    AYCE
    Jenny N.

I made reservations via Yelp for six people for 6:30PM on a Saturday, and while I thought reservations weren't needed because of how empty the restaurant seemingly was, I was quickly proven wrong by how packed it got within the next 30 minutes. I saw there was a whole wait at the front while we were eating! There is a one-time price depending on which soup base you order, and it may cost a bit more if you order a half/half, followed by the set AYCE price per person for hot pot. Soft drinks are free, and it is BYOB! Be careful with ordering the spicy soup base though - the medium spice was wayyyy too hot I recommend having only one person be in charge of ordering with one phone on everyone's behalf, because we ended up accidentally ordering a bit more than we expected since we each used the QR code in our individual phones all at the same time, and we ended up having to cancel the last round when everything came to our table, (which they were super nice about and did not charge us extra!) The portions were not too large, but definitely order in rounds so you don't overwhelm yourself! As dessert, I recommend the fried buns with condensed milk. They also offer free hotpot +/- a week from your birthday if you show your ID!

Just found out this place closed but we went a few weeks ago and enjoyed it. Got the half and half broth and the desserts were especially amazing and warm !!

Even though it's a smaller spot, Joypot delivers with big flavor. Definitely recommend it for hotpot, especially on a cold winter day. Setting: LIC, near the Court Square subway, but if you're driving parking is difficult. Tables are a bit smaller than most hotpot spots, so order accordingly. Service: Really friendly and quick, which made it easy to get our ordered food fast. Food: We got the 1/2 mushroom broth and 1/2 spicy beef tallow - both of which were delicious. The meat here did not come defrosted, which is not something we're used to, but everything cooked well. Overall, we loved the experience and look forward to returning!

What a fun hot pot spot! Met a friend here as it was close to the 7 train stop for her, and she was really craving hot pot. Now do I suggest doing hot pot in the summer heat...maybe next time we will wait for a cold winter night. I mean, I'm not sure if the sweats came from the heat or the meats but either way we enjoyed ourselves. The spot is smaller than most and was open on a Tuesday. I actually made a reservation online but really didn't need it. When we walked in, we were able to pick any table that was free. There was one other small party there enjoying a meal as we walked in to embark on our hot pot adventure. AYCE dinner for $40 plus the additionally one time broth charge...done deal! We went with the mushroom and pork feet (we did the two broth option which is definitely the way to go). I thought the pork broth would be a clear front runner but the mushroom was where it was at. They put dates in the mushroom broth which gave it a nice touch. Both were super delicious and by the end we just were dumping in everything to whatever side and grabbed anything we could until we couldn't fit anymore in our stomachs. Not to be overlooked is their sauce bar. Smaller than others I've seen, but they had all the essentials. Everyone there was super nice, very helpful when explaining cooking times and everything came out super fast. A joyful experience at JoyPot, and would come back again probably in the colder months.

Delicious ayce hotpot with great service and plenty of space! It's not as good as flushings and has more limited options, but that's to be expected and a great alternative when flushings is too far. They have a decent variety of seafood, veggies, broth options, meat, sauces, and dessert. The service was extremely friendly and they bring out the ingredients promptly. I especially loved the coconut lava balls. They were so good and fresh every time! I didn't enjoy the sesame ball or pumpkin dessert, but that's okay! It's part of ayce, so it was fun to try! I left happy with a full belly!

It's our first time at JoyPot. The waiter explained to us on how to order the items for our hot pot. We placed our orders directly on our phones and our orders went directly to the kitchen. It's a very efficient way. I was surprised to see they have shrimp chips at the sauce station. The meats choices were solid and adequate. But we really enjoyed the wide tofu and mushrooms options. They also have a variety of vegetables, noodles and other non-hot pot items available. We couldn't try them all because we were full just from our first round of ordering. They also have many dessert items. We ordered coconut lava, sesame balls (both were our favorite) and pumpkins cakes. We chose two mushroom broth for our soups. One was the regular mushrooms with pork bones broth and the other was mushrooms non- pork bones version. Both were very flavorful. It's a.good values meals especially when the price includes Sprite or Coke and desserts. We enjoyed our experience there. We went there on a Tuesday night so it wasn't too crowded. We were able to enjoy eating delicious food leisurely while having good conversations.

