So delicious!! I came here on Monday night after work, and this place is on the upper level of the new Tangram mall in Flushing. The mall is beautiful! I love the decor at this restaurant as well. There was a wait when we got there, but we added ourselves to the waitlist and explored the mall before we went to the restaurant again to be seated. The menu has a lot of options, and they're also okay with you bringing outside drinks with you (we brought our own bubble teas with us from another place). The sauce station had lots of options for you to mix and customize your own dipping sauces, and they also had some complimentary side dishes. One unique aspect of this hot pot spot is they have their own brand of sesame oil! At the table, they have pre packaged sesame oil you can use and they are so good. They let you pack any leftovers to bring home too.

Was generally pretty unimpressed. The food and broth were fairly typical and nothing that was so good that it justified the price. I went on a weeknight and there was a fairly long wait and they were out of a lot of items. It was very expensive! My friend and I spent over $60 each for dinner here. Could definitely get the same quality for cheaper at other hot pot spots in flushing. The restaurant itself is very cute and nicely decorated. The staff is also very attentive and helpful.

First time trying this new hotpot place, they have a lot of choices for food. However, it's pricey too. I went there in the afternoon, so there weren't that many people, very glad that we don't need to wait in line. Overall the experience there was very good! Thanks to Tony who serviced us!!! He was very spot on making sure that we got what we needed.

Would you like to be transported back in time to ancient china?…read more How about just testing your spice tolerance to see if you can hang with the best? Well, if you want all of that, PLUS hot pot, look no further - this is the place to be! There is a reason this is one of the highest recommend spots to visit when you're in Flushing. First off, entrance? SO UNASSUMING. It's like, the tiniest door, with no real obvious signage. Once you go through, you basically feel like you're in one of the ancient alleys of China - decor is 1000% great. We had a larger party of 7, and they were luckily able to accommodate us since we lined up a few minutes before opening on a Friday. We actually got IMO the best seats in the house - towards the back, elevated up on some steps, a mini pavilion essentially. But enough about the decor.. how was the food? Well.. GREAT! And honestly, for NYC prices, not too expensive (but a bit pricy for flushing I guess). The quality was top notch (highly recommend trying the mala quail eggs) and the spice of the broth was GREAT! We went with medium since our server (amazing btw, thank you Sean / Shawn / Shaun??) said that he can't even go near hot, it burns his eyes. Medium was just perfect - felt great eating it with some sweats, regretted it the day after, which means I couldn't have asked for a better experience! Meats were good quality, veggies were yummy. I wish the shrimp paste had more in terms of quantity, we barely had seven bites for each of us, but it was really good. Also, pro tip, probably don't order Napa Cabbage, a lot of their other dishes will sit on top of a whole leaf, so you'll probably get enough from that unless you want to consume half a head. Sauce bar is $2 a person - which might be shocking for some to know they charge it, but it's pretty much the norm at a higher end hot pot place in big cities. At least they don't charge $6-$8 like some places and only throw in a few apps/desserts to try to justify it. Overall, really loved this place, and would definitely go back.

The mushroom was my favorite and loaded with fresh mushrooms. -beef tongue rattan pepper: at first the pepper was not overwhelming but with time it was numbing my tongue which was a bit uncomfortable -sliced beef tendon: delicious -prime beef slices: they weren't that soft and not super well marbled. The bowl that our mushrooms came in was rusted... kind of ruined my whole experience. At least server was super nice and attentive. Wouldn't come back though.

They kept surprising us with little extras throughout the meal, which didn't feel gimmicky, just generous and attentive in a way that's rare. What really stood out, though, was something that happened before we even sat down. My family and I were outside juggling a bunch of stuff, and one of the workers noticed. She wasn't even actively assigned to us, but she came over, held the door open, and insisted on helping carry everything in. She didn't just drop it off either--she walked with us all the way until we were seated. That kind of effort, especially when it's not "required," says a lot about the culture there. Beyond the service, the value is just strong. The quality, portions, and overall experience easily justify the price. It's one of those places where you leave feeling taken care of, not just fed.

