Food 100% good. Service amazing. Great drinks! Only bad thing is it's a little pricey.

Vibes are super lit and food is good enough! Felt like we were pregaming the club and we were dancing in our seats :) However, not sure if some of the items were worth the price (mainly the nachos, which were $11 for like 8 chips and the chicken was an extra four dollars, but there wasn't much on there).

Very nice vibe! The octopus ceviche was not traditionally done- it had sweet sauce to it but it was still very good. The California nachos were not just thrown together and had a great balance to all the elements. Birria taco was good and the fish taco hit just right! Margaritas made the right way can have you ordering rounds and rounds.. and that's exactly how the night went. Cozy Saturday evening in the rain with great music service and food! Definitely worth going if you're in the area! Would recommend will be back!

Will travel for a good Michelada and this place definitely gets 5 stars for this drink. We came here for happy hour and we had wings (yum) and flautas. The Buffalo wings had the perfect kick and were so yummy we shared two orders. We also had the cheese flautas. This place has a nice vibe with great music. Andy took care of us and he was so nice! Will be back here again!!!! I wish they made micheladas like these in Nassau county!

I seen this place and I found it so cute I love how the place looks it feels like you're having lunch on a beach because of the theme and bright colors. I love the wall with all the Lucha libre mask is so creative. But because of how it looks isn't why I'm writing this review let's get to the good eats. I ordered a frozen piña colada with the esquites for starters. The piña colada was fantastic so refreshing not to sweet but well balanced and it was nice looking with the orange slices and cherry loved it! The esquites were really good. I ordered nachos the nachos were so good the steak was flavorful it honestly tasted like it came out a BBQ or something lol so juicy with all the condiments it just matched perfectly. I will definitely be back. Manhattan take notes! because since I moved into the city I've tried numerous Mexican restaurants and they are mediocre or just plain bad. I had to come back to my hood to get good eats!!!!! Thank you Mesa Azteca! Will definitely be back! #BrooklynForTheWin Piña colada; 5/5 Esquites 4/5 Nachos 4/5

As you can see I have visited this establishment before. Post pandemic has definitely changed this establishment. No more free chips and salsa while you look at the menu and decide what drink your going to order. The price of the margaritas went up drastically. The price of the tacos shot through the roof, imagine six dollars for one taco!! Umm crazy!! Being born and raised in this neighborhood, I can definitely say that gentrification and the pandemic has definitely effected pricing. The nachos plate came with seven chips, IN the entire plate! Where have you ever seen this? This appetizer was $14 for seven nachos and small amount of chicken. Burritos are normally huge and exploding with flavor, this $19 burrito was not any of that. Small plate def not with the cost. I know that very thing has gone up but when you give a patron something worth while, they will be back. I can say good bye and not feel bad at all.

The food here is amazing. A bit on the pricer side but you get what you pay for in high quality food. I would give them 5 stars but we ordered vegan seitan nachos and they brought steak nachos. I wasn't 100% certain but they looked, tasted and felt like steak. Now I am not a vegan but I was for 4 years and know what seitan is. Nevertheless, it was delicious. Just double check your proteins for the vegans out there!

Food was delicious wished the mole was spicy. The margaritas were on point and got the job done. The service was good, servers were friendly and attentive. Love the outside patio, great music as well

Only had the tacos and queso fundido but they were both good. The tacos were huge, which was great. Had the chorizo and the carnitas - the latter was a little bit tough but still okay. Their drinks are also delicious and surprisingly strong. After a couple I just found myself dancing with my friend LOL - side note, their playlist is excellent! The place def has a festive vibe to it, a bunch of other guests would get up and dance. Very fun place to be at! Will definitely go back.

Mesa Azteca was a good time. I came here with my friends for brunch before a local event and sat in the back patio. We had a reservation and was about 15 mins late but that it was a slow Sunday so both the front and back of the house were pretty empty which initially confused me. Our server was attentive but not annoying which I appreciated. We ordered a few apps between the three of us, the elote and guacamole which were both good. The elote was the standout. I had the tacos, one shrimp, one al pastor and one chicken. They were good but nothing I haven't had before. Overall, Mesa Azteca is a cute space for brunch and drinks that I would suggest for as a pregaming spot or hangout.

