I had been having issues with my Xfinity service for several weeks, and in spite of repeated attempts, their customer service was unable to resolve. I was about to schedule a service call for a technician to come out and have a crack at it, when I happened to be shopping near the San Ramon store Sunday afternoon and thought, why not see if they can help. I'm sure glad I did. I had the good fortune of meeting Alex, who worked miracles. He had me explain the issue in detail, and apparently listened. After I told him I wasn't expecting much, he dove right in. It took a little while, but damn if he didn't resolve the problem! I honestly thought I'd return home to the same issues, but it was amazing - my internet has never worked so well. So if you're reading this Xfinity, thanks for having associates the caliber of Alex. My wife bought a new phone and needed the information transferred from the old to the new. We made an appointment and were warmly greeted by Patrick. He's awesome! The way he treated us was over the top. The patience and gentle way he dealt with us were greatly appreciated. I didn't feel pressured to buy anything even though I questioned him on some X-finity ongoing promotions. My wife was even offered a phone case at a good price which he didn't have to do. The young lady with the light brown may be blonde hair, pulled back in a low ponytail, looked me right in the eyes, rolled HER eyes, looked me up-and-down and said yeah maybe... and just walked away. I came here on a Thursday at 4:30 pm to get a new modem for my new internet service plan. I dealt with customer service agents over the phone to get a deal on my plan which was a nightmare (transferred from person to person; being misled, etc.) but eventually sorted it out and eventually found out I had to go get a new modem at an Xfinity store. I visited this store and I do think my visit could've easily been less than 5 stars but I happened to get there just in time. I was able to get assistance immediately upon entering. I explained what I needed to the worker who got me a new modem right away and I also had a couple follow-up questions from my phone conversations with Xfinity which he was able to understand and answer right away. The reason I say my experience could have easily been less than 5 stars is because as I was there for less than 10 minutes, a line started forming and there were 3 or 4 people in line, waiting for people to assist them as I was leaving - and it seemed like it might be quite a wait, as the 3 or so other workers were all helping others when I had arrived and didn't seem to be close to done when I left, so most cases probably take quite some time and I could've easily ended up waiting a long time for help if I arrived just a few minutes later. I would visit this location again if needed, but probably try to come earlier in the day, if possible. read more

FAST AND EFFECTIVE SUPPORT FOR A BAD SIM CARD After working fine for years, my phone switched to only accessing the Internet while on WiFi. I wasted a couple of weeks going through multiple restarts and endless setting combinations before giving in and making a trip to the San Ramon Xfinity store where service was instant, and it took them just 15 minutes to diagnose the root cause, (bad SIM card), install a new SIM card (great price - FREE! :-) and verify operation. The tech gently pointed out that my Note 9 was getting a bit long in the tooth, to where some problems might be expected, but wasn't too pushy about selling me a newer one, making me much likelier to go back when I do decide to pull the trigger on something more capable, (which could be sooner rather than later); the Note 9 still works great EXCEPT for being locked out of high security apps, like banking, medical etc., as it no longer satisfies security requirements. read more

Picking up new equipments due to the move back from out of state. Ambience was very pleasant and the retail sales consultant Brianna was very pleasant and made sure I get the right equipment. Provided me guidance to where to get the directions for self installation. Needless to say the self install went smoothly and definitely recommend to check the store. Omar Actually Helped When No One Else Would I came into the San Ramon Xfinity store a bit frustrated after trying to activate my unlocked 2023 Motorola Razr+ that I bought from Best Buy. Even though it's the same phone Xfinity sells on their site, the IMEI checker said it wasn't compatible. I called support, tried online chat, even went to another store (Emeryville, DO NOT GO THERE) no one could help or was willing to even try. That changed when I met Omar. He actually listened and went out of his way to get it figured out. He ended up getting approval for the phone and gave me a physical SIM card so I could activate it. It worked. I really appreciated that he didn't brush me off like everyone else had. First of all, I'm so glad that this store is closer than the Concord store. For the two times that I visited the San Ramon store, I felt truly taken care of by the staff. Earlier this week, I had to come in to request new equipment. Anthony greeted me with a beaming smile. Unbeknownst to me, I arrived right before his lunch hour and he didn't know that I would have 5 million questions for him. I felt so bad when I knew that he missed his lunch to help me. However, I didn't feel rushed, and I felt like he went the extra mile to help me understand my options. Anthony was super informative and really cared about the questions that I asked. He is the epitome of an engaged employee who truly cares about customer service! He provided me with the new equipment and provided easy to follow instructions for setup. Today, I brought back the equipment, Anthony, Angel and Tony were busy helping another customer. I didn't have an appointment today, so I walked in and waited like 30 to 60 seconds- not long at all. I was pleasantly greeted by Darden. He was so super nice, helpful and informative. He , also, didn't seem to mind my questions to gain understanding. Terrible Experience with Xfinity - Stay Away I've been a loyal Xfinity customer for years, paying around $45/month for internet service. I had a known dead spot in my house--far from the router and blocked by walls. When I asked for help improving coverage, I was told the only solution was to switch to their top-tier plan at $125/month. Reluctantly, I agreed. Big mistake. The service was exactly the same. No speed or coverage improvement--just a significantly higher bill. When I complained, they offered to send a WiFi extender for free--but only after I waited 30 days. I waited. Nothing came. I called again and was told I didn't qualify for the extender and would now need to pay for it. So much for that promise. When I asked to switch back to my previous plan, they claimed that plan only supports up to 8 WiFi devices, and since I have more than that, the $125/month plan is the only option. Basically, I'm trapped. No real solutions. Just a constant runaround. It feels like they say whatever they want to lock you in and keep charging more. Beware. There are no real options, just upsells, broken promises, and poor support. read more

