I had been craving feijoada for weeks until I discovered there was a little Brazilian enclave right here in Astoria by the 36th Av (N/W) station, though there are a few other Brazilian restaurants scattered around the neighborhood. Copacabana is a no-frills buffet por quilo, which is self-serve and weighed by the pound. They have a hot bar section with loads of protein options, a salad bar, and a section where someone slices up freshly roasted meat for you. There are takeout containers as well as plates if you choose to sit down in their adjoining dining room or outdoor seating. Overall, it was a pretty chill experience and I liked the laid back pace. I got my feijoada and rice, along with some broccoli and an oxtail that looked pretty good and everything came out to about $15 ($11.99/lb for hot bar + salad bar only). The oxtail was super tender and was cooked in a sweet tomato and onion rich sauce.

Less than $12 bucks for a plate of steak, feijoada and a few other items.

This is still my favorite self service/buffet place in Astoria. Very tasty Brazilian food for a decent price. Their picanha and other Brazilian churrasco steaks are the best for a fair price, staff is friendly and there's plenty of seats inside. Even for those who don't enjoy meat there's a good variety of vegetarian options.

Their meats are amazing! Particularly enjoyed the top sirloin with garlic and the short ribs. Love that they can cut you pieces of meat straight off the skewer. Place was really clean and not too crowded on a Saturday night. Will definitely come back for the delicious meats!

Ate here after work for lunch and dinner as a temporary substitute paraprofessional at P.S. 112 Q trying Brazilian food for the first time feeling curious about what to choose and eat. I had chose tried and eaten a variety of meat and different types of dishes and sides with a can of Brazilian soda. It was definitely good and delicious. The service there was also attentive. Finally, I would definitely eat and come back again next time.

Another great Brazilian buffet with food that doesn't disappoint. Went over to the Astoria location, I've been to the one in Jackson Heights about 5 years ago and this place has a similar vibe to its other location. Food is also affordable too, my plate was about $15, bumped up to $21 with dessert and can of soda. A bit disappointed I didn't see any chicken anywhere in the meat section so I settled for strip steak and roast pork which was pretty decent along with seafood and vegetable yellow rice with a plantain on the side. It was a relaxing lunch and the service was pretty decent.

My best friend is Brazilian. Her mother took us here Sunday and the food was incredible!! I loved it. The place is nice it also had an outside sitting area. I will definitely be going again!!

A hole in the wall, no frills spot that serves a hot + salad bar for $8.49/lb. Also more expensive options if you get the bbq/churassacuria meats at like ~$10/lb. Ain't the fanciest food out there, but with various salads, lamb, beef, chicken, cod it will hit all the notes. The beef was a brisket that was super juicy and delicious. The cod and chicken were saucy and flavorful. Very authentic and homey cooking. Also great selections of exotic juices, e.g. cashew nut juice, guava etc. At this price point, Copacabana cannot be beat. *I'm sorry Whole Foods but your hot bar is way too overpriced for what you're selling.

This is a no frills but authentic Brazilian restaurant. There is a self serve buffet where you help yourself and you are charged based on the weight. The buffet includes selections such as feijoada, farofa, chicken, spaghetti, rice and beans, hard boiled eggs, and many more. There is a large salad bar area too with a good mix of vegetables. The feijoada is a must try. And for a little extra money, you can get grilled churrascaria meats such as steak, sausage and chicken. I thought the sausage was especially tasty. I have been to other Brazilian places in Queens that are similar such as Aroma and Villa Brazil. Like some of the other places, some of the buffet selections here seemed a little old and dry but it's to be expected from a buffet. Overall, you still get good value for your money.

If I could give this sorry excuse for a Brazilian "eat in, take out" restaurant, ZERO stars I would. The mashed potatoes tasted like they were made from a box. The chicken drumsticks tasted like yesterday's leftovers. They were not fresh. No meat on the grill looked appealing to me, so I did not get anything. I feel so ashamed that I tried this place out. Stay away from here! Go to Villa Brazil Café Grill instead. They have way better food.

Wednesday. Acarajé! Yes! You have all barbecue meats and dessert. I go 3-4 times a week because big variety of salad and food there. It's fast and very inexpensive. Service outstanding from everybody that works there.

Everything was good. The food was on the heavier side. There's pretty much no service there. The bbq is nice as well. Classic Brazilian food that hit the spot when you need it.

The food is amazing! Picanha is so goood and everyone here is so nice. If you're in Astoria I would definitely recommend.

The price of buffet is per lb? Ir it Is "all you can está"?

It's per lb. They do not offer an all you can eat option. The price is really good though, my individual bill is usually between $8 and $11 in average.

What is the price per person?

$8.99- for meat only $7.49- for other dishes

It's also a bit on the small side but I'm guessing it's tailor-made for outside dining so it has that aesthetic going for it. The woman behind the register taking orders was very courteous and very patient with me because this is the first Brazilian spot I went to that isn't a dedicated buffet. I ordered some food that came up to almost $30 and it sure did come up with a lot of food. Even the Empanadas were larger than usual so I guess you certainly get what you paid for. No complaints about the food whatsoever. The Grilled chicken I had was surprisingly juicy and tender. It even came with fries and a side salad, which caught me off guard because the menu didn't specify what sides it came with so I thought it was just the meat which prompted me to order some rice and beans on the side so I basically had an entree with 3 sides and 2 Empanadas. Despite the heavy amount of food I unwittingly ordered, all of it was great and it didn't feel like a chore eating it all. The service woman cleaned my table after I was done, asked how I liked my meal and even requested a dessert. I always give credit to service going an extra mile so this place definitely deserves a solid 5.

I can't remember the name but there was this one steak that was really good, it was the first option served to us so that set the tone nicely. Do not skip the rice and frijoles, the mango salad, or the potato salad, which is a full-on gastronomic delight and somehow tastes like someone's Brazilian aunt put her soul into it. The cocktails are another highlight. My wife had three and every single one landed. Big kudos to the bartender because that bar program is doing serious work. Dessert also deserves applause. The Brazilian cookie cake and passion fruit options are stunning, bright, and joyful, the kind of sweets that make you pause mid-conversation and nod in respect. Where things falter is the rodizio itself. The meat selection felt limited, and the quality just did not hit the mark for me. The restaurant recently transitioned from offering both traditional and halal meats to becoming fully halal, which I understand from a business and community standpoint. That said, as someone who grew up with a wide range of meat preparations, I can confidently say there is a noticeable flavor profile difference, and here it came across as flatter and less indulgent than expected. It felt like ordering a sports car and realizing it tops out at second gear. At around $150 for two with drinks, I wanted that wow factor, and it never quite arrived. For context, I enjoy places like Fogo de Chão, though I admit they sometimes overdo it on the salt. Still, I miss things like Brazilian pork sausage and pork bacon, which you will not find here due to halal certification. That absence is felt, especially for carnivores chasing that classic churrascaria experience. Would I come back? I'm honestly undecided. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who eats halal or prioritizes cocktails, desserts, and an excellent salad bar. For hardcore meat lovers, it may feel like a great playlist played at half volume.