AFTER THE CONCERT WE PERFORMED AT KARAOKE CITY IN KOREATOWN Saturday night . Yesterday (July 18th) around noon time, my best friend (whom was visiting from Florida) and I had the pleasure of spending brunch time at Mesa Azteca. This was on the list of many restaurants/places we both decided on during her stay here (since they offer vegan options for my friend). I arrived at first and was seated by the bar to wait for my friend, shared a few words with the bartender (whom I mistaken for as the owner lmfao.. he was extremely nice). He mentioned how Mesa has been open for 10 years and other history facts about Mesa. It's genuine conversation like those I really enjoy just to learn about this history of place. Very sentimental. Our waiter.... Let me tell you about the phrases HARD WORK, Professional plus friendly... Combined all those words and you get him. Very consistent, clean and just superb! Now here's the good part y'all are waiting for.. the FOOD!! My LORD!! I am so glad that me and my friend decided to come here because it literally is reason why Brooklyn homed most of the great rap legends!! The food here wasn't just good, it was AMAZING. We had the bottomless hour mimosas. My friend ordered Vegan Chilaquiles with seitan and her beverage was Bellini, I ordered Huevos con Chorizo and my beverage was the Mimosa.. The quality of the food reminded me of my time in Mexico!! ..here's the catch I never been to Mexico yet lmao! It was a beautiful time at outdoorsy patio very clean and comfortable. Everything was perfect!! THANK YOU Mesa Azteca FOR HAVING US PS: The sauces are spicy and great!!!! Please support!!!! The locals!!

I came here for weekend brunch and had a great experience. They have an affordable $20 bottomless brunch deal. While here I ordered the Shrimp tacos and Guacamole & Chips. There's indoor and outdoor seating. The drinks were strong. If you're looking for an affordable brunch with good eats and strong drinks, I definitely recommend!

Cute little mex bar/restaurant spot in Brooklyn. The waiters are very friendly and they give huge portions for the shots. Not cheap on the alcohol. I ordered the chicken tinga tostada appetizer with a side of rice and beans as my overall entree and a passion fruit juice. The food was very fresh and tasty. The ambience is cute for young adults, music can be loud but talkable. If you don't like loud music, you might wanna check out a different spot. Passion fruit juice was okay, kinda basic. Maybe next time I'll have a drink. Would come back.

I was told that they have Mariachis that play there. Is this true? *I've ate here before but both…

Does Mesa Azteca take reservations? It's listed on Yelp, that they do in fact take reservations however, the person I spoke to advised they do not. I would love to reserve a bachelorette brunch for around 10-12 people in the backyard. Clarification?

Does this place have outdoor seatings?

Yes, They have some seats in the front of the restaurant and they also have a backyard set up.

    When is happy hour?

Hi Alexandra. Happy hour is seven days a week from 3pm to 7 pm and Mondays all day. Thank you for asking.

Does this place have good frozen margaritas?

Yes we do, and they are part of our happy hour specials.

My favorite was easily the pastor as it was so well balanced. The tacos are self dressed, so you can decide what toppings to put on it. Something to note: the tacos are definitely on the smaller side compared to other places like Los tacos no. 1, so get an extra to account for that.

Taqueria Ramirez is a popular, authentic Mexico City-style taqueria in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, known…read morefor its tacos like al pastor, suadero, and tripa, often finished with a blowtorch for a crispy texture. Owned by Giovanni Cervantes and Tania Apolinar, the spot stands out for its real flavors, busy small vibe, and unique options like nopales and a rich dipping sauce. The owners opened it in 2021 to fill a gap in NYC's taco scene. I was in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, to pick up an order from the popular fish spot Piscator. I wanted to check out the food scene there and did some research, which led me to Taqueria Ramirez because it's so popular. When we got there, there was a line, but it moved pretty fast. The place has an open kitchen where you can see all the food being made. They offer toppings, but you add them yourself from a table of condiments. I got two Pastor Tacos, a Suadero, Longaniza, and the famous Tripa taco, which is pig intestines. The Pastor tacos had big chunks of meat that were super tasty and flavorful. The Suadero tasted similar to the Pastor, but it was still packed with flavor. I wasn't really a fan of the Longaniza; the flavors didn't do much for me. If you like bold tastes, you might like it. I also didn't love the Tripa -- the texture was off, and it was too soft. They blowtorch the Tripa to make it crispy, but I didn't really get the crunch I expected. Overall, this place makes some really good tacos, and I'd definitely go back to try their Gringa Al Pastor Tacos, which are only available on Tuesdays.