Xfinity store on San Ramon Valley took care of replacing a remote for me and made it totally effortless. I was in and out of there and no more than 15 minutes. The service representative Anthony did a great job. He also gave me instructions on how to install it myself when I got home. In ess than five minutes I hooked it up and is now in full operation. Good experience here when we were switching ownership of our account. The person helping us was nice and helped step by step what to do and what to expect. Wait time wasn't too bad, however the process kind of felt like it took longer than expected, however, in these types of situations I wouldn't assume it's a quick in and out service - plus, we want to make sure things are done right. I did ask a lot of questions and she was able to assist and provide reassurance. Nice that they had that huge screen in the back of the store to play things to entertain guests as a little distraction during wait times. Best to step into the store with an appointment. I found out I was deceptively oversold the services I don't need by one of the employees here who did not provide name. My husband and I went there Saturday to make owner change on our account and payment method from his to mine. We only need Internet service and the existing service included phone and TV streaming. The male employee told us that for the change we wanted to make, only bundled package deal was available since we are making changes on the same account and same address. It means we would pay $70 more per month for the streaming and phone services that we don't want. Since he said we were limited by this option, we reluctantly agreed assuming the changes were made on the same account. He even offered to upgrade our router. Somehow both of us felt doubtful about this limited option choice. We did some research online afterwards and I went to the Dublin corporate store today. I found out the rep in the San Ramon deceptively lied to us. First of all, he did not make changes on the existing account. He actually closed the account under my husband's name and opened a new account under my name. Second, with the new account under my name, we could have the option to choose Internet only services. He lied to us about our limited option of bundled deal. Third, after I questioned TV and phone services that we don't need in the store, the rep lied that we can cancel those after a full month of staying on the bundled package. As a matter of fact, I found out from the Dublin store we can cancel anytime. I ended up canceling this new account set up under deceptive sale practice completely and set up another new account with Internet only service under my name for half of the price. I feel so angry with that employee at this San Ramon store. I have never experienced such blatant lies from any service providers. Dublin store employee told me the San Ramon store is only an authorized dealer store so he cannot file a complaint for me in Xfinity system. I will have to go to the San Ramon store to file a complaint. I don't have the employee's name but he provided his number 510-565-2489 if the store owner wants to investigate. For now, I do not trust this business and would not recommend it to anyone. read more

I am a new customer and in less than 2 weeks I have problems with my internet that the answering service cannot help me so I requested an technician to come. I was not informed that a technician will cost me $100.00 because I have AT&T and they NEVER charged me for the technician to change the modem or troubleshoot my internet service issue. They charged me when the problem was their fault. The issue came from Xfinity coz their internet service was down in the area. I had really long conversation with Xfinity over the phone trying to troubleshoot a Pod to extend my wifi service at home. Their troubleshooting skills are limited and customer service recommended to walk into an Xfinity retail store for a device swap as we determined the Pod was defective. Walking into the store Josh, Athena and Drew greeted me very respectfully and understood my concerns. With no hesitation they got straight to the point and apologized for any inconvenience in little to no time they exchanged my device and had me out the door like a happy customer should be. AVOID!!!! AVOID!!!! AVOID!!!! tried changing cell phone service, the price was good, the salesman was nice, but thats where it ended. Ordered 2 new iphone 16 (Wife and I), ok, they sent the wrong iphones. Had to wait all day Saturday , delivery had to be signed for finally came after 4:00pm (said it would be delivered in the AM). Second phone was delivered on Monday , same thing only it was delivered after 6;00pm. So now, we waisted 2 hours at the store getting the original order, waited 2 full days for delivery, and they were the WRONG phones. We brought the iphones into the store to exchange them for the correct iphones. Salesman said it would be no problem. He activated one of the iphones, but could not complete the transaction for the second iphone. This was after another 2 hours in the store. FINALLY i said enough is enough I was done, I wanted to cancel the whole change to Xfinity Mobile. But here is the worst part, He could not but my phone number back on my original iphone. So now we have spent at least 4 hours in the Xfinity Store, 2 full days waiting for the wrong phones, and I don't even have my original phone working. We had to go to the AT&T store to get my old iphone reactivated. But we could not, because Xfinity had transfered my number (i have had this same number for over 20 years), so we spent another 3 hours at the AT&T store trying to get my number back (that Xfinity has now stolen from me). So I have to try again tomorrow morning with AT&T, because the technicians had left for the day. I have bought and closed on houses in less time than it takes to get iphone for Xfinity!!! NEVER!! NEVER!! NEVER!! use Xfinity for Cellular service!!!!!! it might look like a great deal, but what good is it if they cant get you the iphone you thought you were getting, then they steal my phone number.
