointing but still didn't put a damper on the experience as a whole. It's also a bit on the pricier side for what it is, but again, I'm okay with that. Dessert was nothing to write home about - the churros were a little on the drier side. They were supposed to have some strawberry filling, but our two orders didn't. Definitely willing to give it another visit to consider that 5th star.

Had a great evening at Xolo with some friends. Service was quick and staff were nice. Portions were large, especially for the price. Tacos weren't the best i have had but were definitely solid. The chips and guac, were very good though! Would recommend

Had this on my list for some time and finally made my way over for a birthday dinner. We were a big group and the service was seamless and patient. Our waiter was on point with our orders. The space is great for a group dinner and the food was incredible and paced well since we ordered a lot. The music was great (latin) and the drinks were tasty and strong. We kept those coming! The menu is extensive with a little bit for everyone, but the standout dishes were: - fried goat cheese and honey - jicama and mango salad - spicy crab and shrimp tostadas (ceviche style) - enchiladas - tamales verdes

Went for restaurant week brunch. Got the Gringa Al Pastor appetizer, Enchiladas Divorciadas entree, and Cajeta Flam dessert. Everything was great, especially the enchiladas and flan. Others got the Fried Goat Cheese (excellent mix of flavors and textures), Fish Tacos Baja Style (4 out of 5), Pollo Asado Tacos (4 out of 5), and chips and guacamole (good guac) Our server Nayeli was so sweet. Ambiance was also great. Lighting, art, design all on point. Would've been even better at night. Def recommend

Checked Xolo out on a Wednesday with a couple friends. We were sat at a table and the view of the Williamsburg bridge here is majestic. Food: - guac (4/5) what you would expect, though a major highlight was the sauce they brought with it. This was amazing and I would buy a bottle if they sold it. - fried got cheese with pistachio and honey (4.5/5) this was very nice. Even could be a dessert tbh -tuna tostadas (4/5) tuna was very nice quality and loved the subtle kick - mushroom tacos (5/5) - THESE. Would 100% order this again. - fish tacos (2/5) - *not* these. Something in the taste was off for me about these. - Chile Relleno (4.5/5) - flavorful and delicious. All the cheese. - Tres leches (3/5) - I'm a sucker for the traditional version and this fancier version was good but didn't live up to the OG. Vibe: very cute spot to grab dinner with a couple friends or a date. Service: great and attentive.

Such a delicious restaurant with a great view of the Williamsburg bridge. The staff here was also exceptionally friendly and welcoming. We ordered an assortment of appetizers and epecially loved the ahi tuna nachos (special) and the cheese quesadilla. I ordered the salsa verde enchilladas, and my husband and friends ordered different tacos. All of the entrees were a 10/10. We also got a few rounds of passion fruit and guava margaritas, which were fresh and flavorful. Highly recommend Xolo for the ambiance and the yummy food!

Wow this place is amazing. I went there with an hour left before closing but the staff never made us feel like we needed to rush and leave. I ordered a tequila based drink with passionfruit. For app we got the elote and chicharrones. The corn was delicious but definitely not a big enough portion. the chicharrones were good but the pepita dip was really what made it. portion was also small though, 2-3 chunks. For meal, I ordered the carne asada tacos and they were amazing! so tasty. the tortilla was slightly crunchy with a nice layer of melted cheese. The meat was deliciously flavored. I also added some of the pepita dip and it brought a tasty balanced smokey kick. The staff was very nice and helpful. Im dreaming of going back again soon.

As a kid from Southern California, it's been really depressing eating Mexican food in NYC until I came here. This is the best Mexican food I've had in NYC. It's become a frequent. Very flavorful, great menu selection, well priced. My only complaint is they aren't open everyday for lunch so I can come more often.

Our reservation was for 8:30pm, but we arrived early and Alejandra, the hostess, was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. Even though she was ready to seat us, we decided to hang at the bar until the rest of our party arrived and that was the perfect move. Alkarys behind the bar was top-tier. She recommended the Siempre Reposado, and let me tell you... smooth, clean, dangerously good. If you're into tequila, that's a must. Now let's talk about the food. We ordered the quesadilla, rajas, tamales, tacos, and the queso fundido and every single dish hit. The queso fundido came out bubbling, rich, perfectly melted with that pull you want when you scoop it up. The tamales were moist and packed with flavor, wrapped beautifully and clearly made with care. The rajas had that perfect balance of roasted pepper sweetness and savory depth. The tacos? Authentic, well-seasoned, and layered with flavor, no shortcuts. Even the quesadilla stood out, crispy on the outside with that perfectly melted interior. Everything felt traditional, elevated but still true to its roots. You can taste the authenticity. Service was attentive without being overbearing, the ambiance was super casual and laid back, the kind of Brooklyn spot you pull up to for a real dinner experience, not just a quick bite. Highly recommend this place if you're out and about in Brooklyn. Definitely coming back for the tequila, the queso fundido, and round two of those tacos. I'm gonna try eating at the bar to check out the spot in the front of the house.