Great small and casual AYCE hot pot spot in LIC! I came here one evening and fortunately, there was no wait (although I've heard that other times it may get packed, so book a reservation if you can). The inside of the restaurant is pretty small compared to other hot pot spots, but there's definitely a good amount of seating. When I went, I got their tomato broth and their chicken broth (which were both pretty solid). They also have a sauce bar that is pretty standard, with some small appetizers. We ordered a variety of different items for our hotpot and overall, everything was pretty decent. The only thing is that I thought that the meat quality was not the best--it was a bit dry and tough. But, for AYCE, this spot isn't bad!

I've been meaning to check this hot pot place out as it's in LIC. We didn't make reservations, but it wasn't necessary on Christmas Eve. I was a bit confused how it works, but you have to order from their qr code. Once you open up their menu on your device, everyone at your table can see what ingredients that you decide on. It's very convenient. They have different types of soup bases which they charge for as well. If you want to do a double pot they charge for that as well. I felt nickle and dimed for the soup bases. They didn't have a lot of ingredients such as the vegetables, wish they had more variety. Overall, it was a good experience.

I first want to start saying that I am a hotpot maniac who have to try all these new hot pot places. I think this is on my bottom 5. Service, i rarely see the server. They threw the tablet on table and never came back until food was ready. Hope they explain the system when customers come. I was a bit confused with menu at this restaurant. (It wasn't that busy at all.. they were on there phones) Food was mediocre. Yes most of these hotpots are frozen foods anyways but meats were defrosted wrongly. They were either spongy and watery or tough and dry. And no, i did not overcook them. Vegetable and mushrooms were cleanly prepared but i wish they bring the amount of dishes i ordered. For example, i ordered 4 dishes of cabbage. They always bring 1. When I try to talk to the servers, they run away... Maybe it was a day I visited, or maybe servers were fresh new. I did not love this place for mediocre quality meat and low quality customer service

AYCE Hotpot in LIC near Court Square Station. Prices are quite reasonable for AYCE, and extensive menu of different meats and veggies. I've been here twice, and have always left satisfied and super full. Sauce bar is also solid; it's not as big as some of the other Manhattan hotpot joints but they have all of the essentials. Restaurant isn't particularly big; I would say max for a table to comfortably sit would be like 8ish. Hotpot is also ordered via a QR code, which is nice that you don't have to wait around for a waiter to take your order. Would recommend if you're trying to get AYCE hotpot at a reasonable price in the area.

    Emily L.

Solid AYCE hot pot place right by the Trader Joe's in LIC! It's not too big inside but they have a wide variety of different meats and so many veggies! I will say that I really liked the ribeye and I recommend it to everyone. They also have a lot of seafood options as well but I liked the meats more. They had a lot of mushrooms from enoki to woodear mushrooms and a lot of noodle options. I went pretty late at night and they close pretty late too on the weekends which was nice on a Sunday! They have a pretty good sauce bar and the staff is very good at taking away plates so they were pretty perceptive. The restaurant is pretty cozy but I wouldn't say it's ideal for large groups. I think you can do like 6-8 people on some tables. But if you have 2-4 people, they have a good amount of seats available.

    Fresh ingredients :)
    Vivian L.

Solid ayce hot pot. Make your own sauce, order as much as you want, and includes desserts! Not much for ambiance and music but overall everything tasted fresh and flavorful. I really enjoyed the spicy soup base and their pork feet one. All the meats and veg were portioned nicely. Desserts you can order just one piece too. Fresh prawn balls were a nice touch. Tripe and liver too for more offal based cuts. All the beef was not too fatty but still marbled. I personally enjoyed all the mushrooms and glass noodles that soaked up their broth. Would recommend with a lot of friends!! And if broth gets low, reminder to ask them to fill it back up!

For the specialty item, we got the Wagyu Bone Marrow and Sweet Shrimp Sashimi. Wow, both of these were delicious although the bone marrow was a bit fatty and more of a show. Nonetheless, it's expensive stuff and I've definitely reorder multiples of this if I got the Diamond Set. The waitress recommended 2 orders of each meat to start, which was perfect. Everything came out so quickly too. I really enjoyed the scallops, shrimp, and abalone in the seafood platter. I found the king crab too difficult to crack and eat though. We also really enjoyed the sides from the minced wagyu rice to takowasa. We ended up ordering another 3 sets of meat before we were too stuffed. I liked the ribeye and brisket most.