I was shocked since she is not a fan of Shabu Shabu but she recently gave it a try and now she loves it. I'm like OMG, all those years of missing out. I have read a lot of amazing things about Haidiloa. There are 7 locations in L.A./SF and one in Flushing. I asked the waitress if she knows if one will be opening up in Jersey. She was sweet enough to take the time to ask her manager and inform me that yes, they are planning to in the next 2-3 years. Now that is incredible customer service. We went for the lunch combo $19.99. Seems like everyone else around us was going for this deal as well. You get a platter of veggies and one protein choice and rice or noodles. My sister chose the sliced fish and I got the pork belly slices. We also shared a few à la carte dishes...sliced Angus Beef, shrimp, corn, and tofu. I will say that these items were pricey and can add up. Ooh, make sure you leave a little room for the desserts at the bar. Lots to choose from. I was beyond excited for their drink menu. I got the Seven-Infused Jasmine Milk Tea. For all you Molly Tea fans, this one tasted just like one of their jasmine drinks. And it's only $4.95. Service is a solid 10/10. Waitress wore gloves to take the shell off the shrimps for us. She constantly came by to make sure everything was good. You will surely be well taken care of. We left a very generous tip. Overall it was an epic hot pot experience. Love love love all the little details like the cute aprons, bag for your jackets, little snack treats to bring home, hair ties for the ladies so you can tie your hair up and eat. Lol. There are even toothbrushes and toothpaste in the restrooms. Reservations are a must unless you like to wait 1-2 hours. I cannot wait until they open one in New Jersey!

The cooked dishes that come with the AYCE were delicious and I highly recommend them!

The hot pot itself I think was average but the real standout for me was the appetizers. Seating in a booth tucked away in a corner on the first floor was a bit awkward to navigate. The sauce station downstairs was not well maintained and several items were out of stock, but that may have been because it was around 9PM. Second floor seating and sauce station are better. Food 4.5/5: Main complaint is that their menu is really confusing, despite this being my second visit. There are 4 pricing tiers. Everyone in a party has to choose the same one, so it can get pricey fast. Higher tiers include seafood and more premium wagyu cuts. You still get unlimited wagyu in the lowest tier but seafood is not included. I think this setup is fine because premium seafood items like lobster and crab tend to clutter the pot and are difficult to deshell while hot but also taste worse after cooled. Although the premium wagyu cuts do taste richer and "melt in your mouth," most of the fat is renders into the broth. Therefore, I don't think hot pot is the best way to enjoy wagyu, so the higher tiers didn't feel worth the price. The best part of the meal was definitely the appetizers and specialty dishes. The wagyu bone marrow was amazing and a must-try but only available to the second tier or up. Ambiance 3.5/5: I think being tucked away in a corner booth made the experience less enjoyable. The table was small for a party of 6, so we constantly had to rearrange dishes whenever new food arrived. It was inconvenient that everyone had to get up whenever I needed to refill my drink or sauce. Service 4/5: The first floor sauce station wasn't restocked throughout our stay so options were limited. Otherwise no real complaints regarding service to our table.

The restaurant environment is clean and comfortable, and the atmosphere is pleasant. As someone from Sichuan, I found the flavors to be quite authentic. The beef tripe (qian ceng du) was reasonably priced with a generous portion, and the spicy broth was excellent -- flavorful and well-balanced. Service was also attentive and friendly throughout the meal. However, there was a small but concerning incident toward the end of our meal. While eating, I suddenly felt a sharp pain on the roof of my mouth. I then realized that the chopsticks had cracked in the middle, creating a sharp splinter that caused a minor injury and bleeding. This was quite unexpected, as I have never experienced anything like this before. The manager responded promptly, provided ice water, and asked if I needed medical assistance or an ambulance, which I appreciated. A discount was also offered. Since the injury was not serious, I chose not to escalate the situation further. Overall, I still think this is a good restaurant in terms of food and service, and I would consider coming back. However, I strongly suggest that the restaurant improve quality control of their utensils to ensure customer safety. This could be much more serious if it happened to a child. Hope to see improvements in the future.