I'm genuinely in love with this place -- everything tastes homemade because it truly is. They have amazing weekly specials, too: * Happy Hour on Mondays ALL DAY with classic margaritas for only $10 (so good!) * Tecate Tuesday, perfect if you love an easy, chilled beer * And my absolute favorite: the Carnitas Combo -- tender, flavorful pulled pork that hits every time, available any day of the week. If you're vegetarian or avoid dairy, the Vegetable Burrito is incredible. It's hearty, packed with flavor, and wrapped in their house-made corn tortilla, which makes all the difference. Don't skip the chips -- with a scoop of guacamole on top of the warm chips. Heaven. Brunch here is another level: * Their chilaquiles are comforting and perfectly seasoned * And the eggs with steak is such a satisfying combo The cocktails are unreal -- especially their signature pineapple spicy cocktail. Truly one of the best I've had. Overall, Taqueria Milear is one of those rare spots where everything feels thoughtful, homemade, and delicious. I can't recommend it enough!

AMBIANCE: Walking to the restaurant from the subway, it's located on an unassuming block at the corner of 4th St and Havemeyer in Williamsburg, front of store doesn't particularly stand out. Walking in they've decorated with creative, crafty (in a good way) touches--the multitude of ropes draped from the ceiling add dimension to the ceiling and the bar back wall is composed of wood pieces forming a multi-colored herringbone pattern. Textured glass pendant lights hanging from the ceiling throw mini geometric patterns across the dark walls, and vibrant canvas artworks add pictorial interest along the walls. FOOD: YUM. I can see why this place was jam packed on a Saturday night, and reservations are needed. Strong recommendation for their tasting menu at $58 pp, what a delightful meal! 8 sharing dishes and 3 desserts were perfect for a party of five, and drinks are separate though you can add a cocktail pairing for $47. For each main they provide a serving per person, and the desserts are shared. I came hungry and was so full by the end of the meal--everything was delicious! - grapefruit guacamole w/house-made chips: the grapefruit chunks were "meaty" and surprisingly went really well with the guac, it added a different citrus element than the usual lime. Comes with a small bowl of maybe 6-7 chips and we asked for two chips refills since the chips to guac and salsa ratio was low. - spicy faroe islands' salmon tartar: tasty and I liked the latin flavors and corn, snow peas, a touch of wasabi. Flavors of the sesame-soy-truffle-lemon vin and crema got a little muddled. Relatively more "generic" dish of the evening though I was here for it! Any dish with fresh tender salmon, I can't complain. - blue crab and carrot tostada, generous shredded crab salad on top of freshly crisp blue corn tortilla. Topped with pumpkin seeds, dill, cilantro, and saffron-orange aioli. - three cheese & artichoke 'queso fundido': served in a very hot ceramic pot and super melty and delicious, eaten with the fluffy grilled pita and green apple slices + salsa. One of the top picks of the evening. - roasted bone marrow and chorizo, served as tacos with fresh blue corn tortillas, and added a sprinkle of pickled onions--does that sound amazing? Bc it was AAHMAZING. - spicy chipotle-guajillo shimp 'diablo' (not spicy): served with pumpkin tortillas and three accompaniments on the side--mushroom chile crisp, horseradish crema, celery 'salsa macha". Part 2 to make your own tacos was another hit! Our entire table agreed if they sold the sauce for the shrimp we'd all buy it. - heritage pork osso bucco 'carnitas' with Fall-spiced black mole, sour cherry mostardo, calabrian chile pesto: cue drooling now. This part 3 of the tacos was served on pumpkin tortillas; the meat was practically falling off the bone, tender, juicy and flavorful. - buffalo-style com 'elote: sooo good too! A little messier to eat since it comes drizzled with spicy hot sauce butter, feta, lime aioli, cilantro, though totally worth it! - Desserts: --green tea matcha churros: comes with two little pots of spiced mexican chocolate & passion fruit sauce. Warm, sugary and crisp without being too sweet. --pumpkin spiced-vanilla flan: topped with sour cherries, cocoa nibs & toasted seed 'trail mix", if you love flan you'll love this, so smooth and creamy with a bit of crunch and tang from the cherries. --pistachio tres leches cake with cream cheese frosting, raspberry, using an olive oil cake: we all agreed this was probably the best tres leches we've ever had. The pistachio nuttiness and the creaminess from the milks paired well. SERVICE: Very friendly and attentive service though it was very loud in the restaurant and they had to really shout. There was a delay in the middle of our meal I think bc kitchen was slammed, after the entree we waited about 35 min for our desserts. Considering they limited the seating to 2 hours and about half of our party arrived 20 min late, and accounting for the long wait pre-dessert, they did us solid by extending our table time by about an hour in total. Also great that they brought the first dessert out with a candle for my friend's birthday.
